I am a Legend. Born to fight Death itself. Sworn to act as Zeus’ thunderbolt against the darkness.
And now I’m mortal. Despite having Apollo, Poseidon, and Ares by my side I lost. I don’t have any second chances. Ares trained me to be a stronger warrior, Poseidon taught me to be the wisest leader, and Apollo showed me passion to be a glorious champion.
Each of them has entrusted me with their hearts, and I have given them mine as well. And it's still not enough. I need to convince Hades, Ruler of the Underworld, to help me. With his aid we stand the smallest chance, the slimmest of hopes. He’s one hot mess of a God and the closer we get the further he pulls away, and the more it tears me apart.
But I need to win him to my side, to our side, and make this brooding loner deity a team player too.
Can I even trust Hades with my heart, when I have already lost my soul to something darker?
Hades is Mine is book 4 in the Rise Of Hades series.
Mila Young tackles everything with the zeal and bravado of the fairytale heroes she grew up reading about. She slays monsters, real and imaginary, like there's no tomorrow. By day she rocks a keyboard as a marketing extraordinaire. At night she battles with her mighty pen-sword, creating fairytale retellings, and sexy ever after tales.
I read all 4 in Rise of Hades, and being someone who loved Greek mythology I was loving these stories and struggles. Love the fight of Elyssa and strength that grows through training with Hercules (yes that one) and having so many twists with Ares, Poseidon, Apollo and yes Hades against the villain X. Without spoiling I will say through the majority of the books was not liking Hades, he was being an a$$ and wanted Elyssa to walk away, but it’s just like that one guy that is bad for you but just cannot seem to stay away from.
It was a very interesting set, and everything pulled together and loved getting a glimpse into their world.
2.5 Stars I really struggled with this book, making it another page was hard lol. After four books of the same (relationship drama and fighting X) once the climax came I was beyond underwhelmed and even more disappointed. Overall there was really no story. This book has sex in abundance and Hades yet again is a sad excuse for the God of the Underworld. After 3 1/4 books and witnessing Elyse on the cusp of her final death, the asshat finally comes to his senses and admits his feelings. Ugh this was just so disappointing and I was over this immortal God woe is me act after book two. The final battle with X was once again disappointing, there was no thrill-no buildup, just another come to Jesus (Zeus) moment and down X goes. I don’t get it, I had such high hopes for this series and overall it really let me down. I’m fascinated with ancient history especially Greek Gods, however even that aspect wasn’t appealing. The Gods themselves having lived a millennia are honestly broken, they just don’t work right in the head lol. They like humans never learn from their mistakes or the past. They bicker like toddlers and behave like hormonal teenagers. It was exhausting all the immature push and pull particularly between Hades and Elyse. I swear I was so over him in this book by the time he came to his senses I was hoping she’d stab him in the dick. Nothing really happened until 70% when everything culminates and surprise surprise Elyse is a demigod. Once again I’m bored, that wasn’t all that hard to guess and it was just a let down for me. Even Elyse pissed me off. While physically this girl is a badass no question about it, emotionally and mentally she’s a gosh darn mess. Her doormat behavior when it came to hades really pissed me off. It’s like one of these Gods are in her vicinity and she loses all damn sense, it was sad to watch because I wanted her to be stronger. Realize her worth without them or some shit but damn if she too didn’t let me down. I dunno if it’s not obvious I didn’t really enjoy this. Each book was more of the same and aside from their dating and her fighting X, there is literally no other storyline. I tried 🤷🏼♀️

Hades Is Mine is the final book in Mila Young’s Gods and Monsters series, and what an perfect ending to the series this is.
Elyse and Hades are still dancing around one and other, Apollo has been sent back to Mount Olympus by Zeus, and with three gods still by her side she needs to defeat X. Lucky she still has Heracles to train her. Then there’s Poseidon and Ares to provide the love that she craves and support against X.
Will X win and take Elyse’s final life and last breath? Will her gods be able to save her or even attempt to help her? Will Elyse be able to defeat X in a final battle? Will Hades finally wake up to himself, or will he lose the only person he could love? Will there be more sexy times with hot gods? Well that I can answer - hell yes!!!
