The Unbreakable Series: Box Set has two books, Beneath Deception and Beneath Submission. The books center around Xavier and Tessa. He becomes her knight in shining armor and she becomes the woman he cannot live without. Their feelings for one another can't be denied, which leads to some very steamy moments.
In Beneath Deception, Xavier saves Tessa from a cruel man and a horrible life. As they fall hard for one another, his past comes back to haunt him. Filled with action, suspense, and steamy romance, Beneath Deception has an engaging storyline that leads right into the next book with a bit of a cliffhanger that made me curse out loud.
Beneath Submission takes us into the sordid world of sex slaves and human trafficking in which Tessa was raised. Once Xavier saves her from Colin Gates she has a chance at happiness, freedom, and love. Unfortunately, her life would not turn around that easily. Giving the readers a glimpse into an aspect of society that most think only exists in the news. Beneath Submission is a story about a woman finding the strength to survive her circumstances and her past, and in the process she helps another do so as well. The story is wrought with suspense, a couple of surprising twists, and with Xavier and Tessa in a room, lots of steamy passion. What is awesome is that they do find their happily ever after.

I really wanted to like this duet and was looking forward to a tasty treat. Guess it just wasn't meant to be as I couldn't connect with the main couple throughout the story.
Not really a fan of selfish London at the start of this romance. His flippant arrogant way with Ginger was a testament to his character while he judged Colin's treatment of Tessa with the same brush.
His immediate attraction to Tessa was odd, and her plea for rescue was interesting as she really knew nothing about him after their initial and brief meeting at the club. Full of twists and turns as the first book was told in London's POV along with his secret identity that he denied throughout the first book.
Tessa was pretty much the victim and there really wasn't much to her. I like my heroines a bit smarter, stronger, and feistier, and she showed none of those characteristics to draw me to her.
The second book started with her POV, and I was looking forward to knowing her better. The first half recounted book one with Tessa's POV. By the time the storyline caught up with the cliffy from book one, I was kind of bored. I have to be honest to say that this storyline had a lot of twists and turns to keep it interesting, I just couldn't connect with the main characters.

A good boxset
This man has a past, so much so that to everyone he loved his brother now believes he is dead. He had to disappear and this was the best way to do it . Xavier London was now a owner of a club and hit man for Colin Gates. He had been at a meeting with Colin to get some paper work of his next case when he sees a girl in the back of Colin's car. And she looked terrified so much so Xavier wanted to save her. But first he must find out who she was and he only knew one man who would know and that was Kyle. When he goes to his club to meet up with Kyle as Xavier wasn't sure that his place wasn't bugged. He didnt trust Colin 100%
He was told to leave the girl alone. Colin owned her!!!
But that night she rang him begging him to get her she had ran from Colin. She had a swollen eye but Tessa wasn't about to open up to Xavier. But before he knew it she had rang Colin stating if she didnt go back he would find her anyway. Colin was not impressed with Xavier and told him to get on with the job he had been given.

Totally Enjoyable Read
Unbreakable is ONLY for those who enjoy not only the anticipation of a Alpha and his kink. But enjoy being dominated, and taken care of in the bedroom, and most of all lavished and cherished with love.
This is a must have set.
This actually the first time I have ever read and enjoyed reading anything from this author. And it’s DEFINITELY not going to be the last.
ONLY THE SEXY NEED TO READ THIS BOX SET.

Despite the darkness of story I was enthralled!

This was a difficult book for me to read, the darkness that surrounded Tessa was was overpowering and I hope that no woman would have to experience the life that she did in real life. I am glad that this was a book of fiction and hope that if such depravity exists that the people responsible are punished. I found it interesting to read the story from his and then her perspective and thought it was very well done. Tessa had an innocence about her despite the life she had and Xavier was a man who cared very little about people until he met Tessa. Despite the darkness of story I was enthralled and had to continue reading until the end.

Loved the books they were great, the stories were well written and the characters were interesting. This series of two books were great, the stories were unique on there own they were told by the two main characters Tessa and Xavier. Once I started reading the books I could not stop, it was fast paced. Xavier was ruthless, not caring about others including betraying the one man that saved his life. Tessa was groomed for one man, when she starts to find out some truths things change. She was taught discipline and submission and was sold to a ruthless man. There were so many twists and turns and adrenaline rush and excitement, heartache, sorrow, lust, infatuation and maybe love.

