“We have many single men in town, and they have deep pockets for a girl with a nice smile.” She looked down to where the buttons of her dress were opened to reveal a large amount of cleavage. “Don’t forget to show your personality… Remember to smile. You may want to murder someone on the inside, but you get more tips with sugar than salt.” Riley was sure the saying was something like you get more flies with honey than vinegar, but it never made much sense because why would someone want flies?
“Honey, you know I fell in love with you when you used your pickup line.” She tapped her chin. “What was it… oh yeah: baby, if you were a fruit, you'd be a fineapple.”
“It all starts with a kiss.” “Says the confirmed bachelor buying a family home on a street called Pansy.” He sat back and frowned. “It gets me more bang for the buck.” “With your crazy standards, you’ll never see any bang in that house.”
“I don’t like to talk poorly of the dead,” Maisey said. Riley squinted her eyes and tilted her head. “She’s not dead.” “She is to me.”
“That damn love bug hit him like a hammer to the head.” Riley giggled. “I hear it’s contagious.” Thomas held up his hand, giving her a five finger stop sign. “I’m inoculated.” “Someday, someone will worm their way into your heart.” He cuffed her chin. “I’m not an apple.”
My Review:
Another lively and wittily amusing small-town romance by the lovely Kelly Collins, AKA, The Queen of Hearts. I adore her wry and uniquely engaging writing style and One Hundred Ways finds her in fine form with reams of keenly honed quips, witty banter, and lots of quirky and interesting little details that tickled my brain and conjured sharp visuals, such as a man drowning during a vodka-fueled session of dishwashing. I enjoyed getting to know this sweet couple and am already looking forward to becoming better acquainted with one of their friends in the next installment.
I love everything Aspen Cove and this book just adds to all the things I’m already in love with. It was so easy for me to connect with Riley. All of her self-doubts and her desire for a drama-free, conflict-free, life are so familiar to me. Luke is just an absolute sweetheart. I had already fallen at least half under his spell earlier in the series. This just cemented the feelings. He’s prone to speaking before he thinks, but that just makes him more human and likeable to me. The angst and intrigue that swirl around them in the background make for compelling reading. The tension left me anxiously wondering if I’d read the situation right and if/when the other shoe would drop. I loved the way this book ends and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next in Aspen Cove. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
This was another good read in the series. Riley is new to town. She is here to spend time with her aunt. She ends up meeting Luke and sparks fly. They have some issues but in the end it all works out for them.
Riley, a metal sculptor, escapes to Aspen Cove to get away from her stepmother after her father passes away. Luke, the fire chief, is not too happy with Riley and her welding setting off fire alarms. I really loved these two together and their chemistry is full of sparks and heat. This is a well written touching story that had me hooked from the first page until the last. I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
She has loss her father and she has moved to a small town where she is soon in trouble with him. He sees her breaking fire codes and being a fireman will not stop him. He also likes the look of her and life is about to change for them both. Will they fall in love? Will life get better? Will life serve them a curveball? see how they get on

Yet another great addition to the Aspen Cove Novel series. I just love this small town and the people there I got to know and like. One Hundred Ways was a lovely story about self discovery, trust and forgiveness. Both Riley and Luke were loveable characters. I think they were great for each other. They both were reasonable enough to listen what others said, to take sound advice. They had their flaws too and those made them more realistic to me. All in all Ms. Kelly Collins did a great job again. She delivered a lovely story with great writing.
Totally in Love with this series. In this series we have Luke the sexy firefighter and Riley a metal artist who has just showed up to Aspen Cove. Riley’s father recently passed away and her stepmother has sold the house leaving her homeless. She moves to Aspen Cove to be with Family. Riley is off to a bad start with Luke who is all about safety. Riley proves to Luke that she is the safety queen. They are attracted to each other but will they be able to have the love they should have. Meg a waitress Riley works with hates Riley. They end up becoming friends or are they really. Meg wants what Riley has. Tragedy strikes once again for Riley. It will test her bond with Luke. Will they be able to find Lasting love or will their romance dwindle? Must read this series!! I am in Love with Kelly’s books.
My love of this series just keeps growing with every book I read. The author keeps her characters, her town and her series captivating and totally enjoyable with each and every book she writes. This is a beautiful love story about a girl needing to find herself and her place in this world and a very sexy fireman wanting to keep his foot firmly in the town he has grown to love and protect. I also really enjoyed the interaction with the other characters in two during this read and with the anticipation of the next book and characters.