I absolutely loved this series, and if you want to know how this story ends, you’ll need to read Hades is Mine (don’t forget to read the other books first). I highly recommend this entire series.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Young did one fantastic job at finishing off this wonderful series!! Elyse really comes into herself during this book and we get a few more surprises before it is all said and done as well. While she is growing Hades has to deal with his own issues which everyone else is more then happy to point out to him. i have to say I really wanted to hit him a few times before it was all over. I was eager to see how they dealt with X which was more awesome then I was expecting. Truly a fantastic book that does true justice to the entire series giving us finale that will in love and satisfied. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
So it turns out that Elyse has the blood of Zeus and is a goddess but she had to work it out to unlock the powers, and it was only when she had these powers that she could finally defeat X. This story had good parts and poor parts. All encounters with x even when the gods were by her side ended very badly yet as soon as she works out shes a goddess she can defeat him in an instant all by herself?

Here we are at the end of yet another series. I’m sad like I usually am, but I do admit this was a great send off to the series. Hades finally comes around after much heartache and pain. The end was a little surprise, but to be honest not much of one; I maybe saw it coming a little, and I was glad it did happen. All in all, this was a great wrap up book to an excellent series. If you love this series, you’ll love this series ender. If you haven’t tried this series, and if you love RH, do give this a try! I recommend this book especially to those who love RH!
*** Read in Kindle Unlimited *** Omg this is the epic ending to the Gods and Monsters series and so many things that I did not expect to happen! I was so happy to see that Hades finally came around after all the heartache and pain that both him and Elyse had been through.
Since this is the last book and I read the books back to back, I thought I'd do a series review. Hades is Mine saved the series from being less than 3 stars for me. See below for details.
Overall: 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐ Steam: 2/5 🔥🔥 Feels: ⚔️💪🤔😒🙄😠😑🙂
~REVIEW🖋~ The Quick and Dirty: Elyse is a human with some special powers and is the guardian of the human race (as were her family members before her). She trains in order to defeat demons and monsters but when death himself is released from the Underworld and no one, not even Hades, is able to take him down, Elyse has to dig deep to find who she truly is before the entire city is consumed. Along the way, she gets help from and falls in love with 4 different Greek gods: Apollo, Poseidon, Ares and finally Hades.
I really wanted to like this series. Truly. Especially because I love all things Greek mythology, but alas it didn't quite do the trick. The final half of the last book saved the series from getting a 2 star from me. Here's why:
- Elyse is the youngest and only survivor of the Lowe family, a family line that is imbued with Zeus' power in order to fight off demons and monsters in order to protect the human race. Cool. She's a bad ass, I dig that. Except, her communication skills suck (she could have resolved so many issues by simply taking a second to breathe before speaking), she's super stubborn (not in a good way) and she has a gigantic chip on her shoulder. Her overcompensation for her lack of confidence in her abilities really irked me. I had such a hard time connecting with her and it wasn't until toward the end when she finally realized what she was that she chilled the heck out and became someone who I would want to read about.
- Her best friend is a ****. Like I legitimately wanted to reach into the book and deck her. She was a judgmental, gossipy harpy and I absolutely loathed her character. Even at the end she was super pushy, and time and time again Elyse puts up with her crappy behavior. I loved Persephone though - more Persephone, less Catina!
- Hades is a ****. And again, Elyse puts up with it. It was a series of several hit and runs, wherein they would sleep together, he would do or say something to intentionally insult and hurt her, then she'd end up taking him back just for him to do it all over again. And then when they finally reconnect toward the end, it's very much so a "oh, my bad, I was only an asshole because I was trying to protect you from me." And she's all "Um, I'm not sure... just kidding, I forgive you." Yeah, no. You deserve better! Dude is a d*****. He did a complete 180 after that little speech so there's that, but still. I'm not one to quickly forgive that type of behavior, nor am I forgiving of women who tolerate that kind of bull.
