Leave it to Ashleigh Giannoccaro to make my skin crawl with twisted delight. Too bad this wasn't a full-length creeper keeper. I wanted so much more twistedness. Ever ponder if you'd notice a few things rearranged when you wake up in the morning? Bahahahaha. Ever feel like someone's watching you? Well, this piece will have you second guessing yourself. I smiled from start to finish, I love stalkers.

This is the first book in the Awake Series by Ashleigh Giannoccaro. Ivy has moved to a new city to escape her psycho ex-boyfriend and she’s starting to think maybe he’s found her. She’s missing items from her house, her alarm doesn’t go off, her wine is all gone, and she’s certain she didn’t drink it. Her career is in jeopardy because of her tardiness and a report she needed for a meeting disappeared from her laptop. She mentions all this to her co-worker/best friend, Misha but she just thinks Ivy is being paranoid. Kian enters Ivy’s apartment when she’s working and then again when she’s asleep. He oils her squeaky door, fixes her toilet and the wobbly leg on her table. He reads her calendar so he knows all her plans. He loves to sit in a chair and watch her sleep while having conversations with her in his head. Luckily for him Ivy takes sleeping pills so she has no clue she’s being watched all night. Kian has insomnia and is desperate to be able to sleep or at least rest for a while but his mind won’t shut off.

Very creepy

Once I read the blurb I had to dive in. Holy cow this book is intense and utterly disturbing. Definitely a five star read

Kian is a very disturbed creepy stalker. You are actually reading what he thinks about when he is in Ivy's apartment. I don't want to say too much, but if you like You then this is right up your alley.

This story is so creepy it will make sure that you double check that you have locked your doors and windows. You won’t hear the strange ‘bump’ in the middle of the night but when articles are ‘moved’ around in your apartment and your memory is hazy you will definitely start to question yourself.

I am really enjoying the creepy vibe that this first part of a 3 novella story has. Ashleigh is an exceptional dark story teller and I’m glad that she has dipped her toes back into that genre.

Next level Stalker Status. Totally reminded me of the Netflix show YOU.
This is part 1 in a 3 part short story serial. Yes there is a cliff hanger.
I’m intrigued by the characters, I am left wanting to know more about the characters and what will happen next between them.

Wow

I am completely and totally intrigued! I will definitely read the next book. My only complaint is that is was way too short. But it had me from the first page.

It’s been awhile since I read a stalker romance. And now I’ve popped my Ashleigh Giannoccaro cherry with Awake. Kian was just the perfect guy to add to my list of creepers that I love.

Nothing says I love you like a man who enters your apartment unlawfully and watches you sleep. ❤️Sigh

Kian is obsessed with Ivy. And now that he’s integrated himself in her conscious world, it’s going to be interested to see what happens next. Can’t wait to read the next instalment.

Creepy but great!

Ok this is a quick read, but its amazing. Yes I was a little freaked out by it, but in a good way. Ash has the ability to make me nervous and making sure I can't stop reading till the end. This is just a taste of a story she has written and I will be stalking until the next one is out :)

This is a short creepy start to the Awake series. I love a stalker romance especially one where the stalker doesn’t feel bad about what he’s doing. There’s always something that intrigues me about them. Why do they do what they do? When are they going to get caught? What’s their story? Can’t wait to start the next book to see what happens next.

Have you ever had those creepy feelings you are being watched or someone has been in the room? Well maybe you were or there was someone watching your every move. Then again maybe you are single, feeling all alone and are just hoping anyone would notice you!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this series but I will say it has started off as becoming one of my favorites. Truth be told, I do love the mind of this author and the words she puts to paper.

I need more!!!

Holy moly this is a completely crazy story. Ivy feels like she’s losing her mind. Stuff is moved and wine has been drunk. Is she sleep walking? Sleep drinking? Kian has been sneaking in Ivy’s apartment at night when she sleeps. He is slowly doing things like moving stuff, changing her alarms, and fixing squeaky doors. Basically just small things but things that Ivy can’t figure out. This is definitely a cliffhanger so don’t complain about it! Book is out soon.

Oh my lord what a creepy book by Aahleigh as she kicks off her new series and boy did it keep me turning pages.

Have you ever gone to sleep to only wake up and notice something has been moved or ever have that feeling of being watched? That's how Ivy is starting to feel as she wakes up and thing's aren't where she left them the night before, but she think's it's her doing it and shrugs it off or is it?
Kian has a fascination for Ivy even though they've never met...yet. He has trouble sleeping at night so he goes to her apartment and watches her sleep...creepy right as I was reading this it kept me looking over my shoulder lol. This is just the prequel and wow what a start.

This is one book you'll want to read in this 3 book series I can't wait to find out what happens next in book 2.

This is just my opinion and my review

Book one of the Awake series and I have to admit I do enjoy stalker stories, especially ones with a darkly humorous lead who has no qualms about what he’s doing.
Ivy is the victim of Kian’s attention. He’s not new to this behaviour that’s clear but the why, we’re not told of yet....

Ivy; she’s clever but over thinks, fun but wary, wants love but second guesses everything. Many of us can relate. When a handsome man gives her attention it’s too good to be true, right? Things moving and going missing, that’s all in your head, right?

Want a read that makes you second guess if you’ve locked your door, but secretly hope you haven’t one click now!!

Cute, but kinda creepy!

What a unique story!
At first I thought it was going to be a suspense style, but after a while I took it for what it was.

It’s still a creepy idea .... having someone make themselves at home in my home (and so completely!)
Ashleigh done an awesome job of writing and I cannot wait to read the next instalment ❤️

I have given this only 3 🌟s because it is a teaser. It only took me thirty minutes tops to read and then I am supposed to buy the continuing story. I know episodic tales are common and it is an intriguing story, but I expect a little more than a 'short story' for my money (although to be fair it was free).

A Waking Dream

Ok I have to admit; stalking never seemed so romantic. I mean, besides the creepy stalker aspect, the guy is a perfect gentleman. Ivy should be weary 😩, if he's too good to be true he probably is a creeper. I can't wait to see what happens next.

In real life Kian would be a girl's walking nightmare, but to a horror reader and psychological thriller enthusiast, he is a pure delight. This is a multi-part series, which must be read in order. Thankfully, Book 2 is on the kindle, ready to go!

Kian is kind of creepy, but in a good way. He is not hurting Ivy, he is only watching her.
I guess if you are going to have a stalker, then he would be a good stalker.
I wonder what will happen if she wakes up?

Awake is a delightful and delicious romantic suspense thriller that will send chills up your spine. Even though Kian stalks Ivy while she's sleeping, you can't help but fall for him in a sordid way.
Can't wait for next installment, Are You Awake #2!!!

Great start to a series

What a way to start a series, I love the innocence behind his behavior and how it seems like not a big deal. This is definitely a book that keeps your curious the whole way through. Can't wait to see where the next book leads
