Her Favorite Maverick by Christine Rimmer is a 2019 Harlequin Special Edition publication.

As the story opens, Liv and Caroline- wedding planners in Rust Creek Falls, Montana- are experiencing a few financial woes. They’ve asked their friend and accountant, Sarah Turner, to have a look at their books.

Just as Sarah is about to deliver the bad news about the state of the ladies’ bank account, Max Crawford all but barges in, announcing he wants Viv and Caroline to find brides for his six sons- and he’s willing to pay them a million dollars for their trouble. While the ladies are flabbergasted by Max’s proposal, their reaction is mild compared to Logan Crawford’s when he overhears his father’s plans.

But, then Logan locks eyes with Sarah, and an instant spark passes between them. However, Sarah is sure that Logan’s interest will cool off immediately once he learns she is a single mom. But, after only a moment of hesitation to digest that bit of news, he never slows down his pursuit.

Sarah is finally making peace with the way her life turned out. Her big city plans fell through, and after two failed relationships, she returned to her hometown, to raise her daughter- alone. She’s sworn off men and dating, probably for good, thank you very much. But the edges of her hard -earned stability are beginning to fray.

Her quiet and stoic parents are acting like hormonal teenagers, and Logan, who has a history of short-term relationships, is determined to worm his way into her heart, breaking down all her defenses. To further complicate matters, Max, who should be over the moon about Logan’s attraction to Sarah, is trying to interfere in the budding romance, but not in a good way.
Can Logan convince Sarah to take a chance on love or will her fears overrule her heart?

This is the first book is a six -part arc in the Montana Mavericks series. I love the ‘six brides for six brothers’ theme, too! This first installment has set the stage for what promises to be a fabulous mini-series.

The main theme in this story is one of trust and overcoming one’s fears. If Logan wasn’t already a super sexy cowboy, his interactions with Sarah’s daughter make him doubly so. His character growth is almost organic. His heart and mind sync up at the same time. He knew Sarah was ‘the one’ because the prospect of spending his life with her makes him feel happy, not scared, like it would have earlier in his life.

Our Sarah, on the other hand, needs to do a little work on herself, first. Although, Logan wasn’t afraid, Sarah had enough fear in her heart for the both of them. Sarah’s ‘ A lonely heart is better than a broken heart’ attitude may cause her to miss out on the great love of her life. But she will have to find the inner strength to fight her fears so she can finally have her much deserved HEA!! Can she do it? Will she do it?

Rounding out the emotional depth in the story is the relationship between Sarah and her parents. The situation explains a lot about why Sarah is the way she is. It’s a sad story, but one with a happy ending.

However…

What is Max’s problem anyway?

If you love contemporary romance featuring complex relationships, cute kitties, adorable kids, and hot cowboys, you will want to get in on the ground floor of this serial subset. If this first installment is any indication, it’s going to be a good one!!

Fantastic story that sucked me in from the first page and kept me enthralled to the very end. Sarah is an accountant and a single mother. As the story opens, she's working with the local wedding planners on trying to find a way they can come up with the money they need. She's there when newcomer Max Crawford arrives with a business proposition for them. He'll pay them a million dollars if the wedding planners can find brides for his six sons. Sarah is appalled, as is his oldest son, Logan when he arrives in time to overhear his father's plans. Well aware of Max's tendency to manipulate, Logan is far more interested in Sarah than his father's latest plot.

I loved the first meeting between Logan and Sarah. The attraction between them is immediate. Logan is all in with getting to know her and seeing what kind of fun they can have together. He's a bit taken aback when he finds out she has an infant daughter, but that doesn't hold him back. Sarah, on the other hand, plans to ignore the attraction. She's been burned twice and has no intention of trusting a man ever again. It was fun to see Logan working so hard to get past her initial objections. When he hires Sarah to set up the books for the family ranch, she tries to keep things on a business-only basis, but Logan is a force to be reckoned with. I loved watching him pop into the office regularly to check on her, never really pushing but just being there. It wasn't long before he broke through part of her defenses by letting her know he isn't looking for anything permanent. That matches her own feelings, so they start spending time together.

