A step by step guide to painting 15 different scenes in watercolor by Canadian artist Peter Humeniuk. From florals to sunsets, barns and lighthouses, this book shows each painting in small increments from beginning to end with descriptions and pictures of each step plus pictures of Peter's palette mixing colors. Beginning to advanced artists can learn how to paint in Peter's loose dramatic style, letting the water be the paint brush. Peter Humeniuk made art for over 70 years and his loose renderings of rough water and stormy skies have been inspiring students for many years. His workshops and classes in Canada and the U.S. were attended and his followers have been many. Peter’s style did not change for students from beginner to intermediate and advanced, and all benefit from his videos and lessons.
Very concise and clear instructions for beautiful pictures. A winner. Good use of the before you paint prerequisites in terms of xooo color, use of the brush, thickness of the paint, the brush, etc..
I enjoyed the book even more than his videos. You can page through each step by step and get what you need. Try that with YouTube over the 15 videos. It is not as convenient as this book. I think Pauline is his wife .
