This is THE biggest whistleblower book ever written. The author was abused for 30 years, until she was rescued by a good man. They then spent another 13 years trying to rescue Cathy's daughter from the same clutches that held her for so long.
This is actually the second book that Cathy wrote. The first one, TRANCE, is a collection of documents that were used at court, and although that book was read by millions of people, it didn't answer a lot of questions like "how did Cathy even recover?" This book answers those questions.
And it's an amazing story. And incredible horrible story about what really goes on with the "criminal justice system" and politics. All those behind-the-scenes things you never wanted to know are explained in this book.
It ought to be mandatory reading for everyone in the world, if only so that people can be aware of manipulation. Cathy O'Brien's story is just incredible and blew me away.

It's scary to think that any part of this maybe true. Imagine that it may be and then think of the names involved. These two government whistleblowers reveal that some of the "leaders" of our nation are morally corrupt and support the C.I.A. in using its aircraft to run drugs and engage in human trafficking the profits from which are used to self fund other covert programs. The C.I.A. through the MK Ultra projects did many unspeakable things to innocents including the development of mind control techniques using extreme trauma.
Disassociative Personality Disorder (formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder) is known to be caused by extreme childhood trauma. Only the psychopaths of the C.I.A. and the New World Order (along with Hitler's SS) would seize upon this phenomenon and weaponize it to create Super Soldiers and Mind Controlled Slaves (think "The Manchurian Candidate" movie). The government collects children from orphanages or buys them from their parents, as in the case of this book's co-author, and tortures them using satanic rituals and extreme sexual abuse in order to fragment their minds into separate their "personalities".
My worst imagination could not conjure up this stuff. Which, in my mind, gives it added credibility. No moral human being would even think to do these things. These mind control victims once programmed are used as sex slaves, are sent on covert espionage missions, drug & human trafficking operations, and to communicate messages between principals within the government/criminal cabal. Because each of the victim's different personalities does not "know about" the others, the criminal psychopaths in charge of these programs believe that their secrets will remain safe. Words, hand signals, and tones played over the telephone are used to "trigger" a selected personality and possibly invoke a pre-selected program (such as suicide).
The miracle of this book came about when a former C.I.A. operative (Mark Phillips) who was familiar with the C.I.A. MK Ultra programs and their horrendous mind technology encountered a pair of victims of that technology (Cathy O'Brien & her daughter Kelly). Mark rescued Cathy, Kelly, and their animals and took them to safety in Alaska. Then, while avoiding the pitfalls of traditional "deprogramming" efforts and avoiding the currently misguided approach taken by most psychologists toward these victims, Mark was able to re-enable Cathy's rational thinking processes and she was able to reintegrate her personalities and remember all the atrocities performed on her, her daughter, and others.
This is an important book to get the word out about the dark underside of our secret government and its operations AGAINST the people of this country. Mark & Cathy have avoided countless attempts on their lives while they have traveled around the country creating awareness and helping mental professionals treat other victims of this abuse. Their efforts to help Cathy's own daughter have been stymied by the cloak of National Security, thus the title of the book "Access Denied".

The binding on this book fell apart while I was reading it, and we were camping, so the pages kept blowing all over the place and I was running around trying to pick them up.

O'Brien and Phillips' 2004 follow-up to their 1995 classic "Trance". First thing: *Do not read "Access Denied" before reading "Trance".
Access Denied is something like a "behind the scenes" story of "Trance", fleshing it out, filling in some blanks, and answering some questions left by "Trance". Whereas "Trance" is practically required reading for those interesting in mind control and "deep politics", "Access Denied" is for those interested in Cathy O'Brien and Mark Phillips, and how "Trance" came to be.
The writing appears heartfelt, but often repetitive and a little preachy. Despite its flaws, and its clear differences from "Trance", "Access Denied" provides valuable insight for the reader who's read "Trance" and wants to know more background.

The conversations Mark and Cathy supposedly had were looooong monolouges. Found some discrepancies between this and Trance. 1. Cathy supposedly doesn't know how to cook, can't boil water in this book. In Trance, she cooked her husband a "big greasy breakfast". 2. Kelly singing "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" as the feds removed the children from the group home. How did she even have any point of reference for that song and/or its implications and relevance to what was happening to them? And Mark...I got so sick of hearing about this demi god Cathy has made him out to be. Is there anything he can't do? Every few paragraphs, it seemed there was a "Mark is the Greatest_____" plug the reader had to endure. ugh

This is a true account of Cathy O' Brien's life as an ML ultra mind controlled spy and sex slave and how she got free and recovered her photographic memories of major players in our government . She and Mark Phillips became whistle blowers who are traveling around sharing their story while trying to save Cathy' a teen age daughter from the FBI and CIA . The info in it is priceless and will stretch your beliefs into new possibilities! I appreciate her courage and beautiful open heart and soulfulness! This book is an awakening experience!

Prepare to be highly disturbed
Eye opening to the level of immoral unethical behavior of our so called leaders of our country. Lord have mercy. We deserve no blessings for their behavior and deception and immorality. Thankful for Cathy's testimony or this may have been hidden.

Not as gripping or eye-opening as I had expected. I haven't read Trance yet. I learned a few things, but this felt more like a first memoir where the author forced some dialogue to make it more readable. I would have preferred just straight descriptions rather than using dialogue to describe spiritual and philosophical insights. Good for beginning researchers who are just discovering MK Ultra and mind control.
I was surprised that even in those baby Bush days, people were feeling so divided in the same ways we are today. But it is way more intensely divided today for sure.