I loved seeing Logan go from fun-and-games only to thinking long term. He's carrying some baggage from his mother's desertion of the family when he was a kid, so belief in happy-ever-after hasn't been there. But the more time he spends with Sarah and little Sophia, the more his thinking changes. I loved the way he reacted to Sarah's past, wanting to do things that showed her how special she was. He was a master at doing things to make her life easier, even though he often had to work to get her to accept that help. I loved how Sophia had him wrapped around her little fingers. The scene with the two of them the night that Sarah fell asleep was beautiful. As time goes on the attraction between Logan and Sarah continues to burn hot, and they spend as much time together as they can. I loved seeing Sarah let Logan into her and Sophia's lives and how happy they are. Sarah feels herself getting in deeper, but won't let herself believe that it could last. I cried for both of them when she allowed her fears to push Logan away. The depth of his heartbreak made my heart hurt for him. I hurt for Sarah too, but I also wanted to shake her for not believing in Logan or herself. It took an eye-opening conversation with her mom to break down the last of her walls, but it was a conversation with an unexpected visitor that gave her the push she needed. I loved her big moment at the end. The epilogue was great. I especially loved its location.

The secondary characters were great. First among them was Max, father of six boys and master manipulator. There is some mystery to why he is so determined to marry them off after years of discouraging any thoughts of settling down. I had some trouble liking him because of his attitude toward Sarah. I loved seeing Logan push back and stand his ground against Max's interference. It will be interesting to see his actions over the rest of the books. Sarah's parents were interesting with their extreme difference from the way they were when she was growing up. That influence on the young Sarah affected who she became and she didn't know how to deal with the changes. I liked the growth of the relationship between Sarah and her mom. I'm intrigued by Sarah's best friend, Lily. I loved how she was always there for Sarah and helped push her along into getting to know Logan. She also seems to have some self-esteem issues. I would love to see her end up with one of Logan's brothers.

I would give this 10 stars if possible. Christine Rimmer knows how to write captivating stories. Once I Started, it was hard to put down. Sarah and Logan are wonderful characters. The story line is very interesting from start to finish. Max made it a little difficult, but they worked around him. Loved Sophia and the addition of Opal and Petunia. I am looking forward to next installment of series.

I really enjoyed this newest addition to the Montana Maverick Series. This is the first of a new six book continuum of the Montana Mavericks and Christine Rimmer is absolutely the best author to kick off this enchanting series.

The series takes place in Rust Creek Falls, Montana where Viviene Shuster Dalton and her business partner Caroline Ruth Clifton are Wedding Planners. They have employed the services of Accountant Sarah Turner who has just moved back home to Rust Creek Falls with her baby daughter Sophia. Sarah is a hard working CPA and a single mom who after a series of relationship disappointments has become wary of men and the whole relationship process, she wants to stay focused on her baby and her job.

One morning while all three ladies are at the shop, in walks a silver haired gentleman inquiring about the services of the wedding planners. Max who is very wealthy and has recently moved to the area after having purchased a ranch in Rust Creek along with his six adult sons. He thinks it's time they should be settling down. Max has a proposition for the ladies who according to Sarah, are on the brink of having financial problems, he offers the wedding planners a hefty fee if they can find potential brides for his six sons. Viv tries to explain that they are wedding planners not match makers but Max is very persuasive and offers them one million dollars if they can introduce his sons to potential brides. Meanwhile two of his sons who have been waiting in the truck while he conducts his business with the ladies walk in. Logan, and Xander who are Max's first born and his third born sons know that he's up to something and they are so correct.

Max introduces his two sons to the ladies and Logan is immediately drawn to Sarah and it seems the feeling is mutual although Sarah is not happy about her instant attraction to the handsome Logan. Max seems to think that Sarah would be a very good fit for his oldest son until there is a cry from a baby in the back office and the baby turns out to be Sarah's. A baby in the mind of Max, makes Sarah not as good a match as he's first estimated because he foresees too many problems when there is a single mom involved. Logan and Xander are surprised but not totally shocked by what their father has been up to. Max has seemed to have had unconventional ideas before.

