"Even if he doesn't want to be with me, he will always be one of the best things to ever happen to me."

We weren’t just young, we were stupid and reckless.

He was the beginning of every bad decision I made, the enemy of everyone I’d ever loved.

I was a pawn in his game. A prize to be claimed, and a trophy to be flaunted.

Now we’re two adults with crooked pasts, trying to straighten out our future.

His heart belongs to his daughter, while mine is too tattered to give away.

Neither of us believe in happily ever after. Not after everything we’ve been through.

So, why are we desperately trying to chase ours?

4.5 Stars ~ Reviewed by Donna on behalf of KindleFriendsForever

Sasha Allman and Jay Evans worlds collided when they were young, reckless, stupid and loaded with secrets. It was a short-lived affair due to Jay playing games and it certainly looked like he was using young Sasha, making her sorry she ever got involved with him. Years later their stars are aligned; they bump into each other again with a lot of baggage and laden with guilty feelings for their past mistakes. Neither one believes they deserve any kind of happiness, especially after all they have been through. Sasha is the mother of a sixteen-year-old and has coped well being a young mum. She has support from Jagger who is Dakotas father and his brother, Hendrix. They are Sasha’s best friends from her childhood with a lot of history that goes way back. Sasha is loyal to them with all her guilt and insecurities, always being her worst own enemy. She’s accepted that it was a million years ago that her life was a party to be thrown, but now she knows she isn’t the only one with regrets.

“Whatever you need to say, you can say it here.”
“It’s been over a decade, Pretty Girl. I’ve got a lot to say.”

Jay was always known as the devil’s backbone. A total sinner with his shady dealings, now he is responsible for his little girl, Lily, making his priorities solely for his baby and the reputable career he has carved from himself. Jay knows there will be no peace until he makes amends with Sasha and he sets out to put right his wrongs. Sasha isn’t interested in listening to him after her heart being broken, making her colder towards him. She is in no rush to listen to him or his apologies; however, there is something about him that she can’t ignore. She risks bungee jumping into seeing what can be between them. It’s fair to say their chemistry and passion combust into flames, but how about the animosity from the Michaels’ brothers towards Jay? If they were to find out about the reconnection, it could be fire on fire and would take a river to cool things down between the sworn enemies.

'I wasn’t happy.
I wasn’t loved.
I wasn’t anyone that would ever be worth remembering.'

Ms. Valentine has written a flawless story about a couple who are perfectly wrong in so many ways. And although I believe in second chances for the two protagonists, you would have to read it to discover whether or not they finally have their redemption. Everyone’s waiting to see what lies ahead with them chasing cars. I felt every word and was so invested in the story that for once, I thought I was going to get through the author’s story without shedding a tear. I was so wrong; don’t blame me for being a big softie! Ms. Valentine can deliver that sucker punch of emotions that tear you up. I have given five stars due to not being able to get this story out of my head. It has all the feels with every emotion, and I can safely say this author writing has power over me to make me keep re-reading this story until I can finally let these characters rest. I must mention the accompanying playlist which is a firm favorite of mine to give the ultimate reading experience.

Marley Valentine has once again written a story that grabbed me from the first few pages and did not let go. Rectify was truly a sensational book and so beautifully written. It is a tale of self-discovery, finding your own self-worth and learning to love yourself.

Sasha and Jay’s story is a complicated one. They have a past that goes way back to their teenage years and is a tale of poor choices and decisions, mistakes and regrets and hurt and pain. Sasha and Jay go on an epic emotional journey together as they seek to forgive and make up for their losses. Their path to their own happily ever after was a joy to read. Individually they grow, recognise their own mistakes and learn from them.

This was such an outstanding read and I absolutely loved it. Marley Valentine has been a must-read author of mine since I discovered Reclaim and with Rectify she has only cemented herself as an author to watch because she has pure talent and definitely deserves every praise and acknowledgement she gets for creating this wonderful series and her incredible storytelling.

Marley Valentine does it again with another perfectly amazing and emotional addition to The Redemption Series. This book gives full meaning to you think you know the story, but do you? And everyone deserves their Shot at a HEA. Sasha and Jay’s journey gave me so many feels it’s like the pages were coming to life. Marley has a way with her writing and you are captivated from the very beginning.

I was so excited about reading this book but I went into it with an open mind and heart. If you read the previous books you know Sasha, but the thing is I don’t think w really knew Sasha. Reading this I absolutely fell in love with her. She has such a kind heart where before, we just saw the flaws. She owns a childcare center, that in itself should say how big her heart is, but that is where she meets or should I say re meets Jay.

