Wow..You never know What you are going to get in reading this author's work, just that it Is going to be Exciting, Strange, a little Bloody..And So Very Good!! And what a collection of characters we meet here, people who have been hurt when young or old, and live their lives carrying that little 'crazy' aspect that shows up when never expected. So many twists, lies and surprises on every page, you can Not stop reading!!
Cara seems a plain young woman, renting a room from John, a bank employee. She cooks his meals, and for a few weeks they enjoy their relationship. But then things change, as John finds out about his tenant through a number she calls, he starts to try to hurt her hoping she will leave. Meanwhile he meets Ev, a fresh-faced woman he gets a job at his bank for, which leads to a closer relationship..And This gets to Cara..The title 'Sinister' is perfect here, as the true persona emerges from the actions of each person, in a complete bundle of lies and back-stabbing..The ending will keep you on your toes long after you close the book..
I recommend you read this and live in a different world for awhile..A Great Book!!

Everyone has secrets ... deep, dark secrets.

Cara rents a room in John's house. They seem to get along well, until John starts acting strangely. He becomes quiet and withdrawn. She thinks daily of killing him.

Ev has a run in with Cara and they become friends ... of a sort. Ev is not the kind of friend Cara normally has ... but then John doesn't allow her to have friends. Ev encourages Cara to fix herself up, wear something besides beige, color her hair, get a spiky cut ...just like Ev.

John wishes he had never accepted Cara as a lodger. In fact, he's downright afraid of her ... especially when he sees what she keeps in her room.

SINISTER is a great title for this psychological thriller. There are surprising changes within all the twists and turns of the plot. The book is told in 3 voices ... Cara, Ev, John. Each sees things in a different way ... so who's telling the truth? Who's lying? And who has the deepest, darkest secret?

Many thanks to MEL COMLEY (author) for recommending and sending the digital copy of this book. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

What would you do if someone decided you should be dead?

This is such an incredibly twisted read involving three people whose lives are intertwined. But what unravels is pure genius.

Love this author’s work. She has a super twisted mind that I absolutely love.

This is a different type of read that was gripping from the opening chapter.

Secrets can have sinister consequences.

Great read, highly recommended.

This was a good read. I enjoyed the thriller and the way the story was set out. every character got their say in the end which was nice. At the end I was almost yelling at Ev that she was wrong. I didn't see the ending coming, although it does make sense.

I really like John, the banker. He decides to rent his spare room out. This is when we meet Cara.
She cooks too. A win, win, for him.

He then meets Ev. Who is everything Cara isn’t. He soon becomes involved with her. Although, he still returns home for food, after work.

This story got even more twisted. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Of course, I wanted to find out what was really going on!

Be prepared to be shocked, and a bit sick 😂.

A fantastic read by Emmy Ellis!

Read this book within a day, simply could not put it down. A love triangle?...maybe. People are never quite how they seem on first impressions. We get each side of this sinister tale from the three main characters. Is there an evil and twisted mind amongst them? or are all three capable of sinister things? They all have secrets...so you decide. A chilling and gripping read. Highly recommended.

What would you do to shake off a childhood of murder and incest?

What would you do if you found out if your boyfriend had cheated on you, was abusive and wanted you to leave the house you lived in

A book written in three accounts, who is the third and is he the link between the two.

Brilliantly written