Sarah having been made uncomfortable with the situation decides to pack up her daughter and leave. Logan is so smitten with Sarah that he offers to help her to her car at which time he asks her out. Sarah is not only surprised by her attraction to Logan but she is trying very hard to ignore it. Logan is not ready to get married but decides that it would be nice to get to know Sarah anyway. Sarah explains that she is not interested in any kind of relationship because she is focused on her job and child and refuses his advances. Logan is persuasive and she finally gives him a chance to get to know one another.

Love has a way of sneaking up on you when you least expect it and both Sarah and Logan are on a complicated journey to forever after. You'll enjoy taking this journey with them and finding out just how learning to trust in yourself as well as the proven actions of others are what love is all about.

Christine Rimmer does it again. I loved her book "Her Favorite Maverick" which is the first book in a series of six called "Montana Mavericks: Six Brides for Six Brothers." Max Crawford is trying to find brides for his six sons. This is Logan Crawford and Sarah Turner's story. He was the kind of guy who didn't think he'd ever settle down. She was the woman who was burned twice in love, and the last time was with a man who left her with a beautiful baby girl. Max isn't much help. He keeps warning Logan to stay away from Sarah, and every time she is near he glares at her. With quite a bit of giving on both sides, Logan and Sarah seem to make it work, but Sarah is far from admitting to a happily ever after.

I love s story where a man steps up to take care and love a child that isn't biologically his but treats them as if they were. Not alot of men would do it.
It is a book of love, fear, hope, and it goes straight to the heart.

What the book taught me was it okay to be scared but sometime you have to be brave and fight for the mate you love or you might miss out on the chance at something great.

Sarah has been let down her whole life! Parent's, boyfriend and a weekend fling. She doesn't know how to trust anyone with her heart. Upon returning home she discover's her parent's have figured out how to be happy and they support her and her infant daughter which she isn't used to. She meets an engaging cowboy and his meddling dad, add a cute kitten to the mix and you have a recipe to fix what she thought couldn't be fixed. This is a wonderful story of learning to love and trust not only yourself but other's as well. I loved this story and I know you will too!

The Crawford men have come to Rust Creek Falls., Montana. Logan Crawford is the oldest of six brothers and has always been a short term relationships kind of guy. Sarah Turner's life didn't turn out as she planned, so she's sworn off men for a few years if not forever. A meddling father and a attraction so strong it's hard to resist, combine to give Sarah Her Favorite Maverick.

Sarah Turner always knew what she wanted, but when her life in Chicago didn't turn out as she planned. A return to her home town of Rust Creek Falls is her option. She comes home to parents who are totally different from when she left. Sarah along with her 5 month old daughter Sophia are kept busy picking up the slack at the family's accounting businesses because of the change in her parents. At the local wedding planning business she's delivering bad news when a stranger comes into the business and makes the owners an offer that they can't refuse. A million dollars to find his six sons women to marry. It leads to two of the sons coming into to over hear his proposition. The oldest son Logan Crawford takes one look at Sarah and is immediately stricken with desire for a fling. Sarah wants nothing of Logan and wants to ignore the attraction she feels. When Sophia makes her presents known it stops the father in his matchmaking efforts but it doesn't put off Logan. He gets her to go out on a date with him only to have her break off any further contact. Logan goes along with his father's matchmaking efforts only to know unless its Sarah he's not interested. Meanwhile, Sarah can't fight the feelings and makes a decision to ask Logan to have a relationship as long as it'll last. As their chemistry heats up and they get to know each other, their feelings start leaning toward forever. Logan is absolutely ready for marriage and children but takes it slow because of Sarah's trust issues. A meeting with her parents throws Sarah for a loop. A talk with her mom reveals things about the past she didn't know. Logan's respect and consideration of Sarah has her loving their relationship, but when he springs a surprise proposal on her she freaks out and says no. Days go by with both of them and Sophia all being completely miserable. A talk with Logan's father and an apology from him has her going to the Crawford ranch to find Logan the next day. Logan who had been out working on the ranch to try to figure out what to do next and how to get Sarah back, but not wanting to wait for her to come to him the next day he shows up at her house. She accepts the former proposal and a wedding is in the near future.

