Undercover Twin starts off with a bang when Audrey Clark, on her way to a symposium on the campus of Stanford, walks into the middle of a gunfight and comes face to face with a person of her mirror image. What a shock! She was adopted and so it is possible and even apparent that she had a twin. Kendra, her twin, is an undercover Special Agent with the FBI on a mission to expose a crime ring network with Special Agent Lee Benson, who is her "husband" for the mission. When Kendra is shot and in the hospital, it seemed logical that Audrey step in and help Lee bring down the network. While Audrey is definitely not special agent material, her doctorate in electrical engineering and science background come in handy in the coming days of danger. As part of the operation, Lee and Audrey travel to a heavily guarded resort as invited guests interested in becoming clients of the network. They are constantly on guard as it becomes apparent that someone is trying to kill them, maybe just Audrey. Could it be the network has discovered who they are or is it someone else? The danger and action continues to the end. This is a fast paced suspense with great characters, an interesting and entertaining plot along with a sprinkle of romance and faith.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

A breath holding, suspenseful, intriguing drama
that takes off quickly and keeps an invigorating
pace right until the finale!!!
Audrey Clark has a doctorate in electronic
engineering and works in a laboratory. She is
attending a symposium on the campus of Stanford.
She is late for registration and is hurrying across
campus when she finds herself in the middle of
a gun battle. Audrey will discover that one of the
shooters looks exactly like her.
She will discover that she has a twin sister named
Kendra who is an undercover Special Agent with
the FBI. Her sister and Special Agent Lee Benson
are on assignment.
Audrey was a case of mistaken identity but when
her twin sister is injured Audrey will need to pose
as Kendra.
Intrigue finds itself heightened to mountainous
proportions along with drama and tension that
is very thick.
Plenty of twists, turns, thrills and chills.
As Audrey and Lee work together, they discover
an undeniable chemistry between them. Will
they be able to act on this chemistry after the
covert mission is accomplished? Will they both
survive the mission?
The story is well written with such vivid description
the reader will share in all the experiences of the
characters.
I volunteered to read Undercover Twin. Thanks to
the author for the opportunity. My opinion is
voluntary and my own.
A Highly Recommended Read!!
I enjoyed this book so much I have already
purchased the next book....Covert Christmas Twin.

Undercover Twin had a very unique storyline...twins that didn't know they were twins stumble into each other during a covert operation and when the one who is an FBI agent ends up in critical condition from a gunshot, the other twin ends up taking her sister's undercover position as fake wife to her FBI partner in order to protect her sister....kind of bizarre and I've never read a story like it.

I enjoyed the romance. It was interesting how the romance bloomed from playing fake husband and wife.

All in all, even though things sometimes weren't 100% believable, I did like Undercover Twin overall. I don't know if I'll continue the series, but I'm glad I read this one.

What a roller coaster suspense ride! Exhaling a deep whoosh of relief now that everything's settled.to my exacting satisfaction. :-) I was discombobulated right from the start -- feeling just as overwhelmed as Audrey when she suddenly finds herself in the middle of a high stakes undercover operation. Love the way the author hurled me into this emotional madcap ride! And I love that, while Audrey is definitely out of her element, she has some tricks up her sleeve and a very clever approach to problem solving -- very MacGyverish at times. Much to Lee's surprise and pleasure. These two develop into a great team and while the action is all fast and furious, I enjoyed the romance angle as well. A definite edge-of-your-seater with some unique plot twists.

I liked the idea of finding out you were a twin separated at birth, and discovering your twin was an FBI agent. However, even though the characters had personalities and backgrounds, I didn't feel like they had depth, and the story, which seemed like a mild Mission Impossible movie, wasn't quite a believable story for me. I'm not saying it was a bad story, just not quite on par with other LI Suspense books I have read.

This is the first book in the Twins Separated at Birth series by Heather Woodhaven in the Love Inspired Suspense line of Harlequin Books.

I am a sucker for a covert suspense story featuring twins. I am not sure why. They are just so appealing to me. Now, if the twin had amnesia too, that would be the ultimate guilty pleasure read IMHO.