I am not going to write a quick overview but just going to list some of my favourite quotes. As this is a must read series if you love small town romances. I received an arc copy of this book to which this is my honest and voluntary review.
“There was no way he’d tell Maisey that his heart had skipped a beat as the blood flowed to his groin, For all he knew, she was Dalton’s sister.”
“She strolled back to her booth, passing Mr Green Eyes. He looked up and smiled. Her damn knees actually shook. She mentally chastised herself for that reaction. She hadn’t come to Aspen Cove to find a boyfriend. She’d come here to find herself.”
“He’d had enough one-night stands in Denver to satisfy the busiest gigolo. Nope, at thirty-four, Luke was looking for forever, and she’d have to be something pretty damn special.”
“His woman would have to be tough and confident. She needed to be the type of woman who would love the community like it was her family. As a public servant, he was married to everyone, so his wife would be, too.”
“When I kiss you, I’ll leave you breathless and wanting more.”
“Bend to her will? Luke didn’t take Riley to be the alpha female type- but then again, he hadn’t considered much about her beyond her fabulous curvy figure and her pretty face.” Riley was determined to bury the old and start a new life here.”
It’s getting hot in here, and there are torches in this one!

Riley Black, welder and aspiring metal sculptor, she’s looking for a fresh start in Aspen Cove, away from the hurts and slights of the past. Luke Mosier, Aspen Cove’s Fire Chief, let’s just say he makes a less than impressive first impression on Riley, one that has HER ready to roast his … well this IS polite company so we’ll just leave that be for now! Hot in SO many ways, exciting, angsty, and so beautifully rewarding, “One Hundred Ways” is a delightful addition to the Aspen Cove Romance Series! The characters are richly crafted, and beautifully defined! I love how they continue to grow and develop throughout the story. I also love how easy the story is to follow, how the plot has a few surprises, a bit of a twist here, a turn there, a healthy helping of angst, and oh my a heaping handful of heat! This couple sizzles! No spoilers dear listeners, grab some headphones, close your eyes, and listen as our narrator brings ALL of our authors goodness brilliantly and beautifully ALIVE! You will be so glad you did. I know I was. I absolutely enjoyed everything about this five star addition to an absolutely wonderful series! “One Hundred Ways” BRILLIANT!
Another wonderful visit to Aspen Cove! Riley Black’s father has passed away and she no longer feels the need to remain near his home…or her stepmother. She barely makes it to Aspen Cove where her Aunt Maisey owns the local diner. Riley will work as a waitress at the diner while continuing her art of sculpting metal. Riley longs to find a place to truly belong and feels that Aspen Cove could be the place, at least until she has a run in with Luke Mosier, Aspen Cove Fire Chief. Will Riley be able to forgive him for his rush to judgement? Will Luke realize that Riley could be the woman for him? I just love the stories from Aspen Cove as the author provides updates on previous characters that seem like old friends. I don’t know if she plans it, but Ms. Collins always adds her own “words of wisdom” that always make me stop and think. This time it was “In order to belong to someone or someplace, you have to let them have a piece of you.” When danger follows her, will Riley feel that she should move on? This is book number eight in the series and I could find one hundred ways to tell you how special Ms. Collins’ writing and characters are to me. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
This is my first book from the Aspen Cove Romance, One Hundred series. I loved it so much that I could not put it down. This book is about Riley and Luke. Riley loses her father and becomes homeless, as her stepmother has always been cruel and not loving. She goes to find her aunt and cousin in Aspen Cove and falls in love with it. Everyone is kind and helpful to her that she knows that this would be a new beginning to life. Luke is the fire chief of this town and loves what he does so much that he downright degrades individuals that do not take fires seriously. Riley has an encounter with him concerning this and it escalates in front of his own crew, which just turns him on.
