Accidental Babies

Rate this book
Dashing billionaire falls in love with average jobseeker and sweeps her off her feet with… babies? Tall, handsome, rich, and sexy, Jason Halloway is every woman’s dream guy. And as billionaires go, he’s not so bad himself; he seems to have everything in his life figured out already except for two little things—his misbehaving twins, Daphne and Tanner. Tall, a bit plain, definitely not rich, and two stones bigger than what Jason preferred his female employees, April Saunders is hardly worth anyone’s attention let alone the great Mr. Halloway’s. It seems her hopes of working in the reputable Halloway Corporations are already crushed before it could even take root. But when Jason loses the twins in his office and finds them in the arms of April, smiling in contentment, he needed to have a look at this person who just saved his day. And when she looked back at him with her suck-me-in obsidian eyes, he faltered... He might just let her in his company. Filled with the right amount of lighthearted jokes, family drama, and steamy love scenes, the page-turner Accidental Babies will have every reader of every age laugh, cry, and experience love—the real kind—that comes in all shapes and sizes.

The only reason it's getting 2 stars is because the concept wasn't bad at all. What was at issue is that the author was in need of a good editor. The transitions from thought process to thought process was all over the place. i.e. when Cameron and his wife are introduced; it's not until much later when you find out he's an ex-football player and his wife is an agent. That should have been brought up right away.

Then there are times when the author moves from one characters POV to another with no intro as to who she's talking about. i.e. When April is thinking about what Carrie has been up to and she's in the hospital, then all of a sudden, someone is thinking about what they will do while they get into the car. Well, that someone is Carrie. Again, transitions weren't smooth.

Also, the book could have had about three endings.

But, I liked the idea. I even liked what happened. The book just needs an editor. there were so many things I thought of, while reading, which could have smoothed the story out.

Hopefully the author will get with a good editor and write more. Don't want to be discouraging. The book just needed a better structor and lots of editing when it came to dialogue, spelling and transitions from one thing that happens to another.

It was ok, but it really requires a suspension of reality.

The story dragged in the first few chapters, to set the scene but wow did a lot happen and it all took place really close together then it jumped around to months down the road just bam we are here now, no spacing of time or plots. Honestly having kids there was also a lack of reality with those scenes. Moving forward this next bit is a spoiler *( in the first scene that the main guy meets the main girl, he is all she is plain she is fat and poorly dressed, then he is attracted to her so he sleeps with some rando girl while at work, she walks in on him, then he no sooner gets home and starts hitting on her and saying they are in a relationship.... umm no thank you, you walking add for condoms. )* Long story short if you are bored out of your mind and like sci fi this is the book for you otherwise try the sample and see if it fits your taste.

April had went to apply for an office job, never did she think she would leave with the job of being the nanny for the owner Jason Halloway.

Jason could not believe how his twins seemed to take right to April and knew he had to higher her to be his nanny.

This was another story I had found on the Chapters app, had really enjoyed and found the book to read the whole story. I really liked the storyline and the characters especially the adorable twins. It had some very sweet and romantic parts and a few things that made me sad or upset, but overall it did end with a wonderful happily ever after. There were a few typo and errors in the story that were slightly distracting, but not bad enough to take away from the book. It was a good read I am glad I found!

I read this unaware that it was part of a series. That made me a bit confused in the beginning, since I didn't get much of a backstory. Even so, it felt like there were chunks missing and that wouldn't be able to explain it. There were lack of development in the relationship that seemed to be there but not written. It got better at the end of the book, but it was a bit late for me.

I will give this book 3 stars instead of 2 only because I've given a lot worse books 2 stars. But I've given a lot better books 3 stars. I really need more stars to do an accurate rating.

Edit: It does say accidental series on the cover and I missed that before starting the book. But when I now looked for the other books in the series, there were none. Other than a 15 page novella that's just a bonus chapter.

Mmmmmmmha

It was ok from what I read. The summary got my attention. But the other reviews were so vague and so few I was worried about it. But it was free so I guess no harm no foul.

On to why I only rated it with 2 stars. There was just too many run on thoughts and conversations. The author was trying to get so much out I think it all sounded so forced. I ended up not finishing it. Maybe if she had an editor to help her clean I up a bit I would have really like it, but I think i saw some where that this was her first ( not sure if that's true or not) if it is than maybe she got in her stride better in her later books

O romance é beeem apressado no início e isso me desagradou. Esse livro foi uma decepção pra mim. Gosto muito do jogo dele no Chapters, me encantei pelas personagens quando joguei, mas esse livro... simplesmente não dá.

He might just let her in his company.

- This was definitely a feel good romance. Jason and April were an adorable pairing. They couldn’t be more opposites but somehow they made it work. April goes in for an interview at Holloway Corp., one of the biggest financial holdings in Chicago. On her way to her interview she finds two little babies crawling down the empty hallway. So with what any Good Samaritan would do she picks up the babies and tries to soothe them. Looking around for the parents she soon finds out these adorable twins belong to none other then the CEO of the company himself, Jason Holloway. Jason sees how good April is with his kids and decides that there is another job he would much rather her fill then being his receptionist. He decides to offer her the job as his live in nanny for the twins. She accepts and their relationship starts to form from there on. Their feelings for each other start to become palpable. They both know it’s dangerous territory to cross that line but as they live in the same apartment and develop a deep friendship those lines soon become blurred. To make matters worse as soon as they cross that boundary and decide they want to be more his ex, his mother, and the media soon take to trying to tear them apart. It was very enjoyable and It had a very bittersweet ending! 4/5⭐️

Great Story & Narration🎧 Enjoyable & Entertaining!
Accidental Babies
By: Saiyidah Rahman
Narrated by: Jessie Drumm

