Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author and conman. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success". Hill is a controversial figure. Accused of fraud, modern historians also doubt many of his claims, such as that he met Andrew Carnegie and that he was an attorney.
I read this book thanks to Blinkist and I am thankful for the opportunity.
The key message in these blinks:
There are 15 lessons in The Law of Success, and they’re all intertwined to serve as a sturdy backbone to a successful career. They can be used to make you a better salesperson or to set you on your way to founding a major international enterprise. Lessons on self-confidence, concentration, and enthusiasm are designed to have you overcome your fears and finally move from the idea stage to the taking action stage. These lessons are also meant to keep you thinking positive, in order to attract other positive minds and become even more effective as a cooperative unit moving toward a clear and definite goal.
Actionable advice:
Don’t let social heredity define who you are.
Social heredity is responsible for the kind of values we grow up with and are likely to pick up at an early age. The three most influential voices in the world are schools, churches, and media. Any of these three sources can instill intolerance, close-mindedness, malicious lies, and negativity that can lead you away from success and the Golden Rule. Stay attuned to accurate thinking and tolerance, and don’t let social pressure stand in the way of your success.
Found an old copy in my father's bookshelf. The title didn't suggest me tasty ride, but I ended up reading it anyway as I was jobless.
To be honest, I found this somewhat restating the obvious in the technical things the book is presenting. But again, these kind of non-fictions are not my cup of tea, and it is fairly obvious I find it boring. Nevertheless, I ended up reading it till the end, and giving it a four star rating, due to its fascinating presentation of illustrations.
The author had presented many examples for the facts he is presenting, and many of them are vary fascinating and inspiring, and that made the book a valuable book of presenting the magnitude of persoanl power he has seen in his inspiring career( whatever is was).
I just googled who the author is, and it turns out he is a master in personal-success, and what I was reading is a part of a world renowned work. Well, I didn't knew, but sounds about right!
Interesting book. Loved all those examples and illustrations.

I really liked this book I just want to say according to this book is-
"Success is the development of the power with which to get whatever one wants in life without interfering with the rights of others. Successful people have a "definite chief aim" with "definite plans" for the attainment of their purposes. The successful people have the habit of systematic saving of money."
An excellent book on personal Development. Listened to the revised and updated edition of Audiobook. Very much in need for all of humanity for it teaches human values which has been shortchanged in the current world environment.
Excellent book, big themes put in a dense stream of principles. The style is for studying, rather than listen and learn at the same time. It does have no stories or examples in it. Requires rereading a few times. Great content.
Self control. That's the main theme of this book, and I really appreciated the stories Napoleon Hill shared about his own moments of personal weakness that taught him valuable lessons about minding his tongue and actions against all odds. Lots of principals can be gleaned from this volume of lessons that are spot-on and awakened this reader to many areas that need improvement in my own life