- After all that lead up with four different gods to play with, the final scene with all of them together sexually is tepid. The individual scenes were good but as a RH novel, you kind of expect there to be some hot group action and it ended up just being meh.
You're probably wondering why I bothered to continue reading it if I didn't like the first book so much. First, I don't DNF books. I just... I don't know, I want to give the author the chance to fix things? In this particular case, the series was recommended and I don't think it was the author's writing style that bothered me, it was the personality of the characters. I was hoping they would evolve over time. I did, in fact see some evolution over the course of the books, but unfortunately nothing that would save it from being just a ho-hum read for me at best.

I really enjoyed the conclusion to this series. Enough to wish it wasn't really the end. Who knows, maybe we'll get a Hercules spin off (hint hint *cough cough*). I feel that I should start with the titular character, Hades. There were times when I wanted to punch him. Times his actions left me slack-jawed. Times when I rolled my eyes because, seriously dude, get over yourself. But I guess that's what happens with a well written character right? My only criticism would be that I felt his final acceptance was a bit abrupt. For a complicated man like Hades, I would have expected more hesitation at the start of his real relationship with Elyse. Ok, next. Elyse's journey from feisty warrior to ultimate weapon was very well done over the series. Being there as things changed and grew for her and the strength she discovered was very engaging. I liked her ending. I think she had achieved a good measure of peace and understanding by the end of the book. It felt complete. So, on the whole, this book was a great final chapter. I gave it four stars because there were a few editing issues and I felt like while the repetition was less, it was still too much. The romance was still hot and delicious. It was nice to see all the gods accept each other and never have an issue with sharing. I would definitely recommend the series to fans of mythology and the reverse harem sub genre.
The final installment of the Gods and Monsters series has arrived, and with it a sense of both joy and sadness. Elyse, Apollo, Poseidon, Ares, and Hades (my favorite asshole, whom I have cursed out many times for his head-in-ass syndrome) have finally gotten their HEA. All the loos ends are tied up nicely and most everyone made it through alive and relatively unscathed.
This book, as the title suggests, focuses more on Hades. Everyone, me included, has reached the end of their rope with Hades. He has time and again stepped backwards more than he has forwards and it took it's tole on Elyse. Lots of revelations for Hades in this one, and I am glad to say *spoilers* that he finally pulled his head from his ass and realized that he was loosing the woman that he had been stubbornly refusing to admit his love for. Thank the gods, except Zeus because I'm still kind of salty about him and his games *huffs*, but I digress.
I laughed, ranted, and gasped in shock. It was the perfect ending. I am also so happy that Mila will be writing more with these characters *squeals*
Elise lost the latest battle even with the help of Apollo, Poseidon, and Ares so she has no more chances left. Ares trained her to be a stronger warrior, Poseidon taught her to be a wise leader, and Apollo showed her that passion could be a glorious champion. She needs to convince Hades to help her defeat the darkness but he just keeps hiding and wallowing in terror of what might happen if he loves someone. However, if he decides to change his mind can be really be trusted? Can the darkness finally be defeated or will all be lost?
This was a dramatic ending to the series as Elise finally worked out a major secret as well as get all 4 of the gods who had her heart. Very enjoyable and loved what happened to her even though it was more than a little like pulling teeth to finally work out the mystery as to how she could defeat the darkness. It was great to see a strong woman taking control and cleaning up the evil.
I found out about this series on Facebook and thought why not give it a try. I love Greek mythology and thought these might be books I will enjoy.
Honestly I was disappointed. I got through the first 3 and thought they were okay but not the best.
The author built up towards this big battle with X and in my opinion didn't live up to the build up. Just having Elyse just end the battle the way she did was a let down.
Hades character was such an ass the whole time. But only realizes his love for Elyse after he stood there and watched her die for her "last time" and did nothing. When that was revealed I was pissed. Then he turns around and tells her how much he loves her. Like really? If you really loved her you would have stopped being an ass and stepped in.
Over all I was very disappointed in the series. Book 4 had to have been the worst for me. The idea and overall plot was okay but could have used more explanation at parts.

