Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

*I have received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a great third installment to an awesome series. There is still so much more intrigue, magic, and great characters. I really loved reading this novel. The entire experience was super fun. I loved seeing Cin d'Rella grow as a character. She truly isn't a stereotypical Cinderella. She is very spunky and super fun. I liked seeing the world through her eyes. She made the entire experience really nice and relatable.

Plus, the author had excellent world building in this world. The world keeps on getting more and more mysterious. When you thought you knew something, the next moment your socks are knocked off. I really had fun piecing together the parts of the world and entire super awesome mystery in this novel.

The romance was extremely sweet in this novel. I really like how it is one of more important plot devices, but the entire one. The kissing scenes were super adorable. I really liked seeing the young love appear and how the romantic relationships in the novel grew.

In summary, this is another great novel from an awesome author. I highly recommend you guys one-click it.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I enjoyed this book, and they keep on getting better with each instalment. There was so much action and adventure, as well as twists and turns that I really wasn’t expecting. Cin has been abducted and ended up on Shadow Island, where she may not even make it out alive because it’s where the worst of the worst are detained. Cin is saved by her ex combat trainer Everly who was sent to Shadow Island after apparently plotting to kill Cin. Everly always maintained her innocence and Cin was always wanted to believe that Everly hadn’t betrayed her. It wasn’t until Everly was patching up her cut ankle and how gentle she was being to not cause Cin anymore pain that it finally clicked that Everly was framed, and all the pieces finally come together on who framed her and why when Cin she’s her father’s spirit, that he ended up on the Island and died there so the same person that framed Everly also faked Cin’s father’s death and then stashed him on the island, by blackmailing him with Cin’s safety. I loved how Everly and Cin could become friends again, and Everly protected Cin and therefore Briardale as a Thorn should. She died with honour. I loved seeing Cin finally drop down all her walls where her feelings for Coltan is concerned. They’re so cute together. Rum seems very powerful considering who his mother is but he at least seems that he doesn’t want to force Cin into being with him, but wants to win her heart. I’m hoping that he’ll find his true love like Cin has with Coltan but only time will tell. I’m really looking forward to reading the final book and finding out how the final battle to save Briardale and break the curse once and all, hopefully without anyone dying. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

Best twist on fairy tales I've ever read!

Oh my God, I was so eager for the book to come out but, I wasn't prepared for what I just read.

Cin's life can't get any more twists and turns than it already did, right? I'm not mentally prepared for that to happen. She's been through so much and yet, she's resilient and grounded in the fave of everything life throws her way. Her dedication to her vows and to her family makes a reader falls in love with her over and over again.

And Jack, oh be still my heart. He's such a breath of fresh air in Cin's turmoil world. Not to mention he's instant connection with Kalder. I'm was swooning. Literally. However, I'm sad about the fact Kalder & Jack won't become the family I was hoping. Nonetheless, I believe S.J. West will give them the ending they both deserve.

Last, but certainly not least, what the hell is going to happen between Cin and Rumple? I have this nagging feeling he'll somewhat be able to charm Cin and get her affection. Obviously, not enough so she chooses him over Coltan but, still.

I'm so excited for the next book to come out I can't even stay still.

Coming off of one heck of a cliff-hanger we find Cin abandoned and questioning how she ended up on and island filled with prisoners who wouldn’t think twice in ending her life. This story moves rather quickly and just when you think all will be smooth sailing for Cin, she meets another ‘reinvented’ fairy tale character who offers a big whammy to her life. Cin’s perils do not end with the introduction this character, it only gets more interesting. Ms. West introduces the final sister who has been keeping all the uglies at bay. In this book, we say good bye to characters as well as meeting new ones.
SJ West does a remarkable job of recreating our most favorite fairy tale characters. I absolutely love this series.

What a book!!!! I devoured it up like a famished person. This is the 3rd book in the fantasy, fairy tale – Cin D’Rella series The story continues with Cin and her friends on their adventure in trying to unravel the mysteries of Briar Rose and Snow White. And my oh my, what an adventure it is. The great detail of the story line and the depth of the characters draws you completely into the book and their world. The manner in which S.J. West weaves the different fairy tales into the book is astounding! A an excellent read. I suppose it can be read as a stand-alone as the story slightly touches on the past but it would be better enjoyed if read after books 1 -2.

I could not wait to read this book after the cliff-hanger ending from Book 2 in the Cin d'della series. This book did not disappoint. I loved everything about it, but especially the characters. This book had several surprises and in the typical SJ West manner you will not be able to put it down. I love how this series takes the fairytale story and twists it in a unique manner. I am impatiently waiting for the final Book ( # 4 ) in the series. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys SJ West books and people that enjoy fantasy stories. A definite 5 stars out of 5.

The third book of Cin d'Rella was incredibly good! After the final chapter in book 2 I was eagerly waiting for this book to come out! It picked up right where book 2 left off. We get to find out a lot of information in this book. I feel like I'm not quite as in the dark to what is going on as I was in the first two. Lots of questions get answered and there are some OMG moments as well. Loved every minute of reading it!

Cin d'Rella and the Lonely Tower is the 3rd book of the Circle of the Rose Chronicles series and what an amazing book it is!

I LOVE how all the characters are growing and learning especially Cin, she has come a long way from book One.

I also Love how this is a modernized version of Cinderella, yet many other fairy tale characters show up to play their part as well.

The next book promises lots of changes and action, and I for one can't wait!!!

This is a MUST READ series.

Another fantastic edition to the Circle of the Rose chronicles. We learn a lot about love and friendship in this book. I feel like this is the calm before the storm. So many of our questions finally answered and a few more new ones to ask. The author for once did not leave us with a cliffhanger, it ends rather splendidly. I feel like Cin deserves a break. Patiently waiting on the final installment.

This is the 3rd book in the Cin D’Rella series and the story continues where book two left off. Cin is on another adventure to find the last piece to stop Suri from destroying Briardale. A lot of questions are answered and more pressure placed on Cin as she is the key to saving humanity. This series is full of adventure, twists and turns, is fast paced and action packed. I cannot say enough about this writer and I highly recommend her books. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

The third book is amazing!

There is so much going on and the world is huge just like the author’s imagination. Great story and lots of action that kept me up and turning the page, I just couldn’t put it down. I love how S J West brings in all the characters and gives them their own unique story. The love story of Cin and Colton woven into the action is a major plus. So very romantic! A definite must read!

It's funny that the title refers to something that only happens in the last 50 pages.
Other than that, no complaints at all: there are a few plot twists that leave you breathless (especially one at the end that -OMG, it almost gave me a heart attack). The story does not move forward too much but many things happen and many questions are answered, which I'm happy for.
Looking forward to reading the next one!
