Kino's Journey is about a character named Kino who travels around the world with a talking motorcycle named Hermes. Together they travel to different countries and meet the inhabitants there.
Kino's policy is to only stay three days in every town without exception, saying it's enough time to learn about the each place and moving on to explore the next new place.

Keiichi Sigsawa's novel series continues to present bite-sized, philosophical quandaries that disintegrate if you think about them for more than five minutes, but at least some of the stories in this volume have happier endings. Particularly distasteful in this offering is the attempt to tackle regional slurs and the concept of virtue signaling, which falls flat in a puddle of filth under the town of the week's stinky dome. The land of infinite clones being smart enough to monitor their neighbors and plan ahead for artillery bombings sort of makes up for this, but overall the continued adventures of Kino and Hermes balance out into a boring, predictable pattern.

Memuaskan.

We follow the protagonist on a never-ending road trip where every single place they visit has some kind of quirk (some more openly disclosed than others.) Each visit is certainly thought-provoking and some of them might stay with you for awhile, but know what you're getting into.

I didn't mean to read this all in one sitting, but I couldn't help it.

I love how one simple look from Kino can say so much. The illustrator is immensely talented.

This volume was back to the quality of volume 1. Maybe I'll get volumes 5 through 8 after all.

Pretty philosophical, this still goes pretty hard.

A fight to the death for the "right" to become a citizen of a rather dubiously-led country. While mildly entertaining with the different opponents Kino must face, the truest, best part of the book was the talking dog that was at the end for a few pages.
