Priest, the first immortal, has lived through countless wars, served dozens of rulers, and extinguished tens of thousands of lives over his centuries on earth. But with the Family’s confidence in his leadership shaken by recent events, and pieces of his troubling past resurfacing, Priest finds his back up against a wall.
Saint has spent centuries safeguarding Priest's unscrupulous decisions, but in an instant, everything comes to light. Fate, it seems, is gazing down from above, mocking the very idea that secrets can remain hidden.
For the first time, Priest and Saint are losing control of the Family, and it feels as though nothing can protect them from the inevitable end to their reign.
Journey back through centuries of history to uncover the mysterious origins of the Family's immortality in this engrossing conclusion to The Plagued Trilogy.
Kari is a romance, historical fiction, and fantasy author. She was inspired to write after moving to the colorful and energetic city of New York. She and her husband now live in France and spend as much time as possible traveling across Europe. Kari's passion for creating art was developed from the time she was a child. Her artistic endeavors have ranged from music composition to photography to fashion design, but writing novels is far and away her favorite artistic outlet. She can often be found wrapped up in her favorite blanket, writing her next novel with a cup of hot tea in hand. Kari is also a professional wedding photographer with her husband at Cottonwood Studios.
Plague is a fitting end to an interesting adventure centered around a family of immortals. Traveling even farther back into the past, Kari explores the start of the family of immortals and the decisions that led them to where Ghost leaves off. The author once again twists history and fiction into a credible new history where the immortals play an important role in shaping the world, while also explaining the costs and motivations of these decisions on the characters involved. I've enjoyed each book in this series and would recommend them to readers with an interest in fantasy or historical fiction works.