Oh sexy Jay, his world revolves around his little daughter Lily, and the last thing he expected was to see dropping her off at daycare was the pretty girl from his past. Their past if full of all kind of complicated but as soon as he sees her he pretty much marked her with the “mine” stare.
Sasha and Jay’s past and present is full of complicated but will love win out? Does everyone get the HEA? You have to read and see! I totally recommend you do!

What a fitting way to end this series! In reading the earlier books in this series I thought Sasha got what she deserved. However this book showed me I made my assumption with blinkers on. There is so much more to her story and I’m happy to of read it and see her in a totally different light.

Sasha is the childhood sweetheart of Hendrix, she’s the mother of Jaggers daughter and she’s Dakotas mother. Somehow she’s been so busy keeping her ducks in a row for the sake of those she considers family that she has lost herself. Putting the happiness of everyone else in front of her own has cost her dearly. Old habits are hard to change and when she is finally finding happiness she pushes it away. Finding the balance between give and take is much harder than she thought.

Jay was her first but he hurt her when he pushed her away. He had to make some tough life changing decisions. She was the one that got away and his one regret. He needed to apologise for his actions, but she wouldn’t give him the chance. Jay just wants Sasha to put herself first and to not be the only one to bear the load of guilt. They say persistence pays and he finally started breaking down her walls. Until she put herself in a fortified castle and he couldn’t reach her. Thankfully her knight in shining armour fought her battles for her.

This is Marley Valentine's best work yet!

If you're looking for a raw, relatable and emotional book, you need to read Rectify.

Sasha Allman is the woman I loved to hate. She's broken, and can't seem to find her place in the world. There were a lot of times when I wished I could just crawl inside the book and shake some sense into her, but overall, I loved how she bloomed throughout the book.

Jay Evans is the perfect combination of a bad boy and a hardened yet caring man. All he wants is Sasha...and he's ready to take the leap and jump to the unknown for her. Even if that means having to face the world and come back to the place he once left because it was going to end up killing him.

Sasha and Jay's story is angsty, steamy and so swoony. I couldn't put this book down because I just needed to know what was going to happen next.

If you're a fan of second chance romances, this is definitely one you don't want to miss out on.

I received an ARC of this book and I loved it! Both characters tried to move on from their painful past. Jay had left the life of crime and became grounded when he had a little girl. Sasha sacrificed her own happiness so others would be able to have a happy future, no matter what her consequences were. When they come face to face again, old feelings that they thought were buried come to the surface. Marley did an excellent job with the emotional state of each character, ultimately bringing them together. Excellent and easy to read book!

I’ve read the previous books in this standalone series and I must say that hearing Sasha’s complete story has me looking at her in a whole new light. This book is filled with emotional ups and downs for Sasha and Jay both as individuals as well as when rediscover themselves together. If you’re looking for a second chance romance that will have you turning the pages and falling deeply for each and ever character then this is the story for you.

I don't how to express how beautifully written this book was. I was mesmerized from page one of this beautifully written story. Sasha and Jay were the least popular couple to end up together. But, sometimes love is found in ways we least expect. And, we may think we are suppose to be with someone else, but find that person may have never been meant for us. We of course met Sasha in Book one, Reclaim. Most readers did not like Sasha for numerous reasons. I could relate to her, I've had friends like her. Insecurities are real. I knew if we could get inside her head we would be able to understand why she was the way she was. I was always #teamSasha. Jay? Not so sure I was going to be able to like him as we learned more about him in Book two, Revive. But, in Book three, Reclaim. He did claimed my heart. I was like #teamJagger, #teamHendrix WHO? Let me tell you. If you want to read about a bad boy turned good, but still has a little bad (where we women like the bad), When two misunderstood people find each other years later, boom sparks fly. Jay as a single father (ovaries exploding over here). I had some moments in this book where I wanted to knock Jagger in the face so bad. I actually hated him for a couple of chapters, he won my heart back in the end. Hendrix, he is just a yummy good man, but not for Sasha. The story of Jay and Sasha may very well be my favorite of the 3 books. You don't have to have read the other 2 books to read Reclaim, but you would not want to miss any of the books in this series. They are all amazing. This book made me cry sad and happy tears. I think I may have even cried during the epilogue. Although those were definitely happy tears, some were laughing tears. Perfect end to the three couples outlined in this series. But, I'm thinking we are going to be seeing more of these couples moving forward into the next generation. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. I will say that this is the best book I have read in 2019. I highly recommend this book!!! You only be disappointed if you don't read it.