Basic synopsis: Woman attends a conference and there she is mistaken for the twin she never knew about who also just happens to be a covert agent working under cover and using her name and photo as her alias. The man slips her intel moments before he is killed by adversaries coming after him.

The farther they pulled Audrey into the covert mission with Lee the more convoluted it became. I almost feel like it jumped the shark a bit with all the different obstacles they had to overcome: boobie trapped yurts and hot air balloon rides to safety.

Overall it was a very good story. I felt like the praying and speaking to God section should have appeared much earlier in the test to show that Audrey was already struggling in her walk with God and how this circumstance was challenging her. I did like how she convinced Lee to start praying as well. I am not sure how you run around being a covert agent without a little God in your life just to know he does have your back in your struggles.

The second book in this series came out in October 2019 and features the other twin, Kendra. I definitely want to pick that one up next. Love this line of Harlequin books. Suspense is my ultimate fave genre in the Love Inspired line.

If you love a good romantic suspense, definitely check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.

I really tried but I think I am going to take a break from these christian theme books as they are not for me. This is a clean romance and somewhat boring as I just couldn't get into it at all...

"Undercover Twin" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. Audrey was mistaken for her undercover FBI twin--a twin she didn't know that she had. She must take her twin's place, pretending to be a criminal to stop the bad guys that are now a threat to both of them. She's extremely smart when it comes to science and how things work, but she felt like the weaker twin when it came to the undercover work, especially as there wasn't enough time to properly prepare her for the role. It's difficult enough to earn a meeting with the people running a phone network used by criminals because they're under close scrutiny. How would a criminal react to each situation? But an unknown man was also trying to kill Audrey. Agent Lee used his knowledge to help and protect Audrey, but it also took her unique knowledge to save their lives. I loved that he appreciated and cooperated with Audrey when she had the needed solution or had to take the lead.

With one dangerous situation after another, the suspense was high. The main characters were engaging, and I cared about what happened to them. They briefly asked God to help or heal on several occasions. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this exciting novel.

I received an ebook review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Undercover Twin. This is book one in the series Twins Separated at Birth. I really enjoyed this book. It is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.

Audrey Clark is to attend a Postdoctoral Symposium. She had missed registration due to a late flight. As she crosses the campus a man rushes up to her in the dark. He puts something in her purse. Gunshots sound all around her and the man falls on top of her. He tells her not to trust and then dies. A man rescues her but believes she is someone else, his partner. He lifts her and runs for their lives until they meet up with his partner, her mirror image, Kendra has been shot. She must take the place of the twin sister she never knew existed.

FBI Agent Lee Benson and his partner are to meet with a fellow under cover agent for the case they are on. There fellow agent meets his partner but in the wrong place. Shots are fired and the other agent is killed. He runs with his partner that turns out not to be his partner at all but a twin. When Kendra is in the hospital having surgery he takes Audrey on his secret mission.

A great journey into a world that Audrey never knew existed. Their lives are on the line but she has no training to help. She must use her brain instead of her brawn. God has a plan for these two. A plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him control of your life and watch Him move in it.

Electrical Engineer Audrey Clark wasn't looking for espionage or a covert operation when she stumbled upon her twin sister. Separated at birth they never knew that the other existed, until now.

Audrey's FBI agent sister is shot, and Audrey is swept into her world by pretending to be the sister that she never knew in order to keep her safe. Agent Lee Benson is tasked with keeping Audrey safe in their dangerous game of pretend.

Audrey was raised by academics, as has excelled in the tech sciences, she knows there's more to life than science can explain. Audrey is used to playing things safe, and doesn't like to take risks, but her determination and willingness to see things through in tough situations pays off. She learns that she is braver than she ever thought, as she works alongside Lee to infiltrate the network that is putting their country at risk.

Lee has been working undercover for years, and he's gotten a little too comfortable living the high life, and has never taken his faith seriously until now. He is cool under pressure and skilled at taking calculated risks. He want justice for his friend, and doesn't want to lose this one chance to take down the entire corrupt network.

