Pierce Smith, aka PS, has been writing since his childhood. He is a young, single, sexy author who lives alone in the countryside; somewhere on the Planet Earth. He always gets lost in a fantasy/paranormal world of ghosts, shapeshifters, aliens and more. Most of the time his imagination, intuitions, dreams, and his love for them drift him away. He is into paranormal mysteries and hot erotic scenes. PS is a lover of food, coffee, and hot people. PS discovered that fantasizing is addictive and once you have a taste of it, you can't get rid of it. Thus, escaping from the reality, he writes few short stories. Sadly, most of them go unpublished. He is planning to include them on his blog and share them through his Newsletter. On the advice of his friends, PS started writing long epic novels and self-publishing. PS does his job seriously; does a hell lot of research before putting anything into his books, and interacts with the community around him, a lot. He enjoys his characters (in every possible way) before putting any of them on the paper. He lusts after them so that his readers can experience the same intensity in the characters. He loves talking a lot and flirts openly, enjoying the company of others.

DNFed at 20% the writing is just bad... it is so choppy there is no flow at all. Short "sentences" that are actually fragments.

Should have heeded my friend, Len’s review. This had the potential to be an awesome fantasy/sci-fi romance but the writing ruined it. So disjointed and confusing.

An utter mess of a book. Not only is the story disjointed enough to make the head of a reasonably literate reader spin; the writing is positively horrendous, beset by constant mistakes, from erroneous or missing punctuation down to the confusion of homophonous words ('spices' instead of 'species' gives as adequate an idea of this so-called author's incompetence at spinning a tale as their love of tautology, as seen in "maids decorated his hair with feathers and used wooden pens filled with ink to finish the facial art on his face"), the use of the wrong preposition ("I doubt you are that good in a space technology" and the like), inept tense and mood concordance, the absence of necessary articles and pronouns, the abuse of preposterous modifiers like "the red man" to describe the human hero during his very first confrontation with the dragon main lead, and countless instances of unidiomatic phrases ("his eyes peeped into Pershing’s, squinting as the dragon was trying to read eyes" ~ "Pershing spoke, a mercy plea floating in his eyes" ~ "we are powerful though unique spices" ~ "therefore, attempts to steal the stone were frequent. Same was known to Ed's ancestors, so they made every attempt to keep the gem safe. Placing it in the deepest dungeon behind the safest vault, guarded by dragons, magical sermons, and delusional mazes", etc). Worse yet, whenever the wording is not technically incorrect, which happens all too scarcely, it veers straight into rambling balbutience: "the dragon saw the bullets approaching, but the red guy saw the bullets falling off as if hitting a sturdy wall" ~ "the next minute the machine gun was in the air, and then thrown from him. Panting, he adjusted his eyes and found a dragon shielding him through terrifying wings and his tail threw the gun in the air" ~ "don't leave this cave until I ask you otherwise you will be taught in history and cookery (sic!) classes at your Earth" (?), etc. Of course, what passes off for romance or character psychology or action within these covers fails miserably to impress; as a sample, let me copy down two single paragraphs chosen at random:

"the day after Kyg and Samin met, Kyg returned to assure Samin that he could live in his kingdom, but only in the cave until Sam's job was done. He didn't share his changing feelings for Samin. Though the alpha in him roared to claim Samin immediately, but he resisted his rising urges. Not wanting to spoil his innocent feelings for Samin who was altogether new to this place and their mating. Sam's innocent eyes always spoke more than his lips, but their military training kept his heart calloused. Sam was able to control his changing feelings, but Kyg's heat cycle was making him aggressive and out of control. He didn't want to take any more timid steps, but bite his mate, breed his ass, and claim Sam as his. Only his. The dragon within him roared and sighing, he left the cave.

Next night, Keg came to visit Pershing. The invisible current annoyed Kyg as usual. His sturdy physique only received a mild shock which could burn any human flesh in a second. Still, admiring the protection, because it was the only shield which was saving his mate from unwanted forest creatures. There might be hundreds of lust-sobbing dragons who could drag Samin to their dungeons in a second, destroying their future. Yelling from the entrance, Kyg thumped his tail making Samin run to the opening, to see Kyg standing there with a bag at his feet. Kyg half-shifted to dragon except his torso and head remained as a human. "

The head hopping between one POV and the other is no more jarring in the first paragraph than everywhere else in the book; nor are the limited vocabulary and nursery syntax and monstrously cut strings of words that often do not qualify as full-blown sentences. I see little point in beating a dead horse at this point. No amount of copy-editing, let alone of proof-reading, have obviously taken placen before this sea of painful sentences was rushed into a book. Unreadable, to put it mildly.

This book is an adult oriented (18+ to purchase). This is a work of pure fiction and not a romance novella.
GAY fans of ‘Game of Thrones, an American fantasy/drama television series’ lost Loras Tyrell, they probably feel completely left out of the story! Where are the TOPS? Where are the BOTTOMS? Where is the raw sexuality that any Gay Man would find exciting and interesting? Here they ARE! Pierce Smith has written a complex tale of love and sadness, dragons and shape shifting, palace intrigue and Majic! CONFLICT: An Heir – deals with the Crown Prince of a kingdom somewhere in the universe where Dragons rule and the prince is ‘coming-of-age’ to choose a mate and produce an heir for his kingdom.
The Crown Price, Kyg, has a half brother, Xeg, who is his protector and devoted brother and confidante! Kyg is looking for a mate and has numerous females from all over the universe paraded before him by his Mother and Father and none of which attracts his interest at all! He has come to grips that he is gay and wants a male consort. His brother is none too happy about his brother’s penchant and sets about to dissuade him from even thinking about marrying another male!
However, The Crown Prince has unfurled his wings and flown over the country-side and notice that a human had crash-landed on their land. He swoops down to get a look at this pink creature and immediately falls in love with the human astronaut! The two ultimately become intimate and later on in the book, Kyg and the human, Sam Pershing, mated and ‘Kyg heard Sam’s desire in his moans and groans and it was all he cold take not to cum before Sam.’
BUT, how could a human male become consort to the future King of the planet – let alone become pregnant with a heir to the Throan of Byndra? That on its’ face seems preposterous – but this is fiction and it is a planet far far away! Anything is possible when Pierce Smith sets his mind to do it!
I thoroughlty enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to find out what happens to Crown Prince Kyg and his mate in future volumes!

The Author for this story is very detailed in this book, making it very addictive and keeps the reader entertained. That plus the MPreg and Dragon Shifters, OMG! I couldn't wait to get there. I was speed reading, bath reading, passenger in a car reading! I loved the story and can't wait for the next book!

I will be generous and give this 2 stars. I really liked the premise, dragon shifters in another planet with a bit of political intrigue. However, the execution was horrible. The writing was subpar.. the author needs to take more creative writing classes? The story was not flowing at all.. I hope for the author to learn to write better. He has good ideas but this book was a pain to read.

Kyg and Sam have a heck of a time getting their bond accepted by Kyg's family due to suspicion, but mostly prejudice. I enjoyed this story, and would have liked to learn the fates of Ed and Cezz, but may be that's for another book.

The storyline was different, at times confusing, but enjoyable. I expect more with it being considered an m-preg, but I did like what little information there was. I look forward to reading what happens next for this royal family.