Christine Rimmer starts off the new miniseries Six Brides for Six Brothers in the long running series of the Montana Mavericks with Her Favorite Maverick. The first story of the meddling father trying to marry off his sons. The Crawford men have recently bought a ranch in Rust Creek Falls, Montana where loves and marriage is part of the landscape. An emotionally, sexy, story of true love and how the past may keep you from it. That even though your original plans don't turn out they way you planned maybe they will when the right one comes along. I've been collecting the Montana Mavericks series and miniseries for years and with the addition of this recent story of Christine Rimmer's in the series will keep me coming back for the rest of the Six Brides for Six Brothers series and all the miniseries to come.

Another enjoyable read from Christine Rimmer – and another book for the Keeper Shelf!
In “Her Favorite Maverick,” the story begins with Sarah, an accountant, trying to politely break the news to her clients, who are wedding planners, that there is no money for the project they want to do for their business. Sarah had come back home to Montana to work for her dad’s accounting business and to raise her daughter. In comes Logan’s dad, Max, who has a proposition for them. Max had just moved from Texas to Montana, bringing his sons with him. If the wedding planners find brides for all six of his sons, he will give them $1 million. (I know there are six brothers instead of seven, but I kept hearing the songs from the 1950s movie “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” in my head while I was reading this book.)
The oldest brother, Logan Crawford, is with his dad and overhears the plot. Naturally he shares their father’s latest manipulation with his brothers (I can’t wait to read their stories!). There is instant attraction between Logan and Sarah. Not even the fact that Sarah has an infant daughter puts Logan off. Sarah has struck out twice with men and doesn’t want to get serious with Logan or anyone. Although she is very busy with helping her parents in their accounting business, Sarah agrees to take on Logan’s family business accounts. Max is, surprisingly, not happy with Logan seeing Sarah.
Logan is persistent and, in the end, gets what he wants – time with Sarah. Sarah? Well, I wanted to smack her more than once, but she comes around. The baby? I loved Logan’s interactions with the baby.
A funny side story in this book is Sarah’s parents. All her life they were distant and clearly not happy. Now? Let’s just say they seem to be making up for lost time.
This was a very enjoyable book and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!

The 1st story in the series six brides for six brothers of the Montana Mavericks. Sarah turner is a single mother of a very young Sophie and has moved back home to work for her parents accounting business while raising her daughter on her own. While doing the books for a local wedding planning business, she meets Logan Crawford and they are immediately attracted. Logan’s father has put up a 1 million dollar offer to the wedding planners to find his 6 sons all wives. Logan and Sarah fight the attraction, Sarah more so due to being unlucky in past and Logan just wants the casual with no talk of marriage, settling down and even jokes about his dad trying to marry him and his brothers off. The more Logan and Sarah are around each other and the more Sophie is around Logan, the more they cannot seem to stay away from one another. This story line introduces the characters like Sarah’s parents and their sudden behavioral changes in their marriage and sneaks in the reasons for the changes just when you least expect to finally know why. This story keeps you completely connected throughout. Logan’s father Max wants to get his sons married off but in this 1st story, he is against his son getting involved with a single Mom and has very strong feelings about a baby in the mix. Will Logan change his attitude towards forever? Will Sarah finally let her walls down and let Logan completely in? A must read to see how this ends. Very well written once again by this Author. Cannot wait to see what’s next for the Crawford Boys for sure.

