Absolutely loved this book! Such an enjoyable, friendly story that FS and KS1 children would adore. Luna and Logan are the cutest rabbits! Found myself really getting lost in the stunning illustrations, so much colour and joy coming from them. The facial expressions on all the animals were fantastic, Nicola Kinnear captures it so well.

Logan stays at his house. His friend, Luna, urges him to come outside with her and have adventures, but Logan is too scared. Luna gets frustrated with Logan and stomps off. Finally, Logan decides to do as Luna has suggested and be "a little bit brave." And so he goes outside. And what adventures he has.

Een klein beetje dapper
Het konijntje is bang om naar buiten te gaan. Zijn vriendinnetje niet. Nu wil hij haar zoeken maar daarvoor moet hij wel naar buiten. Op avontuur. Hij beleefd de wildste avonturen en vindt het geweldig.
Echt prachtig geïllustreerd! Mooi herfstboekje.

Logan is afraid to go outside. His best friend Luna is forever encouraging him to leave his den and go outside. One day Luna tells Logan that she's had enough and that he must come outside with her. He says no, and that he's afraid. She gets mad and leaves. Logan feels bad for making Luna angry. He tries to calm himself down by performing normal everyday tasks. But eventually he feels he must go after her. Of course he meets new critters and has grand adventures, not the least of which is rescuing Luna from a wolf!
A darling story about bravery. Here's my problem: in this age of consent and compassion, when a person says "no" and "I'm scared", we should NOT be pushing or forcing them in any way.

Excellent book to use in any year group, this happened to be used in year six and the children loved it. They enjoyed the three main characters and enjoyed the story. Can be used as an excellent opening to a cooking lesson, or PSHE about bravery/courage.

Tarina pupusta jota suuri maailma (TM) pelottaa, mutta kun sen kaveri lähtee seikkailemaan, niin pupu syö pelkonsa ja uskaltautuu ulos eikä se seikkaileminen ole ollenkaan hassumpaa. Plussaa, jos mielestäsi rohkea seikkailu on tavoittelemisen arvoinen päämäärä per se, mutta miinusta jos rauhallisen kotielämän dissaaminen alkaa nyppymään lukiessa. Keskimäärin kolmisen staraa.

Dejovo síce neprekvapivá kniha, ale spracovaná ilustrátorsky aj textovo veľmi dobre a rýchlo sa zaradila do našeho každovečerného čítania. Použila niekoľko mentálnych skratiek (síce zajko netuší, čo bude potrebovať na výlet, ale zoberie si presne tie veci, ktoré bude potrebovať), ale dá sa to prehliadnuť.

Příjemná jednohubka pro malé čtenáře, kteří se bojí světa. Našel jsem si v ní i něco pro sebe a své strachy z létání. Pěkné ilustrace příběh hezky doplňují. Líbí se mi, že byl za hlavní postavu zvolen králíček, ti jsou totiž skutečně největší strašpytlíčci.

This is a very good story. It is sweet, fun and has a nice message. The little rabbit named Logan is a homebody and his friend Luna tries to get him out of the house so they can go on adventures. When Luna takes off, Logan has to go search for her in the woods. He runs into trouble but he is braver than he knows. Very nice illustrations. Kids will love this one. Highly recommended for Grades K-2.

Both the illustrations and words were packed full of charm. I absolutely adored this book from start to finish, and took my time admiring all the artwork. I very much look forward to any future picture books from Nicola Kinnear – this is a stunning debut!

I loved the illustrations best. Poor wolf had to be evil again (tropes abound), but fortunately was tamed by cookies! Though the hawk, which would normally be a predator (?) was available for a bunny ride? All I could think was "straighten up and fly right."
Cute message, and I would say the rabbit was more than a little bit brave by the end of the story.

Leo-pupu oli vähän kuin Aaro arka orava. Ei oikein uskaltanut tai ainakaan halunnut uskaltaa ensin mitään, mutta sitten kun ulos uskalsi, olihan valmis seikkailuun. Hienot vauhtikuvat.

I like the book because Logan tries to be brave for his friend and even though he is scared he went to explore the world. I liked Logan because he overcomes his fear in the end. I also loved the illustrations because they are very colorful and felt very real.
Premise of the book:
Logan and Luna are two bunnies who are best friends. Luna is the daring one, always ready for an adventure whereas Logan is a stay at home bunny. He is scared and doesn't like to step outside his cozy home. But one day Luna gets angry with him for not coming out and goes away on an adventure all by herself. Logan feels guilty and wants to make up with her and for that he has to step outside. The story is about his search for Luna and how on the journey he finds himself and his strength.
Learnings from the book:
The book is about friendship but it is also about overcoming fear to find your true self. It is about trying out new things and then deciding whether it is worth it or not. It is about being brave in the true face of adversity. It is about truly finding happiness when you have someone to share it with.
The book is a cute read and with it's beautiful illustrations it will give the message of friendship and courage in a sweet way.

Beyaz Balina Yayınları'nın organik kitaplar serisindeki "Küçük Ağaç kitabı gibi bu kitap da aslında çocuklara cesaret aşılamak için yazılmış güzel bir kitap. Orijinal dildeki Luna ve Logan adlı Tavşanlar Hopi ve Popi olarak çevrilmiş. Hopi evde vakit geçirmeyi seven ama Popi ise maceraperest bir tavşan. Günün birince Popi Hopi'ye 'çok sıkıcısın' diyerek dışarı çıkıp gittiğinde iş başa düşüyor ve Hopi dışarı çıkmak zorunda kalıyor. Dışarıdaki dünyanın sandığı kadar da korkutucu olmadığı görüyor. Genel anlamda çocuklar için tatlı bir ufuk açıcı bir kitap ama tıpkı Küçük Ağaç kitabında anlatıldığı gibi aslında çocukların doğada işlerin nasıl yürüdüğü konusunda yanlış izlenimler verebilir. Mesela Küçük Ağaç kitabında yapraklarından ayrılmayan bir ağaç hatasını fark edince yapraklarını döküyor ve sonradan büyüme şansına kavuşuyor. Doğada maalesef işler böyle yürümüyor. Adapte olan hayatta kalıyor. Geri kalanlar yok oluyor. Bu kitapta da korkak tavşan cesur arkadaşını kurttan kurtarmak için ona kurabiye ikram ederek bir yol buluyor. Bir çocuk kitabı da olsa ben kitaplar da imgelem gücü yanından mantık kullanarak gerekirse kitapların uzatılmasından yanayım. The book " A Little Bit Brave" is about a bunny who is terrified to gout outside or to go on adventures; but his friend loves to do all that kind of stuff. The friend got mad at him and so he built up the courage to go look for her, making him be brave and go on lots of adventures.
This book is a picture book, and I know this because I physically have the book with me and it shows many illustrations which helped tell the story. A multimodal novel is where the meaning behind a book is conveyed through words and pictures; and through out this story there was detailed illustrations that would portray what the story is saying which would help define the story.
I think that a good way you can use this story is for 3rd graders because it can teach them even if something seems scary it may not be as a scary as they perceived it as they just have to be a little brave to overcome that perception.