Hades finally gets his act together took him long enough the silly man. Elyse is now on her last life if she dies now it’s all over for her. And I can tell you she has one damn close call where she gets to choose which path she’ll take. X has grown amazingly strong and all her men are backing her up. Well all of them but Apollo but that may just change in this book. Elyse has grown so fast and strong now and all of the gods have worked out why, it is now up to Elyse to truly she herself for what she really and truly is. I will say that the ending of this book was amazing the end result was really well written, and that Elyse stays true to herself. Which is at the end of the day is why it has been her along. Sad to see this series end but it had to somewhere, I’m just happy in ended on a good note.
Hades is cocky brooding vicious, and sexy. Hades knows his effect on Elyse, and he plays with it until he can't live without her. He makes Elyse want to punch him in the face with his moodiness. Hades is misunderstood and afraid to open up, wallowing in self-doubt and fear, and he doesn't allow himself to move on.
Only Elyse can give him the love he desires and deserves. Hades is powerful and sensual, and his heart is sweet and full of love. Elyse shows them that life is too short to waste to enjoy each moment and hold on to those you love.
Hades is a wicked devil with a heart of gold, and he deserves to be loved. Elyse brings him closer to the other gods, and she makes the ice melt from his heart and find love and be loved.
A stunning addictive series. I've read many mythology romances but never one as good as this one.
Spoiler free, as always! So, in case you’re new to this particular series - this is the final book of a quartet! You absolutely must read the first three before you read this one, or you will be lost. This book picks up quite close to where the third one ends, and I have to say, this book is quite a bit more of an emotional powerhouse than the others. The author does a fabulous job of making you truly feel everything the heroine is going through, as well as interspersing other point of views into it. She also keeps it quite action oriented, focusing on the plot growth and building frustration at the villain, all leading to a glorious conclusion that satisfies! A lovely world she created, and I would love for spin-off novels to come from it!
The new take on Greek Mythology was refreshing. We see the Gods loathing their public persona as they fall in love with a Greek Hero who may die at any moment.
The plot of the series determines Elyse having 4 lives, i.e. she will not really die until she dies the 4th time. It resulted in a repetitive plot, with Elyse dying once in the first three books and almost dying in the last ones. Yes, it was safe to assume that this would happen but I was accepting more immersive action from the series.
The most consistent character was that of Heracles. Yes, the Twelve Labours Heracles. He was a mentor-cum-brother to Elyse and was the support system that never failed to appear even if he could not be of help
This last book took me through several emotions. First I want to say that I loved how Elysse evolved as a person and how her story went so she could have more time with her guys. You definitely see a difference from the Elysse of book 1. Second, Hades, Hades, Hades....to be honest he was always my fave out of 4 but I have to admit that in this book I just wanted to punch him! He was a jerk to the extreme and he and Elysse had a couple of scenes where I teared up. The pain and rage warring within....but he managed to redeem himself in my eyes and yep - he's still my fave! Loved how it wrapped up overall and highly recommend the series.
In this final book of the thrilling Gods and Monsters series, Elyse must defeat Death as he rampages through the city or die trying. All the while, her heart rests with four hunky gods who can either raise her up or break her.
This was an amazing reverse harem series, and I'm a little sad it's at an end. This book packed in even more emotion than the previous ones, especially since Hades is my favorite of Elyse's harem. I may have guessed what was coming, but the journey was more than worth it. Edge of your seat action and heart wrenching emotional roller coaster. I highly recommend this series to all lovers of paranormal romance.
Hades Is Mine is the final book in Mila Young’s Gods and Monsters series. The ending is expected, but how they get there, definitely has some unexpected elements.
Elyse and Hades are still having trouble figuring out ho to deal with each other.mainoy due to Hades being hot and cold. Posseidon and Ares are doing their best to give her the love that she deserves, and the love that shes missing from Apollo. Apollo is trying to escape Mount Olympus, where Zeus has locked him in.
X is taunting Elyse, and an encounter puts it all at risk.