Her Favorite Maverick is the first book in a new series which is six wives for six sons in Rust Creek Montana. I love all of Christine Rimmer books and how her series are in small town and includes big tight knit families. Max Crawford is new to Rust Creek and his first priority is to go to wedding planners and offers them a million dollars to find six wives for his six sons. Sarah Turner is their accountant and meets his son Logan Crawford. Their attraction is HOT and instant with just a hand shake and HOT glances. Sophia who is Sarah’s daughter starts crying and that breaks the lust induces haze for Sarah. She wants nothing else to do with men or relationships and Sophia and work keep her busy and she has a hard time having time to hang out with her best friend. Sophia shocks Logan for a second but he is to intrigued by Sarah for it to bother him. Max tries the tell him a single mother is not the right choice for him. He finally convinces Sarah to do the books for the ranch and she wants it to be business only. He wears her down with his looks, personality and how good he is with Sophia. They decide they will be together as long as it lasts because neither one of them wants or believes in forever. What happens if one of them wants more and will they be able to forget about the past and focus on possibilities for the future. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I received an ARC and volunteered to write a honest review.

A sweet and satisfying story

Christine Rimmer has done it again! Another great story and another family to snag your heartstrings.
In “Her Favorite Maverick,” the story begins with Sarah, an accountant, breaking the bad news of financial doom to the town wedding planners. Sarah come back home to Montana to work for her father’s accounting business and to raise her baby daughter. In the nick of time, Logan’s dad, Max, walks in the door with a proposition for them and offers to save the day. Max had just moved from Texas to Montana, his six sons in tow. Max offers the wedding planners a miracle. If they find brides for all six of his sons, he will give them $1 million.

The oldest brother, Logan Crawford, follows Max inside of the wedding planners shop. The instant attraction between Logan and Sarah had me thinking of Jerry Maguire and you had me at hello. Logan doesn’t let the fact that Sarah has an infant daughter phase him. Sarah hasn’t had the best luck with men and doesn’t want to get serious with Logan or anyone. Logan wants to give her a little fun and romance. Sarah agrees to take on Logan’s family business accounts. Max is not happy with Logan seeing Sarah for whatever reason.

Logan is persistent and eventually gets time and a future with Sarah and the baby. I loved his interactions with the baby too. Sarah needs to be smacked a few times.

This was a very sweet and lovely book and I can’t wait for the next brother’s story in this series!

A new Montana Maverick Rust Creek Falls series, Six Brides for Six Brothers, and it starts with an awesome book! Max Crawford has moved his family from Texas to Montana to get closer to family, but he has decided they all need wives and has offered wedding planner Viv Dalton one million dollars to find each of his six sons a wife! That is where our lovely accountant Sarah meets one of the sons, Logan when he overheard his dad's plans. It is instant attraction between the two of them. But Sarah is a single mom of a five month old baby girl and has sworn off relationships and Logan isn't looking for anything long term either, but the attraction is just so strong. Logan hired Sarah as the family's accountant to get closer to her, and he is awesome with Sophia. After fighting their feelings only so long, they give in and just go with the flow, neither at first looking for anything long term. But as days go by, Logan is the one who wants something permanent, Sarah, having been hurt badly before turns his proposal down. Will she come to her senses before it's too late? I loved watching these two strong individuals grow together, he wanting to help her anyway he can knowing how she had been hurt before and never wanting her to be hurt again, and his love for her baby girl will melt your heart.

Logan Crawford. Rancher, handsome, single, and wants to keep it that way.

Sarah Turner. Accountant, mom, single, and wants to keep it that way.

Both have had bad luck in the romance department and are not looking for a forever love. They seem to have some off the charts chemistry though, and Logan decides to give the spark a little fuel. Changes in family dynamics can make or break this tenuous relationship. Will Sarah get the parental support she needs? Will Logan listen to his father, or think for himself. What about sweet Sophia? She deserves the best.

Such a wonderful story. Men can be dads whether they're biologically related to the child or not. Women can find love even after having a bad relationship or two. Nothing is impossible if you work together to find love, and if you can keep your parents out of it!!

Once again I'm entranced by the Montana Maverick's world! I can't wait to see what else is in the offing for this new group of sexy Crawford cowboys! I also want to see Max get his...romance and comeuppance!

