Come Cuddle Me
Eighteen-year-old Tucker naively posted a half-naked photo of himself on Pronblr and requested that someone come cuddle him for the night. He really did mean cuddling, but he didn’t mean for his friends to reblog his request since it also had his address attached.
Now his neighbor Bill is angry at him for being so stupid as a stream of strangers show up at Tucker’s door to answer his plea…whether he wants their attention or not.
Tucker needs someone to save him from himself and Bill might just be that guy. Could the dumbest mistake of Tucker’s young life actually end up being the start to a real romance?

AWWWWW *Cuddle Tucker and Story*
I know that it's short, but it's so cute !! Tucker is the clueless (and being stupidly posted his photo and address and request for cuddle online) younger guy and Bill is the gruff, big bear neighbor. When Tucker finds out that Bill is not straight, well, it all leads to fun discovery of sex -- but it doesn't take over the story, and there is no penetration (sweet!). I love it!! Total adorable-ness (is that a word? *grin*) and perfect cuddle!

Plot is pretty much all in the blurb, it's a short coffee-break read so no time for anything deeper. Sometimes though a bit of fluff is exactly what you're after. Read with zero expectations it made me smile.

4.5 stars. Cute, cute, cute. Tucker does something really stupid on the internet, and his neighbor Bill steps in to rescue him. Bill is a big, muscular, furry bear of a man, and his protectiveness over virgin twink Tucker is just so adorable. My only complaint is that this is very short. There are not nearly enough characters like Bill in m/m romance, but I'll take what I can get.

3.5 cuddly stars
This story gave me such a warm and mushy heart feeling that I don't care that Tucker reminded me a lot of a TSTL heroine in M/F.
Just a great little feel-good read for in between that could have been a bit longer.

Probably more like a 2.75 stars.
What a great setup! Tucker is lonely and depressed, in his bare apartment after being kicked out of his parent's home for being gay. When he posts a message and photo asking someone to come and cuddle him with his address, he thought it would only go to his two friends. He realizes, faced with his straight and hot bearish neighbor's stern warning, that it was reflagged to over a hundred people. Then, the men start showing up.
Tucker needs a big bear to protect him, from what could very easily be a scary situation. And Bill is perfect for the job -- if Tucker can get Bill to notice him the way he can't stop starting at all those muscles and curly chest hair.
I'm a big fan of Missy Welsh's writing, and even though I didn't quite connect with this story, I'm still a fan. She writes characters that you don't usually forget, and I really liked these. While I may have felt like Tucker was TSTL, that really comes from the feeling that I didn't get to know him very well, as much as I would have liked to, or to understand exactly why he's so naive. We very easily see that he's lonely and why, but that doesn't equate naivete, so I felt a disconnect in his character. Besides, I never quite understood the premise. Why did he post his address? Maybe I missed something, but I never understood exactly who his friends were. So it made him seem a little stupid, even though he's cute as a button! I like Bill quite a bit, but then I'm partial to cuddly, burly bears like him myself. Bill adds a maturity to the situation, and is a very considerate potential suitor.
While what is offered was enjoyable to read and super cute, I still felt like it was the prelude to the real story, and as such didn't quite draw me in. The pace is quick, in the prose and the plot, and I would have preferred a bit more story, as well as a bit more characterization, which isn't a terrible thing. If there is a sequel with these guys, I'll snatch it up to read more. But, as a complete offering in this package, it felt a little thin to me. So, I can only give this one a So So. I want more, but I'm not really that satisfied either.

Review Summary: A stereotypical het romance disguised as m/m.
Review: I love Missy Welsh and I thought the premise of this book sounded sweet, so I was intrigued. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. Instead, it was basically the story I hated to read in het romance and the reason I read so few of them anymore. Stupid, helpless, weak character (nope, not describing the heroine, the character in question is a young twink) rescued by big, strong, manly he-man. He-Man rescues Twinky from a Fate Worse Than Death, afterwards they have the hottest, bestest sex ever, and then they live happily ever after.
There's not really much more to say about this story. Tucker was so obviously looking for someone, anyone, and Bill happened along. It's less clear what Bill saw in Tucker, other than a hot young ass. That would be sufficient for a night, maybe even three, but supposedly Bill wants a long-term relationship too, and I just couldn't figure out why. They spend one night together and suddenly they're planning a future together.
I know it's a short story, but that's not really a good excuse. I've read other shorts by this author that I thought were solid, complete stories. And I loved, loved My Summer of Wes and have been eagerly awaiting the sequel. Unfortunately, this story had very little in common with those. Unless you want to read a traditional het romance disguised as m/m, I'd recommend skipping this one.

Lmao this is actually quite creative way to set up a story. It is as well really really cute. A nice coffee-break long read. Bill is an actually adorable character and Tucker is plain anxious. Love that.

Great short story. Tucker makes a huge, stupid mistake and needs rescuing. I liked that Bill didn't just sit by and let Tucker deal with the fallout. There are sparks between these two and just gets hotter.

I like stories that just start and this one does. You're plunked down right at the first time that Tucker inadvertently did something dumb and now has oodles of unwanted attention. And then in comes Bill. Thing is that Tucker needs Bill (obviously) but Bill, who loves hard and passionately, needs a guy who will let him be himself and Tucker is that guy. I adored it.