I have liked this entire series. It has a good story, while adding a nice sprinkle of humor
75% of this book had me repulsed and completely hating Hades for the way he treated Elyse. I understand that he was afraid of showing his true feelings due to being hurt in the but come on! I found my heart breaking each time he treated her so poorly. However, he greatly redeemed himself at the end. I had an idea that there was more to Elyse than was being let on and finding out the truth about her made the story even better. The ending battle was epic and Elyse was a true bad ass. So glad that she got her happy ending with her men!
Man what a ride this series has been, so many ups and downs, the action, the mystery and intrigue, four hot and swoon worthy Gods and one kick@$$ MFC who will have you on the edge waiting to see what will happen next it’s definitely not one to be missed.
I love the way this series ended and that Hades finally got his act together, there were moments there that I wanted to strangle him one moment and also hug him in the next.
I'm not usually a fan of books with Gods but I loved this one, Mila was able to keep me entertained and interested throughout the whole series it’s definitely one you will want to add to your tbr.
This was the final book in the Gods and Monsters series and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed. This series was honestly a blast and cared about the consequences of that main characters actions. Most books I know don't always do this but Mila Young did it and did a fabulous job doing it. I could rave about it for a while in this review but if you want to read my full thoughts about the book, check out my blog post to see my thoughts on the book!
This book was an emotional rollercoaster!! You know it’s a good book when you get that gasping and aching feeling that you can’t wait to see what’s written on the next page! Hades needed a slap for 3 quarters of the book. It was just a brilliant ending to such a good series. Mila Young has become one of my favourite indie authors and this series has me wanting to read so much more of her work. If you love Greek Gods and you love a bit of spice and spice done well I highly recommend this series. Just brilliant!
This was the fourth book in the Gods and Monsters series. It was fantastic to read Elyse's journey and be a part of this special series. Hades was a jerk that I wanted to throttle at times, but his characters evolving was a site to behold. Poseidon, Apollo and Ares all became better, reading them all working together was definitely a thrill for me. I'm sad that the series is over but happy to have been able read this wonderful story and series.

The final story of the series and it doesn’t disappoint. Plenty of action while fighting X. X has become even more powerful and Elyse is on her last life. If she doesn’t succeed who will stop him from killing humans? Hades is definitely got some issues and likes to take it out on Elyse. I’m not sure why she puts up with the gorgeous god. Even though she puts up with him she is one amazing woman. The story readies make her a new hero. Sad to see it end but loved the adventure.
It’s perfect ending to this great series. I’m excited to see Hades in love, I mean, God of Underworld deserves some happiness too, no? And Elyse powers grown so much, Hades’s love help her to feel whole. She lost her battles, those physical as well as inner, so many times, but was able to raise after each time. Grown as a personne, iron her character. And when the final battle came... I will not spoil the book for you... just go and read it already.
I loved Apollo is Mine, Posideon is Mine and Ares is Mine, so odds were good for me to also love Hades is Mine. I loved this. It was the perfect ending. Elysse has never been a weak, boring heroine, but here she really goes through a complete journey, despair, hope, love, devastation and defeat. Mythology and reverse harem are the perfect combo in my opinion, this book and series totally delivers!
Read the series -4 books- was mwa / predictable / boring
Read till the end, wich I could predict after the second book,
Too much of the same info made the story boring. I skiped a lot in the 3 and 4 book.
Overall not very believeble. 4 spectaculair Greek Gods who decide to share 1 woman...
To much repetition of info about: - About the Lowe familie - not fitting in - training al the time - Hercules - all the Gods in the story have the same thoughts - over and over again.
A really great way to end a brilliant series. I will miss Gods and Monsters very much, especially the gods (TBH, who wouldn't miss four incredibly attractive and kind gods??) Can't believe its the end, what a journey it has been reading these. The author must be very proud of her work. I congratulate you Mila Young.
Mila did an amazing job finishing this series. The love between Eylse and her gods is wonderful. There is some sad and emotional parts in this book. I did cry a few time. Great ending for this series. I recommend this book/series *** I have Kindle Unlimited, and I used that service to read this book. ***