That deserves way more than 5 stars. I’m a bit of an emotional wreck right now but I’m going to try to express how this made me feel. Marley’s words always have this incredible impact on my heart and soul while having my brain work to make everything want to keep working. (All in a good way.) You can just feel the emotions coming off each page and chapter. I caught myself crying more times than I could count because I could just FEEL how Sasha was feeling.

Sasha is a powerful and strong woman but you can see that she puts so many others before herself and that’s how she fakes it. Seeing the way she grew made me so freaking proud of not only Sasha but Marley in how inspiring her words were to me. I think that’s why I connected with Sasha so much because even though they are different experiences I can still feel the mutual pain.

Jay.... I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about him since the last time we head of him wasn’t the greatest but he has changed. My heart broke for him several times throughout this book learning about his past and current situations. He spoke the truth to Sasha and Drix and Jagger in the hospital and I was crying so hard!

Marley I can’t express how grateful I am to be given the opportunity to read your books for my honest review because they are an experience every single time. I am consumed by so many emotions for this book but you should be incredibly proud. I am proud of this book and I hope everyone reads it. It shows strength, growth and love; what more could you want from such a great book!!

I am so in love with this Story

From the beginning I have been a massive fan of the broken girl Sasha Allman #TeamSasha all the way. Rectify just blew me away, bravo Marley this is a phenomenal read and the perfect story for Sasha.

When Jay Evans accidentally bumps into Sasha the one woman from his past who’s heart he destroyed. Locking eyes for the first time in over 10 years there are so many unspoken words between them, so much pain and hurt filled in her eyes, pain to much to bear. That doesn’t stop Jay from wanting to right the wrongs from so long ago the only problem is the lies and the past is to much to bear for Sasha not to mention Jagger & Drix will have a lot to say when they know he is back in town.

I enjoyed the angst, the hurt and those heart bursting moments. I have been eagerly awaiting Sasha’s book and I could not have thought of a more perfect journey for this whole family. Marley you delivered such a gut wrenching, soul tearing and emotionally beautiful book filled with so many beautiful relationships.

You will need to one click this book to understand the journey of two broken and damaged souls, it will kick start your heart.

Okay first I have to say this because anyone who follows my reviews know I HATE Sasha. I hate everything about her. She is a selfish, manipulating biatch that cares for no one but herself and her daughter. I mean she had my blood boiling so bad I had to put the book down several times. SO can you imagine my thoughts when I saw she was getting her own book. I said oh hell to the no she doesn't deserve a story but thank God I am not the author.

I will say that I am glad that I read this book because I was able to piece together what happened to her when she was younger. She ended her relationship with Drix to be with Jay and I could not understand why. I was so disappointed in her behavior but after reading her story I understand why she did what she did. It still doesn't excuse her behavior but what the hell people deserve to have second chances and as long as it was not with Drix I was happy to see she would get a happy ending.

When Sasha was younger she left Drix to be with Jay and Jay did her wrong real wrong and she got her feelings hurt real bad. She ends up having her daughter and she focuses solely on her daughter and trying to figure out how she could get Drix back into her life without ruining it. But Drix has moved on and he is with his girl married and has children. Then she sees Jay and he wants to talk to her. He wants forgiveness for what he did and he is truly sorry for what he did to her and she is not ready to forgive him yet. Then she finds out that Jay has a daughter himself and he has changed his life for her for the better.

As the two rekindle a friendship it turns into something more and as they navigate through this new relationship they have to learn to let go of the past and move on to the future.

Rectify is book 3 in Marley Valentine’s Redemption Series. This is book 3 in the series but it can be read as a standalone. If you wish to know more about Jared & Emerson or Hendrix & Taylah read the other books.

Redemption reading order;
*Reclaim - Jared and Emerson
*Revive - Hendrix and Taylah
*Rectify - Jay and Sasha

I always like a second chance love story and this Story was worth the heartache to read it. I haven’t read books 1 & 2 as of yet but now having read this book I will definitely be reading them to get inside the heads of Jared and Hendrix. At first I was upset and disappointed with Sasha’s attitude towards making Jared and Hendrix’s happiness her priority, over hers. But thanks to Claire, Holly and Jay, Sasha is able to move past her insecurities and unhappiness to be able to finally be happy.

