At auction, she’s be thoroughly humiliated, but that’s just the beginning. Once she is purchased, she will address her new owner has Master. The training will be severe. Jessica is one of the college girls in Thorton. She’s popular and sweet, so she knows she just needs to pick the right boy as her guardian. In doing so, she’ll be able to twist him around her finger, making sure that nothing will change for her. Slavery is for the other girls. Unfortunately, Tyler won’t be as easy to manipulate as she thinks. In fact, he’s looking forward to sliding a red collar around her neck. In the City of Thorton, women are owned. This is a brand-new world, one where some of the females might try to resist or undermine the new law. Others will try to figure out what’s happened and how any of this can be possible. After all, there should be some kind of cause for all of this, right? If there’s an explanation, maybe they can stop it. An Improvement Over Previous Book

I read Yao's other book and found it full of grammatical errors and inconsistencies. While this book definitely still features some of those ( Yao keeps getting Helena's name wrong), these are few enough to only be a slight annoyance. The plot I found to be enjoyable, though the three stories at times are so similar it's hard to differentiate between them and they can come across as repetitive as a result. Also, as with Yao's other book, there are actions and details left out which would have added to the story. At the rate she's going with one more book,Yao will be great.