I enjoyed this book, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are realistic and easy to relate to. April Saunders is on her way to an interview at Halloway Corporation, on her way to her appointment she finds two toddlers crawling in the hallway. She picks them up and then person who was looking for them finds her with them. She explains what happened and why she was there and she gets hired on the spot, but not for the job she was applying for, she was hired as a Nanny for the two babies, Jason Halloway’s twin babies. A lot of goes in the book, it is nicely plotted, there is a bit of a mystery & suspense as someone is plotting to sabotage Jason, unsure where it is coming from but it is a scheme deeper than he thought as he tries to unfold who is behind it. April does great with the twins, she builds a great rapport with them, Jason sees this and sees her goodness and it helps bring out some of the goodness in his heart. In addition to the subplot storylines there is a great romance, April has self worth issues and insecurities, it was great to see her come out of her shell and grow as a person. Saiyidah Rahman, thank you for this great story.

I listened to the Audible edition, Jessie Drumm did a nice job narrating the story and bringing the characters and their story to life. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she captures the characters emotions and projects them into her performance. She is an entertainment storyteller and a talented voice artist. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Okay I ended up really enjoying this book. It was a bit of a slow start not going to lie but once it got going there was a lot in there. I was really surprised by a lot of the twists and I only caught maybe like one of them. The end was really surprising but I liked that Saiyidah Rahman really kept stringing you along, I really had no idea until right up until the end who the person behind everything was. I really liked how the twins were comfortable with her from the start and how much of a storyline they were. Every scene with them in it was really heart warming. I had a couple issues because I'm not really that big into a possessive storyline and Jason was a little for a bit but otherwise I really enjoyed the book and it was nice because SPOILER they never break up. Which was honestly nice to see because with all the twists and turns I seriously couldn't deal with that along with everything else. So overall 4 stars and with that cliffhanger I can't wait to read the next one! - Hannah

Accidental Babies
By: Saiyidah Rahman

When April goes for her interview, she has no idea that she is going to come out as the boss's nanny! Finding his 9 month old twins secures her position as the new caretaker, even though it's not her job of choice. Or is it? How can she stop from falling in love with the babies? This is a cute, fast listen with a boss/employee romance. But it has a little more than that to it! It's a single dad, trying to do his best, to be better than his parents were. It's feeling good about being full figured. It's about family. And it's got a little suspense and deception we don't see coming. It's impossible not to love these characters and try to figure out what is going to happen. Give it a listen, and you will see what I mean!

This is my first listen by Jessie Drumm and I enjoyed her. She has a large cast of characters and she easily handles them all with different voices and great pacing. I will be watching for more from her.

I’m at 42% and all I can say is this book is terribly written. There is no cohesion in thought let alone in the plot. I have no idea how the characters feel or how their situation is getting to each point. Also, I’m starting to think this might be a clean book which would make this worse than it already is. Clean only works for well written stories that have likable characters and interesting plots. Not a crappily written story like this one that needs all the gimmicks it can get to make it worth a penny of the readers money or a second of anyone’s time.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

UPDATE

Yep, it was a clean read. Also, there is child abuse in this book. Lastly, I have no idea why the mother of the MMC did any of what she did. It makes no sense. Honestly the whole book made no sense. As I stated before, done waste your time or money.

This book was super cute. I felt it skipped in places and was a little rushed at times but overall I liked the story.
I loved the babies. Tanner and Daphne were legit the cutest. And I loved how April pretty much just adopted them on site. She easily referred to them as her babies and it warmed my heart.
Jason was really cute with them as well as April too. A bit overprotective and possessive but not in a bad way.
The story definitely has some turns and I didn’t expect it to get quite so dramatic towards the end. I do want to read more about April and Jason as well as the twins. I also want to know more about Henry and his story.

So I started reading this book and honestly I couldn’t put it down and I have quite enjoyed; I finished it the same day I started.
I was slightly disappointed in a few things such as details/information being vague in a way and this author needs a good editor to be honest. I think my biggest disappointment is there’s no second book I WANT MORE (bonus book did not help lol! Just made me want to read even more) I am completely invested in April, Jason and the twins and want to know more. I also want to know more about Harry and this story as a future dad and what happens there. I would love to see a second book!

I liked this a lot! The premise was interesting, the overall book very funny. I think the author has really good potential but she NEEDS an editor like urgently. The transitions were awful, at some point I thought I was missing pages but then I figured it was lack of editing. I hope someone please help her edit this book and future books because I think she has talent but it is a bit on the rough now.

I only got through a quarter of the book. I found the transitions between Scene's poor (in the audio version) I also did not like the characters. I think the story has potential it just needs a closer look.

I don't get home she can forgive him so easily after the things he was doing. ie acting all caveman without ever stating his feelings.

I hope the author continues to grow and develop as a writer.

More twist than you can poke a stick at

Well that was one well woven story. There were so many twists and turns it was hard to work out who the bad guys were. But wow what a story. It hit all the right places and tore at the heart strings in the process. But they were such a cute couple you just wanted them to have their HEA. Enjoy

The book is very good for a new author coming over from Wattpad. The only thing that stopped me from giving it five stars was that I wish the book was a little more detailed. The book has very nice wording and ideas but I do wish that she made the book a little longer. I think spending a little more time on conflicts and relationships of characters would make this book even more amazing.

The only reason I finished it was because I received a copy of the audio to review. The premise of the story wasn’t horrible. It just wasn’t executed super well. There were a few chapter transitions that weren’t very smooth. One section that was from the POV of a character that wasn’t identified. I didn’t realize who it was supposed to be until the end of the scene.

"Played" this book on Chapters, but being a true reader, once I realized it was an actual book, I had to indulge. The book ended like "nooooooooo". There must be more. Would like to read Harry's story.