Her Favorite Maverick" by Christine Rimmer is a story about a father named Max Crawford who wants to marry off his six sons. He enlist the aid of two wedding planner to find his sons the perfect women for them and would pay them one million dollars. Two of his sons are waiting in the truck for him and one of them decides to see what was keeping him.
Logan walks in and sets his sights on Sarah. He is instantly attracted to her. Sarah is a single mom and is not interested in getting involved with any man especially the handsome cowboy in front of her. Logan wants to go out with her and asks her out and she turns him down. So he gets her to work on the books for the ranch.. Sarah is an accountant by the way. One thing leads to another and they start see one another. Can a confirmed bachelor and a gun-shy single mom find happy ever after. Read "Her Favorite Maverick" to find out!!!! Christine Rimmer never disappoints.

I just loved Her Favorite Maverick by Christine Rimmer!!! Logan Crawford has just moved to Rust Creek Falls to start a ranch with his father and five brothers. Sarah Turner has returned to her small home town to raise her adorable baby and work at her parents' accounting firm. Both Logan and Sarah have a history of being unlucky in love but when they meet the sparks fly!
I love sexy, irresistible, cowboy Logan! He is a risk taker and is more then ready to pursue a romance with Sarah. Coming home with a new baby from her last disastrous romance, Sarah must decided if she is willing to risk it all for the love of her life.
I cannot recommend Her Favorite Maverick by Christine Rimmer enough!!! Rimmer is wonderful writer with complex characters you can easily relate to and heartwarming, spicy romance you can't put down! I only wish Christine Rimmer was writing the enter 6 Brides for 6 Cowboys series!!!

Great start to a new Montana Mavericks mini series in Rust Creek Falls! Christine never disappoints with the strong heroines that she creates. Sarah and Logan both know what they want and it's not getting married. The chemistry really pops when they meet and they have difficulty resisting that attraction! Sarah is a signal mom who has been disappointed in love more than once. She wants to provide for her baby daughter and make a life for herself. Logan is marriage resistant also and fights his attraction to Sarah. She and her baby daughter are hard to resist. Loved the way the story plays out as their relationship develops. No spoilers here. Lots of interesting family dynamics with her parents and Logan's dad and brothers. Stay tuned for the other 5 brothers' stories.

What’s a young single mother to do when a tall, handsome cowboy walks into your life, try not to fall in love that’s what. Sarah has her hands full being a single mom she doesn’t have time for love, Logan is a cool drink of water in a cowboy hat. He is instantly attracted to Sarah and her baby girl. Can these two get past their fears of commitment and love to make this relationship work and be a family? Sorry, no spoilers here you will have to read to find out. Another great read. One down, five brothers to go.

Her Favorite Maverick by Christine Rimmer
Sarah Turner and Logan Crawford are the main characters.
Sarah has a daughter and is not looking for love, Logan sees her and falls in love. Sarah fights the relationship all the way. Logan keeps coming up with ways to spend more time with Sarah so that she can see that he is really interested in more than just a fling. I really enjoyed this book. and recommend to anyone looking for a good book to read.

3 stars. Good story but the self sabotaging heroine, Sarah, drove me up the freakin’ wall. Like, I get why she was the way she was but she was absolutely annoying. Logan was persistent though which I loved but it got to a point where I didn’t understand why he kept trying with her. Her daughter was adorable though. I liked the writing, I loved Logan (he carries this story for me), and I’m interested in reading about his brothers. This was a quick read but I wanted more from the romance.

Been burned In the past Sarah doesn't know what to do or were to turn when her dream guy comes into her life. Does she protect her heart and her daughter's or does she takes it all and runs with it.

Logan takes one look at the bean counter (as he calls her) and he is taken... But will she give him a chance.

Christine Rimmer does it again. I could not put this book down until I finished it. Max is going to be a great character, trying to fix up all of his sons. The instant chemistry with Logan was great. I really enjoyed the story line and the way Sarah's life had changed so much. You just have to reach out for that happiness when it comes around. Thank you again, Christine for a great read!!

Her Favorite Maverick is the perfect beach read that I couldn’t put down. My heart goes out to Logan and how he accepted Sarah’s daughter as his own. It takes a special man to love another’s child and Logan is that man. I enjoyed watching these two characters fall in love and learn to trust one another. This is a fantastic read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
