This was an average devotional that I didn't really connect with. While there were a couple gems hidden in here, overall Pomarolli's uses examples of her "first world problems" to relate to Biblical passages: A brunch with girlfriends that required an Uber ride because they'd gone to the Long Beach location instead of the one in downtown Los Angeles. Turning down an acting role in a Charlie Sheen movie.
I'm sorry, if this is supposed to be relatable, you've lost me.
This also wasn't my kind of humor. I rolled my eyes several times at devotion titles, including "Is Botox A Sin? (I Might Be in Trouble)".
Meh, this just wasn't for me.

If you’ve ever tried to be the woman of Proverbs 31, but found it took unattainable, this is the book for you. While I may not have gone through the exact same situations as the author, I can still relate to the sentiment behind it all. I might be a hot mess, but at least I’m a hot mess for Jesus. This is exactly what this book is about. Still being able to praise Jesus, despite our imperfections. It’s a great read.

I have read many of Ms. Pomarolli’s books, and this devotional is BRILLIANT! I greatly appreciate her humor, but most of all the transparency of her sharing her life with the reader. I don’t share being a single mom of two daughters, nor have I had the same life experiences, but what I do share is my love for Jesus! You don’t have to of had the same experiences to read, appreciate, and fall in love with this book...then reread it, and certainly suggest it to your ALL your female friends, or even to your male friends who would gift this book, or ALL Ms. Pomarolli’s books to the females in their lives!!! She has become one of my favorite authors, and I look forward to reading her next books! Read this, and all other books by Kerri Pomarolli...you wont be disappointed!

She Rises Late ad Her Kids Make Her Breakfast is a devotion for all women who seek to be the Proverbs 31 woman. The author is a Christian comedian and she adds humor to her devotions. Unfortunately, there is more about the author and her life than there is Biblical input to help one grow in faith. She tries to connect the daily verse and her writing, but by time I got to the connection, I had forgotten the verse because of long story. If you want short, inspiration stories, this is a great book. Just don't count on it for growth in your spiritual walk.

As funny and inspiring as her in-person act! My daughter and I saw Kerri in person about 13 years ago (I have the Proverbs 32 t-shirt as proof) that has the title of this book, so I had to read it. Kerri's humor in everyday situations helped me to put things in perspective and not take things so seriously. At the same time, she encourages us to reflect on our lives and the impact that our relationship with Christ has on us. She reminds us to look to God in confusing, unclear, or trying times. A definite read when you are in need of realistic situations and their effect on your life.

I am about 15 days into this, and it is fabulous. It’s a fun read; Kerri tells about her life in such an open way—- A lot of the time I feel like she is writing my story because she describes many of the things that I face as a mother, wife, and female. You can read through each devotional entry in about 10 minutes and there are some good questions for thought along with a prayer at the end of each one. It definitely has given me some insight into the things that I do, think, and say.

Welcome to the real world! Using humor and life examples, comedienne Kerri Pomarolli encourages women to live an authentic life. One of the best points is that the Proverbs 31 woman had servants! No wonder she was that efficient. What a refreshing revelation that we cannot and should not try to do it all or go it alone. I look forward to hearing more from this author in the future.

I read Confessions of a Proverbs 32 Woman earlier this year, and I enjoyed this accompanying devotional. I found that this devotional was much more of a book of personal reflection or thought than a "devotion" - there wasn't a lot of Scripture or Bible study in the devotion - but the content was in and of itself enjoyable!

The devotions are a wonderful insight to a “real” woman’s daily struggles to balance it ALL with grace. Kerri reminds us that even in our mess God loves us. I particularly loved the prayers at the end of the devotions!

This is a book I will keep at my bedside and read again and again. I laughed, I cried, I just thoroughly enjoyed every well written page! I am now inspired to get all of Kerri Pomarolli’s books. This is a great gift too. I’ll be ordering several so my daughters and friends can enjoy too!

Great devotional!

This is an awesome devotional. Kerri is so relatable and funny. Her writing style gets you wanting to keep reading day after day — and in doing so, she helps you draw closer to Him.

This was a wonderful devotional which contained humor regarding the struggles we all have together with how God knows our struggles and gives us His answers on how to carry on through them His way. Enjoyed hearing this Christian comedian at a church women's conference and enjoyed this book.