This book is too sweet at some points but loveable. There is drama because you know there is always someone jealous as well as entertainment from the fire station crew. I now need to catch up with this series and read everyone else’s story, because if it is anything like this book, I know I am going to love them.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Having read the rest of the series, it was a delight to visit Aspen Cove once more with Luke and Riley's story. Luke is a strong hero but Riley is still trying to allow her true self to come out. Despite Luke's initial censure, Riley surprises herself by standing up to him in what was an amusing introduction. Whilst Riley's aunt and cousin are delighted that she has joined them in the small town where everyone knows each other's business, there is a fly in the ointment that makes Riley question herself. It takes all of Luke's resources and understanding to teach Riley to love the person she is. With the help of longtime residents of the small town, Riley eventually recognises that if she wants to move forward, she has to make peace with her past. I enjoyed this well-written romance and the sense of comradery that one experiences among the characters. Although this book is part of a series, it is a standalone and comes to a happy and successful conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I love this series. Ms. Collins has such a gift for writing books. I could feel Riley’s emotions throughout the book. Riley has been beat down most of her life so her self worth is at an all time low. After her father dies, she moves to Aspen Cove to start over and get to know her aunt and cousin who live there. She has a love of welding for art which is unusual for a woman. She does not hit it off with the town’s fire chief Riley when she first hits town. Riley is definitely a stickler for safety, but boy is he handsome! I loved how the two threw sparks off each other from the beginning. Of course they were not all good sparks! Riley can’t figure out if Meg, the other waitress she works with, is a friend or foe. I love reading about the small towns and how everyone knows your business, but also everyone sticks up for their own. I loved the book, and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of the book.
Riley Black came to Aspen Cove to escape her selfish stepmother and have a new start after her father dies. But she doesn’t have a good beginning after fire chief Luke Mosier accuses her of driving around with flammable containers in her car. When the toaster at her aunt’s restaurant and her art welding studio sets off fire alarms, she is thought of as a pyro. She thinks the townspeople continue to judge her and blame her for things she didn’t do like back home and wonders if she needs to move again. There were plenty of ups and downs and funny moments in this romance. I thought it was cool that Riley created art sculptures with metal. I would love to see that sexy firemen calendar with all the rescue puppies. Meg was quite a nasty person and I wonder if she’ll be redeemed in a future book. It was great to catch up with the characters from the previous books in the series. Thomas was so adamant about remaining a single man that I can’t wait to read his romance next.

After her father's death, Riley Black goes to Aspen Cove to live with her aunt and cousin, Dalton, in search of getting to know herself and find a way into her life. In addition of giving a chance at her dream of becoming an artist. Luke Mosier is one of the city's firefighters, and when he sees Riley for the first time, the attraction is immediate, but because he always cares for the safety of the city's residents, he ends up talking things that make Riley angry and not so willing to know him better. When misunderstandings are resolved, they can't deny their attraction to each other, but they find some obstacles along the way, like Meg. Riley begins to bloom at Aspen Cove, finally belonging to a place, doing her artwork and succeeding. I loved the story and the characters, as always, are perfect. Kelly Collins can always leave us wanting more of these Aspen Cove characters. I highly recommend the reading.
This was a fantastic new story in the Aspen Cove series about a man who wanted to get back to small town living and a woman wanting a new start and needing a place to finally belong. Luke is an alpha make fire chief who protects the town of Aspen Cove. Riley is a metal artist who has finally left her naysaying stepmother behind following the death of her father. Sparks fly but so do tempers when these two meet for the first time. Follow Luke and Riley as they find happiness and a place to belong in One Hundred Ways. One Hundred Ways was filled with heartache, danger, forgiveness, healing, small won friendship, passion, and love. Kelly Collins creates heartwarming stories about family, courage, and healing and One Hundred Ways doesn't disappoint. This is a must read readers won't want to put down. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I loved this book. Riley comes to Aspen Cove to find some of her family, her father died and er step mother "hates"her and made her move out. Riley feels like she has no where else to go, she has a secret about herself and fears people will leave if they find out what it is. Riley is a sculptor just like here day and works with metal and fire. Luke the towns fire chief meets her and he thinks she is irresponsible and an accident waiting to happen, she can't convince him that he is wrong. Riley starts working at her Aunt's diner with another waitress Meg who only has eyes for Luke. Luke wants nothing to do with her. Strange fires start happening and Riley thinks the whole town blames her, but is it really her. You won't regret picking up this book, and why just stop at this one, the entire Aspen Cove series is great.

We are back in Aspen cover and Riley has just arrived in town deciding to take back her life with the support of her Aunty and cousin. Unfortunately for Riley as soon as she gets into town things start to go wrong not due to the bad luck she thinks she has that follows her but to a miss understanding and this in turn sees her relationship with Luke become a bit of a roller coaster ride. It was great seeing everyone from the other books appear in this one and you feel like you have come home while you laugh, want to try, get frustrated and hope that Riley and Luke may get together, but they have a force working against them which leaves you chewing your nails hoping they make it and Riley's self doubts and Luke's stupidity doesn't run Riley out of town.