Very short - not really worth the £1.85 it costs UK side for twenty pages. But it was sweet. But I do feel a bit ripped off. Hence 2.75 stars. Tucker's an idiot, his friends are idiots and Bill's a bear. That's essentially it. It's nice...but expensive.

Cute read, but it was just too short, and lacked the substance it should have had. I think I would have really enjoyed a story between these two if there was more to it.

Cute story about the lead being a bit dense and posting a pic of himself online and inviting cuddles/hugs and then his friends re-post outside his social media account. The knocking then begins at his door. His neighbor (who is finds attractive) comes to the rescue scolds him for not thinking things through.
It was a cute read and i can't complain with how things went. Though Tucker can be a bit thoughtless and it's not an adorable trait.

That was nice. A gentle bear taking the virginity of a naive young twink. Nothing at all unusual, but a nice filler nonetheless.
The social media shenanigans seemed a bit moralizing. Someone should have been a lot more angry with Tucker's friends, who apparently shared his address and picture with the whole damn internet.

I wanted a short hot read but I didn't want to lose any sweetness. With this one I got both and a bear....sigh. Props to Missy Welsh. She packed a sweet sexy romance with some drama in a tiny package. Not only that. The flow was so good that you get carried along.

Short and sweet. Tucker was utterly clueless but adorable. Bill was in the right place at the right time. These two just worked. If this had been a full length book, I would have read that too. A quick insta-love story that was fairly enjoyable.

This cute and sexy short story had me chuckling all the way through, and the deft prose was a real pleasure to read.
Missy Welsh opens this story right in the middle of the action, with Bill at Tucker's door, asking him "what the hell is wrong with you?" We discover, along with Tucker, that his plea for a cuddle to the only two friends who follow him on Pronblr (a fictionalised Tumblr, I believe) has been reblogged. Tucker had only intended it as a way to let his friends know his new address and that he's lonely in his new city, but they reblogged it without considering the consequences.
Luckily for Tucker, his neighbour understands exactly what's likely to happen to a naive and attractive young man who posts a half-naked picture of himself online with a plea for a cuddle--especially when that picture is shared among people who normally exchange gay porn. He takes charge and demands Tucker pack what he needs for a few days, and meanwhile sees off the first few callers at Tucker's door.
Bill is a great character. Older, larger and hairier, he's exactly the sort of "gigantic, furry body builder from hell" the virginal Tucker finds attractive. And while he comes in angry and dominant, there's a sweetness about him that quickly becomes apparent. He's disappointed that Tucker hadn't come to him asking where to meet people, and puts Tucker straight on the issue of his sexuality: Bill might not flame, but he is most definitely gay. Bill also happens to give the best cuddles, as we later find out.
I was tickled by the no nonsense way Bill deals with the callers, telling them all that Tucker is "taken", and then pinning this note on the door:
This story is limited to just a short time the first evening and then a lazy morning in Bill's bed the next day, but this works really well. We don't get a chance to know much about the lives of the two characters, and I was disappointed we didn't find out why Tucker's friends did something so inconsiderate, but there was enough here for me to warm to both Tucker and Bill, and really enjoy watching them connect. The ending was particularly satisfying, hitting just the right note to convince me they had a great future together, without anyone making premature use of the L word. What's more, the writing style is lively and full of character, making me realise I need to go out and buy Missy Welsh's back catalogue.
I can heartily recommend Come Cuddle Me to anyone who fancies a light and amusing, warmhearted and sexy quick read. It's definitely earned itself a permanent place on my comfort reads shelf.

Why oh why isn’t Come Cuddle Me a full length novel? I loved the characters and the fun and unique premise of the story, but hated that it was so short and ended just when I really started craving more!
Tucker is new is town and lonely. He’s only twenty and apparently has a tendency to not always think things through. He posts a picture of him on Pronblr stating he’s lonely and would like someone to come cuddle him. Tucker doesn’t think much about it because he only has two friends he’s posted it to. Unfortunately for him, both friends shared his post and now over a hundred others have seen it.
Tucker’s not even aware of this until his sexy next door neighbor, Bill, comes to tell him he’s not only seen the post, but is afraid that Tucker is now in grave danger of being harmed by the unless amount of stranger willing to take him up on his offer. Bill immediately takes Tucker under his wing and tells him he can stay with him until the whole thing blows over. As they two men hang around each other, sparks of attraction fly between them and both Bill and Tucker end up having something worth fighting for.
I really liked this short story a lot. I liked both the naïve and young Tucker and Bill is very sexy and protective of him. Unfortunately, we don’t get to learn about either of them. To me, it read more like a set up for a longer story (I hope) and although I really enjoyed the banter and chemistry between them, I really ended up longing for more. In the end it ended up being a really fun, flirty and sexy read that I really enjoyed.
I’ve read several books by Ms. Welch and I’ve loved every one of them. She has a knack of writing interesting, sexy and unique characters that is easy to like. I also appreciate her ability to draw her readers in with her snappy dialog and fast-paced storytelling skills. If you are looking for a quick, steamy and sexy read, Come Cuddle Me will definitely give you everything you’re looking for and get you craving for more. I’m looking forward to reading more books by Ms. Welch and will definitely be looking for her works in the future.