The Unbreakable Series Boxed Set by A.L. Long contains two books entitled Beneath Deception and BeneathSubmission which are both phenomenal romantic suspense reads. Beneath Deception begins the story of Xavier London, who hides his secretive past, and Tessa Sands, who is saved by Xavier from the man who she was raised to be with and satisfy. BeneathSubmission is the continuation of their story which focuses on Tessa’s discovery of the truth about Xavier. When Colin Gates appears into their saga, Tessa ends up being sold to another ruthless man. Can Xavier save her? I highly recommend this well written and phenomenal romantic suspense boxed set.!

To be honest it took me a while to get into the story, it was all a bit long. I liked the main characters and their chemistry (although I think they became too much, too fast). Beneath Deception is the first book of the story and follows Xavier. This story is filled with secrets, pain, danger, doubts with a strong, horrible villain.
Beneath Submission is the second book in this series. Although I never really got into the story I still wanted to know how it would end. The first book was from Xavier’s point of view, this one is from Tessa (I kind of missed Xavier who was absent from most of this book).

Two books told from different perspectives. The first part is seen from Xavier London. A hit man club owner with a secret past. A new request has everything spinning out of control. The second book is from Tessa Sands view. Her story begins when she meets Xavier and how her past refuses to let her go.
I absolutely loved it. It had suspense, romance (some very steamy sex) and hope. The struggles that the characters go through had me rooting for a happy ending. Page turning storyline.

Everyone has secrets...but some will get you in serious trouble. Xavier London is definitely a man with secrets - but what is he willing to risk to help Tessa Sands, a woman who clearly is in a bad situation, with secrets of her own? Their chemistry is electric, and you find yourself rooting for them to succeed - and succeed together - as you follow the twists and turns of the plot. Loved the whole series (I was glad I read it as a series and not separate books!) and wanted more!

I loved this from start to finish, Tessa who thought she had found her everything, and then discovering that everything was not real, was her whole life so full of betrayal, secrets and pain. Xavier knew she was the one, but could he make her his forever or had he really left it to late she belonged to another. It made me curse and scream this grabs you and shakes you, but you wont stop reading it fabulous.

This is Xavier and Tessa's story. These two characters have a story that unfolds to reveal all sorts of goodies along the way and leaves you wondering if there is a HEA in store for them or not. Lots of twists and turns and secrets ready to be unleashed as the characters find themselves attracted to one another and trying to figure out if theirs is one of true love or not. I enjoyed reading this story and going through the motions of Xavier and Tessa in hopes of a HEA ending. Enjoy!

I've read several books written by A.L. Long; she has done an excellent job at writing a good set of books; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is two novels in one box set and features the relationship between Tessa and Xavier. There are a lot of twists and turns in this story and some possible triggers for some readers due to the dark content. I thought both books were well written and loved the interaction between the main characters. This is a lovely delightfully dark box set.

GREAT READ!
A great set of reads that kept me intrigued throughout the unique storyline that at times quickly had me tearing up the pages but at others was slower paced but did not deter in my decision as to how well I enjoyed this series and would gladly recommend it as a great read. It's edgy intense with some eye popping shock factors hot twisted and unique.

The “Unbreakable” Series is a wonderful set of original tales that will keep you up and reading long past bedtime. These tales are intriguing, action-packed with twists and just enough romance to keep you on the edge of your seat to the last page.

This is the story of Tessa and Xavier. These two books present the POV from Xavier in the first book and Tessa in the second. This box set is so original and unlike any other story out there. You can’t help but be sucked in! I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t stop reading. A few areas in the second book seemed to drag out to much, but overall a great read!

I'm completely disappointed in this book. It was very disjointed. Like part of the story was missing. I couldn't even get past page 30 before I gave up. Maybe it got better, but I just didn't find anything in the storyline to make me want to read more.

The Unbreakable Series includes two books. This first book is Xavier's POV and the second is Tessa's POV. This is a dark, steamy story with twists that kept me interesting in the story. I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

This was a great boxset to read with characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry throughout the pages. The storylines are well written and flow smoothly from page to page.
