Desiree met Zane the evening of Independence Day at Brooklyn’s Coney Island. On Christmas Eve that same year, Zane brought her back there to ask her to be his wife. Two months later they exchanged vows. Then ten months after that she forgot it all... including Zane. Before they met, Desiree never thought she could fall in love with a man she barely knew. Can she do it again? **This is a re-release with 3 bonus scenes!
Brookelyn wrote her first short story when she was a sophomore in high school. Back then she discovered how using her experience as a teen living in Brooklyn to create romantic shorts was just as exciting to her as retail shopping and going on dates. After starting her first semester of college two years later, Brookelyn’s creative writing became more of a hobby and something to do to escape the stress of midterms and finals. Now in her 30s as a freelance writer, penning short stories and novellas is her everything. While her experience with writing has evolved for the better, her undying love for creating fiction remains unchanged. Brookelyn's focus is on creating contemporary women's fiction with characters based in urban settings. Her stories chronicles the emotional journeys and erotic experiences of women today through her characters and the scenarios they're thrown into.
The motivation behind her brand of writing has a lot to do with what she discovered storytelling provided for her - an escape. Her goal with her work is to create characters and urban worlds that offer a great escape for fiction readers looking for a break from the daily grind of adulting and who prefer to relax with good books and short stories. When she’s not freelancing, doing yoga, or showing her husband and toddler lots of love, she can be found sitting at her computer desk, with her legs folded, and a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine) at arm’s reach as she types or edits her latest short or novella.
This is my third book by, this amazing Author the more I read had me fallen in love with her Craft. What a beautiful story I Totally agreed with Zane live in the moment.
I loved this short story the plot was great. I even shed a tear for Zane because if must have been so difficult for him but he was so patient and gentle with Desiree and I loved it... you could feel the love and passion they felt for one another through the pages especially at the end... No day is promised got to make them all count YOLO... Definitely a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read and patiently waiting for more
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I loved it. I loved how patient Zane was with Desiree. He didn’t push her even though he wanted her to remember him and the life they built together. Once they connected and Desiree was able to remember, the chemistry between the two of them was everything. I’m giving this book 5 stars, It’s a short story but I never felt as if things were rushed or as if anything was left out.
It takes a patient man to not only make a woman fall in love with them not once but twice and Zane was that man. Desiree was in a tragic accident that caused her to loose her short term memory but Zane loved her and loved on her until she came back around. I loved the added bonus scenes and they made the story more amazing.
The phrase, “Love is Patient” was evident in this book. Zane loved Desiree so much that he put his life on hold for her after her accident. She came first before a thing even though she did not remember him at all. This was a short, romantic love story and I really enjoyed it.
Well I didn’t know what to expect but the love between Zane and Desiree is one for the ages🥰. I loved the dynamics their roles played in their relationship and how that man loved on his woman it truly touched me and I believe any other reader will feel the same. This a beautiful story by Ms. Mosley
Desiree & Zane Chemistry was a amazing! I agree with other readers he was so patient! A love so strong that a memory loss can't break. Well written Brookelyn Mosley! You ever disappoint. My insomnia had me up reading the perfect short story! And thank you for always giving me my HEA!💚👏🏽💚
Beautiful love story about cherishing and enjoying life's most precious moments. Desiree lost her memory and everything she ever knew about her marriage to that fine azz Zane. Although this is a short read, the author is able to paint a very vivid picture of how these 2 met, fell in love, almost lost it, and fell in love again. Great read
My heart broke for Zane because I could feel his emotions as the story progressed. At one point I was like "aaawwww this poor man" and I felt like Desiree was being a meanie lol like I understood where she was coming from, but maaaammmm let that man love you. I enjoyed the ending.
4.5 Nicely written short as Zane's love for Desiree poured through the pages. Storyline kept me reading as his patience and caring nature after Desiree accident definitely made him a great husband. Good read
Zane had the patience of Job in this story. 45 days and some change without his wife and he was still in caring mode. Desiree had a jewel, a solid slice of heaven. The short tale was magnificent.
This was a short and cute story. Desiree and Zane were too cute. Even with her memory gone her heart remembered Zane. I love how he took the time to help her get her memory back. He was so loving and patient. Great story.
Zane and Desiree sugar with the spice! Loved this short story. I guess I should disclose that this was my first time reading Brookelyn Mosley's work. I'm on my way to line up my next book in her lineup! ,💕
I didn't know what to expect when I started reading, and at one point I thought I wouldn't like it, but I really loved this short story. It was so sweet and cute. He was so patient and determined. She was hesitant but open and wanting to remember. Very cute.
This novella was definitely written with a lot of heart! Love is a powerful emotion, and Desiree and Zane's connection provided the catalyst to overcome near tragedy, and make their way back to each other! Another good read for Valentine's Day!