Sasha and Hendrix were childhood sweethearts, but after thinking she wasn’t worthy of Hendrix’s affection she starts hanging out with the local older bad boy Jay, Sasha and Jared are the parents to Dakota. Sasha has been so busy taking care of the ones she calls family happiness that she has lost herself along the way. Jay was her first but he hurt her when he pushed her away. Sasha was the one that got away and his one regret. After years of thinking about her and not being able to really move on with his life. So when he sees her again he has this urgent need to apologise for his actions, but Sasha wont give him the chance. They say persistence pays and he finally starts breaking down her walls, just for it to come to a crashing halt when he comes face to face with the Michael brothers.

I enjoyed this one a lot. It's well written and a great story about second chances and self-discovery. I wasn't a big fan of Sasha, but I still thought she deserved her HEA. She has a long list of all the mistakes she done. Some of them were revealed in the previous books, but in this one it goes a bit deeper. Sasha isn't a bad person, but still didn't find her very likable. Relatable? Yes. I think the choices she made were understandable and many in her position would have done the same. She was a victim of low self-esteem and putting others' opinion before hers. I did feel bad for her because of how the twin brothers treated her. I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I didn't like Jagger very much in this. I actually wanted to kick him in his groin, but I still love him. Drix was even more lovable.
What made me love this book was Jay Evans. From the very beginning, I was intrigued by him. Jay's a bad boy who turned a new leaf. He was just so swoon worthy. One of the things I loved about Jay was the way he accepted Sasha with all her flaws. He saw more than what was on the surface. He definitely a 6 star rating.
One thing I would have love to have seen was interactions with Jay and Lily with Dakota and Sasha.

The past doesn’t always stay in the past, but second chances can heal old wounds. A poignant, heart wrenching, emotionally charged love story.

Sasha has had her fair share of hurt and pain. I was not Team Sasha, but the author changed my mind. She is a mother who loved her daughter fiercely. A single mom as a teenager and now a successful business owner. A woman who sacrificed so that her family could find their happiness.

Jay was her high school boyfriend that broke her heart. He was a mess back then, but time and maturity turned him into a man to be proud of. He’s now a single dad who does everything for his baby girl. He too created a successful career for himself from nothing.

A second chance at the happily ever after they never thought was in the cards. Forgiveness sets you free from the past and gives you the future you deserve.

The author seduces you with her words and makes you feel every single emotion along with her characters. The story’s she tells leaves you with lasting impressions and characters who steal your heart.

Rectify was a second chance romance with a side of enemies to lovers. This third book in the Redemption series had me enraptured from the start. Sasha has always been a character that had me on the fence, not sure whether to love or hate her. However, as we delve deeper into her inner turmoil with this story, my heart ached for her and my soul finally understood. Jay was the boy who used her in his childish games but when the boy turns into a better man and comes crashing back into her life, can the past be put to bed and can secrets be divulged that will lay a path to a future. Their story is complex, emotional and at times frustrating but so worth the ride. The heat and steam that radiates from these two makes an Aussie summer seem so mild in comparison. A story that stole my heart and wishing for it to never end.

Rectify was a highly anticipated read for me! Meeting Sasha in Reclaim and Revive I just wasn’t a big fan of hers! Her emotions were all over the place and I found it to be annoying! However, this time Marley has given us Sasha’s side of things and has painted a better more clear picture as to why she felt the push and pull in her relationships. Marley’s amazing words and detail had me finally cheering for Sasha and hoping she would find her place. But when her past rears it’s ugly head making her face another challenge she didn’t know she was ready for, everyone’s lives and feelings are at stake. Marley has painted such vivid pictures with her words you can’t help but feel like you are experiencing love and loss just as her characters! I highly recommend you join the tissue train and read this book!!

Really didn't think I was going to like the main characters in this, but Marley sure turned them around. Full of more secrets from the past, more family dynamics, and plenty of personal growth, this was another addictive book in this series.

It's also left open a spot for another book, which I really can't wait for. So many interesting characters in this series, and I have absolutely loved reading it. Highly recommend.

Let me start by saying though this series I was not Team Sasha. There I said it. Quite frankly at times I didn't like her. But Rectify is a story of second chances, redemption and not letting the hurts of the past define you and your future. In this book I got to see another side of Sasha. When her former boyfriend Jay shows back up in her life, she is forced to evaluate her feelings for him now versus the 15 year old girl she was. Their history is a complicated one, but I enjoyed watching them work through their feelings as they search for their happily sever after. Marley writes with a depth and emotion that I love and completely draws you into her books. 5 stars!