Overall, an engaging read with a suspenseful high stakes plot. I love how Lee and Audrey must use their wits to survive a deadly game. Highly enjoyable, with great dialogue and intriguing characters. I didn't want to put this one down!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Undercover Twin by Heather Woodhaven. This is my first book by Heather and I enjoyed that she created a very smart and capable female lead. Audrey is an engineer and working on her doctorate. She finds out she has a twin in an unexpected way. They both were adopted and did not realize they had a sister. Audrey replaces her twin, Kendra on an FBI mission and gets teamed up with her partner, Lee. There was a very cute attraction and relationship that builds between Lee and Audrey. Although this is part of the love inspired suspense series there is not much Christian undertones. It’s mostly just them praying. There is a second book coming out for the other twin, Kendra. It’s possible the Christian relationship will further develop in that one.
The author created some fun scenes and it was action packed. Both characters are extremely likable and their relationship was adorable. I liked how the author shows the differences in the twins even though they are identical. The author created situations that used both Lee’s skills from the FBI and Audrey’s skills from her education.
Sexual content kissing only.
Violence someone is trying to kill them throughout the entire book. A couple people die.

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.

Undercover Twin is book one of a two book offering by Heather Woodlawn. They are published by Love Inspired.
Running a bit late, Audrey Clark arrives at a symposium. Suddenly, she is passed a large envelope. Case of mistaken identity? It all becomes clear when, after a man is shot, she comes face to face with the twin she didn’t know existed! When her twin is also wounded, the only thing possible is to assume her twin’s identity and go undercover with her partner in the FBI.
This was a fast paced, exciting read. When they get out of one scrape, it seems Audrey and Lee get into another. Who is after them and can they complete their mission. And what about those feelings Lee is having toward Audrey that he never had toward her sister Kendra? The action scenes were well described. I especially like the hot air balloon sequence. The author has obviously been up in a balloon. The faith thread was subtle but realistically portrayed.
This is the first book about the twins. Next book, we get to see what transpires with Kendra.
I recommend this book for fans of Love Inspired Suspense.

Audrey Clark finds out she has a twin sister in a very dramatic way. She is on her way to register for a Postdoctoral Symposium when she is approached by a strange man who is subsequently shot while talking to her. He falls on her and then another man helps her up and rushes her away from the gunfire. At his van he meets up with the woman he thought he had rescued. Seems these two women are twins separated at birth, adopted and never told of the other's existence. Audrey's twin, Kendra is a FBI agent working undercover with FBI Agent Lee Benson on a very important case. Kendra has been shot so Lee rushes her to the ER. He then asks Audrey to take her place on the undercover case and things go awry from there.

Undercover Twin by Heather Woodhaven is the first book in her Twins Separated at Birth series. There's lots of action in this story. The storyline is fast-paced and kept me turning the pages. I really liked the characters and am looking forward to Kendra's story in Covert Christmas Twin.

This is one of my very favorite books! Lee Benson and Audrey Clark remind me of Lee Stetson and Amanda King, the two main characters from the 1980s spy show, Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Both Lee Stetson and Lee Benson are charming and professional spies, (though neither one can stand actually being called a spy), who each have their walls up at first. Audrey and Amanda are both quirky women who soften the men in their lives. They each enter the spy world by unforeseen circumstances. Audrey is given an USB drive from an informant, who believes that she is her F.B.I. Sister, Kendra. Amanda is handed a package by Lee Stetson, in hopes of keeping it out of the hands of the criminals who are after him. Although both guys find the unexpected women in their lives different and a little bit ditzy, they eventually come to respect and to fall in love with their new partners! I highly recommend this book to all mystery/spy lovers!

Oh my gosh! Audrey is on her way to attend a Symposium. While on her way to registration a strange man approaches her and talks to her - and is shot during this process. Audrey is whisked away and comes face to face with someone who looks just like her. Audrey and Kendra were separated at birth. They had no idea about each other. Kendra is an FBI agent who the strange man was looking for. Kendra is working undercover with FBI Agent Lee Benson on a very important case. When Kendra gets shot - Audrey is asked to stand in her place - which leads to lots of action and suspense. Audrey and Lee have great chemistry - it was fun to follow their story. The author always does a great job writing believeable characters and intriguing storylines - can't wait to read Kendra's story.

