O retorno do Governador do Submundo Hades!
I read it in Spanish, okay? Anyways, I freaking loved it, Alone is MY baby, Yuzuriha is my girlfriend, Yato is a dumbass and Tenma just wants to kill Hades.
I didn’t buy this manga but my brother actually bought the complete manga collection of the saga, therefore he lent me this volume to be able of reading it. My brother bought the Spanish translated version but I am choosing the English edition to make the review easier to work and to avoid having to do a bilingual review. I apologize in advance if I’d mispronounce some name or term on English since I am actually reading the books on Spanish.
This manga volume collects “Saint Seiya – The Lost Canvas” chapters #7-15.

THE LOST CANVAS CONTINUES
In this second volume, three Silver Saints report to Athena and the Patriarch (the máximum authority in the Sanctuary only second to Athena) but soon enough is revealed that they were corrupted and manipulated to attack Athena but the intervention of Libra Dohko and Aries Shion (two Gold Saints) avoid that Athena would get any harm.
Athena and the Patriarch command Dohko and Shion to take a squadron of Silver and Bronze Saints to go to Italy and investigate the region where those three Silver Saints were corrupted…
…and it’s no wonder that the region is where Tenma’s village was located.
In the first volume (and while I watched the anime adaptation) I didn’t get that Athena and Alone were siblings, they talked each other as brother and sister but I thought that it was just a way to show closeness but it seems that they were indeed genetically related (at least the human hosts that they have in this generation). Athena is younger sister to Alone, while Tenma is best friend of both.
Dohko and Shion take the group of Silver and Bronze Saints (where obviously Pegasus Tenma was selected for the mission, but also there is Unicorn Yato (a fellow Bronze saint that he was training at the same time with Tenma (they aren’t in the best of terms)) to the village but they’re shocked, specially Tenma, that the village was destroyed and there isn’t found any single person alive…
…but Alone who is revealed himself as Hades and the culprit for the destruction of the villager and its inhabitants.
Alone started a portrait of Tenma before he left to train for being a saint knight, and now Alone explains Tenma that he finally is able to finish the eyes in the portrait since he found the true color for them (since awhile, anything that Alone paints diez) and as soon he finishes the portrait…
…Pegasus Tenma dies!!!
End of story…
…no! I’m kiddin’!
Well, Tenma indeed dies, or at least his soul certainly goes to the underworld but he isn’t totally dead due the protection of the leash of flowers that Athena made for him, but the clock is tickin’ and he will die as soon as the leash would start to lose its flowers…
…Dohko and Shion thought that Tenma was dead and Yato missed in action and they return to the Sanctuary to report…
…but Unicorn Yato wasn’t dead and he found Tenma’s body, just in time to be teleported by Yuzuriha, a female warrior from the land of Jamir (where the saints’ armors are repaired) and an old man explains to Yato that he needs to go to the underworld to save Tenma’s soul.
The old man made an enchantment and he sends Yato and Yuzuriha for the mission.
