This was so disappointing. :(

I expected to gain some more information and background on the characters of the various movies but that did not really happen. With every character, we get told the same story (of the movie) again and again. Some descriptions felt like they've just been copy & pasted from another character and just the names had been switched out. :( To end, I just skimmed everything. :(

The only new (to me) information we got, was the little box with information how that character fared in the comics. :(

This would have been an AMAZING MCU reference guide if it had been 1. Larger, very slim and missing tons of people, plus the reference for each person is little more than a paragraph; 2. Up to date. This basically became obsolete the day it was published (unless there is a volume 2 in the works).

This stops at Thor: Dark World which means it only includes one Avengers film and one Captain America, plus no Black Panther.

Looking on Amazon there appear to be four other MCU guidebooks. Why are there so many, you ask?!? Because this one is tiny. 😒 I think the publisher should have waited just a tiny bit longer to fit more films into this book. This cam put in April, ‘It’s all connected’ came out the following Jan, ‘The good the bad and the Guardians’ came out Dec the same year, and the big Omnibus comes out in Oct. WTF should have waited for the Omnibus which apparently has some Infinity and BP, etc. and CIVIL WAR!