I received a copy of this book through the author - all thoughts are my own.

It has to be a shock finding out you are a twin when you had no clue, but how Audrey finds out is exceptionally shocking. She doesn't just have a twin, she has a kick butt FBI agent twin sister. Not to mention that sister is partnered with a hot FBI agent in an undercover mission that Audrey must take over if there is any chance at success.
I loved that Lee had never considered his partner at all in the way that he instantly viewed Audrey. They looked identical and yet his was romantically drawn to one and not the other. Their mission was a wild ride and I enjoyed it all.
It was a 4/5 for me. I want to know what happens next with her sister!

UNDERCOVER TWIN is the first book in Heather Woodhaven's electrifying new series Twins Separated at Birth!

As a reader, I was quickly drawn into the mystery of this story when we learned within the first chapter that Audrey had a twin sister she didn't even know about. The excitement Lee brings to the foreground when he believes she's his partner in the FBI (the twin, Kendra) sets us up for a quick paced delve into a ruse she only hopes she can keep up.

Overall, this was a satisfying story with an attention grabbing plot. I would have liked to have seen more time for an emotional connection between Audrey and Kendra to be developed, but hopefully we will see more of that in the conclusion of the duet, coming soon! Recommended to lovers of intrigue and sweet romance!

What would you do if you are suddenly shot at, running for cover, and run into someone who looks just like you??!! That's what happens to Audrey Clark - and that is just in the first chapter!! She discovers she has a twin sister who is an FBI agent and involved in a covert operation. When Audrey is asked to take her sister's place, she doesn't hesitate - until she discovers that she has to pretend to be married to her sister's handsome partner! Can Audrey pull this off? Or will all of them pay the ultimate price? Great suspense novel with lots of twists and turns!!

Loved this book and couldn't wait to see what happens to Audrey.
The author is new to me of course and she has done a wonderful job in keeping my attention. She has even made me snicker too. Twice my husband has asked me what Was so funny so I read so places that were in the book to him. He said he liked it and laughed too.
There is also wonderful action and some twists in the book that I never saw coming.
I can relate to the twin thing. My cousin has two, boy and girl. They're pretty awesome!
The author has written a great plot along with some humor in the book as I've said earlier.

Talk about a neat storyline. I like what Heather has decided to explore. Who would have thought of 2 twins not knowing. In this story we meet Audrey Clark and Lee Benson. Audrey has certain skill set that comes in handy for certain problems. Its fun to read this story with each new problem that crops up. For they work together as a team on each situation. Its a very interesting read for its got a steady pace and lots of mystery. It has romance that is slow and steady. I like that she shows an epilogue of time passing. Its a great book I can't wait for her sister's book. J

Murder and mayhem abound in this story of twins separated at birth, unaware of each others existence. One sister is an FBI agent the other has a doctorate in electrical engineering.
As the story develops each sister must call on her own strengths to help the FBI as they try to expose a cellular network for criminals and its members. There is lots of high energy action from beginning to end. I really enjoyed the book.

Heather Woodhaven is 'up' on technology to the point that I always learn something when reading her books. Her settings for danger are different from the usual choices--and frankly, I'm tired of jungles and mountains. My best compliment for Woodhaven is that I was reading this book in line at a store, and the line seemed too short when I was right in the middle of a scene! Enjoyable and fun reading.

Undercover twin is a fast pacing, page turning, plot twisting book. From the very beginning Audrey Clark gets pulled right in to the FBI plot of trying to take down a Masked Network of criminals. And it's also about her finding out that she has an identical twin sister who is also in the FBI trying to take down this network of criminals. And if you really want to know what happens to Audrey and Kendra you'll just have to read this book to find out.

I really enjoyed this clean, . romantic suspense. I bought this from a local store and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 5* rating. If you like stories about secret agents and unexpected things happening, then this will hit the spot. Add about twins not knowing about each other, another interesting thing. Lots of twists and turns, with a little bit of humor and this really kept me turning the pages. I want to read more of this author's work.
