This book is something I would recommend as an introduction to different myths, rather than a definitive edition of any of the mythologies it tries to cover. It covers a lot, and therefor only gives a summary of the stories it presents, rather than tell the stories.
Something I am genuinely happy about is that Scott Lewis took the time to tell the reader about some inaccuracies in the stories that were being retold, as other cultures had invaded their cultures and tried to make the stories their own by changing them.
