Lacking depth

I have used hydrogen peroxide for a variety of applications over my lifetime, it has always been a staple in my mother's medicine cabinet. However, I have heard conflicting opinions from various medical personnel about the effectiveness and safety of hydrogen peroxide. I had hoped to finally find some clear, science-based, information about the subject matter.

While some of the tips and tricks were interesting, this book lacked any substantial depth. A more in-depth exploration of the chemistry and history would be good. I would also like to know the whys, why does it work the way it does? Why do some doctors scorn it's use? Why are some people afraid of it?
