CiCi, Boon's best friend and former high school sweetheart, tries to be there for him throughout his trials and tribulations, but she isn't quite over him herself. She remains in his corner as he hops from woman to woman, relationship to relationship, getting his heart broken. Gorgeous and intelligent, Amerie is also a lawyer from Chitown; Boon meets her and soon, the sparks fly. Boon falls head over heels and he soon begins to wonder if she is the one. However, the ultimate betrayal soon sends one of the lovebirds into a downward spiral. Pleasure in paradise turns into the highway to hell, emotions run rampant, and a distraught lover looks for reconciliation—however it can be acquired. Who said it was better to have loved and lost? After this tale of lost loves, infidelity, and the malevolence it brings about, they'll be forcefully inclined to rephrase that statement.

A non-inclusive list of antonyms for Gifted is: clumsy, amateurish, stupid. awkward, fatuous, inane, absurd, idiotic. inept, etc., etc. Each one of these words is an accurate descriptor of the author, G.I.F.T. D’s inability to craft an intelligent, enjoyable and thoughtful novel. Instead, we are left with a plot where we are supposed to believe that the main character, a license attorney practicing in criminal law who constantly speaks in ghetto trash language, does not have the proper judgement to discern when he is being used and abused by a never-ending parade of women until he one day when he awakens and seeks revenge via a cross county murder spree. Sure, that seems credible – NOT!.

If find this plot believable and are taken with this storyline, it can only be because you are a fashion freak, mesmerized by the constant references to the variety of named high fashion apparel and accessories. I, instead, believe it is the author’s inept effort to convince the reader that the main character and his entourage are “upper-class” vs. ghetto trash. For me, it didn’t work and, at times, literally was laughable.

Lastly, as I listened to this book via recording, the reader makes it even worse through his constant mispronunciations and mis inflections of the simplest of word.

Bottom Line: 1) G.I.F.T. D needs to change his/her name.
2) Avoid reading, and especially listening, to this novel. It will only make you angry you wasted your time!

All The Wrong Places the debut novel by author G.I.F.T.D and I must say I was impressed. This story was addictive - going to the bathroom at work just so you can read addicting. The story held my attention from beginning to the end. I loved the way the author was able to make the storyline thrilling, humorous, and tragic all at the same time. The characters were well developed and the storyline was different than what I expected. The lead character Daniel 'Boon' Watson seem to never catch a break when it came to women and he seem to make some dumb choices however the way it played out by the end of the story was pure genius. There was never a dull moment in this story and the author kept you on your toes with all the twist and turns that happened throughout the story. The book was well written and if I had to categorize it I would call it a suspenseful romance. I definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I had this book on my list, and thankfully happened to see it on display at the library, so I was able to give it a try. This was a well written story for someone who's a new author, and I was surprised, especially by the time I got to the end. Great job

This was a good read. I felt bad for Boon, he was truly a sweet guy who just couldn't catch a break.