Rectify Book 3 A Redemption by Marley Valentine

5+++ Stars

Ok.. so you haven't read this series, you are totally missing out! I absolutely love love this series! I can't express how much!! I do say start from the first book. So much angst, forbidden, and very emotional. Captured my interest throughout.

"When people said keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer, I was the enemy they were talking about."

"I wasn't happy. I wasn't loved. I wasn't anyone that would ever be worth remembering."

Very highly recommend!

Rectify was one of my most anticipated reads of this new year and Marley Valentine did not disappoint! If you love second chance and single dad with a lot of angst mixed with some drama this is the book checks all your boxes! Sasha and Jay are messy, their past even messier, but they are the glue to each others cracked hearts. There is no shortage of hot, explosive moments and a rollercoaster of emotions! Sasha and Jay were everything I could have hoped for and a perfect addition to this series!!

4.5 stars.

This is my second book by this author and I never expected her to be able to change my mind about Sasha, and certainly not as fast as she did. I had a strong dislike for Sasha in Revive so I went into this book with my mind already made up but it wasn’t long before I started to see a different side to Sasha and all the stuff she’s had to deal with.

I was rooting for Sasha in this book. She’s gone through a lot, she puts everyone before herself and it’s time she got her own second chance in love. The guy in this is so delicious, I fell for him fast and hard.

This is a really well written, emotional story with characters that are easy to empathise with that I read in one sitting purely because I needed to know how her story ended. Great book.

Marley Valentine has delivered a beautiful story full of hurt, healing, and second chances.

I loved seeing Sasha from a different perspective. In the previous books, she was not cast in a very good light and was difficult to relate to, let alone like. But her story, her full story, makes all the difference in the world as to how she is viewed. She has battled with self-esteem issues and loving herself has been hard, but she has finally decided to work to make herself someone she can be proud of, who she can love, and who can be loved by someone else.

Jay is the boy from her past who devastated her, fractured an already broken and fragile girl even further. But in hurting Sasha, he hurt himself too. Now he is back in her life, a changed man, wanting a second chance with the girl who got away.

With the tempestuous history that they share, will they be able to repair old hurts, get past the regrets, and find a way to be together?

Jay and Sasha goodness

First of all, I need me some Brioche Cake. Even better if Jay gives it to me. Holy hotness, he is something else.
I love that Marley was able to give Sasha a new light. I really couldnt stand her in the previous books. Rectify gave me all the insight to why she was the way she was. Now I love her.
"I'm going to f%&* you so hard for leaving me," "And then I'm going to love you even harder for coming back." SWOON!!!!
Jay certainly knows his way into a girls heart! Great read. The whole series is fantastic.

Another AMAZING read from this wonderful author! I have been waiting somewhat impatiently for Rectify since finishing Revive and let me tell you - TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT!

This story made me a total Sasha fan. I loved hearing all of her story and getting her point of view on everything that has happened. You can feel her emotions and her love for her family throughout the story. I enjoyed meeting Jay and hearing his story as well. Both of these characters balance each other so well.

You absolutely need to read this book!

This is the book I have been waiting for. I always had a soft spot for this girl. I just wanted her to be happy. She may have made some decisions that frustrated me at times in the past but I still felt for her, she was an awesome teenage Mum and this book showed even more what a beautiful soul she is.

This was a lovely heart-wrenching story of troubled teenagers turning their lives around and finding their second chance at love many years later. These two had a history together. It didn’t end well but there was a reason for that. I really admired Jay and his ability to break the mold. He was easily someone you would fall hard for. I loved the Dad he became and the way he could read Sasha’s insecurities.

Marley has a way of ripping your heart out one minute and then making it race with her steamy HAF scenes the next, Jay had it all going for him. I adored how attentive he was, he was very charismatic.
But Marley keeps you guessing.

“The connection is there, the strands of something new, weaving its way around something old, and we’re both helpless on what happens next. In a perfect world our history wouldn’t be so painful, our timeline wouldn’t have an end, and our future wouldn’t be non-existent. It’s right there, and either one of us can grab it, but like old times, I don’t think either of us will. Fear. Rejection. Heartache.”

This is a must read to see how it unfolds. If ever there were two people I wanted to see get their HEA it was Sasha and Jay it was their turn.