I have read every book in the Aspen Cove series and One Hundred Ways is another excellent addition to the series. Because this is a small town series with reoccurring characters, I recommend reading the series in order for maximum enjoyment. Luke is Aspen Cove's fire chief. He's a nice guy but a bit of a by the book personality. Riley is the cousin of Dalton who works at the diner with his mother Maisy (see why I recommend reading the series in order!) and she is starting a new chapter in her life by moving to Aspen Cove. One of her first experiences is with the quick to judge without doing his research fire chief! These two may start off as opposites but they're definitely attracted and as we know in Aspen Cove, love will always prevail! Their story is told from dual POV and I recommend this to all small town romance fans that enjoy a bit of heat in their romance.
This is the eighth book in the Aspen Cove series and as always it is a wonderful sweet romance that owes its total likeability to the characters of this wonderful town
This is Riley and Luke's story Riley as just moved to town to spend time with her aunt and cousins after she is basically thrown out by her step mother on her fathers death. She not only finds her family but she finds a town where she is sure she could put down roots and belong That is till she clashes with Luke Mosier the fire chief he accuses of her been reckless after a number of incidents and these leads to her been labelled as a fire bug. He may not trust her but Luke is definitely attracted to her Will she melt him enough for them to find love You will have to read to see I can't tell you how great it was to visit with the folk of Aspen Cove and I am now waiting not so patiently for the next book
This audiobook takes us back to Aspen Cove. A place where many not only arrive to find a second chance in life, but also unexpectedly find love when they least expect it. This time it’s Fire Chief Luke Mosier’s and newcomer Riley Black’s story. Riley arrives in town to start a new life at the invitation of her aunt. She’s an artist that works with fire and steel, and due to a past history, very careful and conscious of the dangers of it all. But when she meets Riley, he gives her the third degree. As they give in to the attraction, accidents occur and fingers are pointed. Will that drive them apart? Will the people in town believe her or others? It’s a story about hope, new beginnings and discovering that there are one hundred ways in life and in love. Can’t wait to see whose story will be next. I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Riley Black arrives after living a tumultuous life with an alcoholic father and a mean stepmother. She believes that she has never been enough for anyone to stick with her, not her mother, fsther, twin brother or anyone. When she arrives in Aspen Cove, she is welcomed by her aunt Maisey, cousin Dalton and most of the town. The new fire chief, Luke, thinks she is cute, but unwittingly disparages her because of her propane tanks, which are in the back of her car. She wants to be free to do her artistic metal work, but is really plagued by her insecurities. When someone mentions that she might be putting a negative interpretation on people's words, she has to stop and think. This does have a happy ending, but it takes a lot of tears to get there. I wonder if this series is a little too YA for my taste.
All Maisey wanted was a fresh start and after her father's passing it was time to move own with only a couple of dollars to her name she made it to Aspen Cove where he aunt lived. Her aunt was the only person who was okay with her life decisions to create art. Being new in town and trying to find herself after being put down by her step mother most of her life she is definitely not looking for romance.
Luke is the town's fire chief and is a rule stickler. He and Maisey don't see eye to eye at first. She is sort of the rule breaker , they bump heads most of the time. Can these two find happiness together are they may be better apart? The attraction is definitely there. I voluntarily received an arc copy through Booksprout for my honest review.
Another winner in the Aspen Cove series! Riley arrives in town looking for acceptance, the opportunity to spread her artistic wings, and find a place to call home. A man was not on her list but Luke quickly changed her mind. While Luke and Riley got off on the wrong foot, it didn't take them long to realize they were meant to be together. I've liked Luke since he was introduced to the series, now I like him even more. Luke is a he-man but not afraid to admit his mistakes. *sigh* With Luke's support(as well as folks in town), Riley sees she has worth and her self-esteem improves. They make a terrific, hot couple.
If you're looking for a delightful, well-written story with likable characters and an interesting plot, then I urge you to read One Hundred Ways.
Each time there is a new book for this series, I think it can't get any better. I was wrong. This book might be the best of the series. Every story is different but yet written with heart and pulls me into the story-line right up to the end. The book has something for everyone because it is about life itself; it's about independence; it tells about self preservation when faced with trials; and, we find love in different places where we expected nothing. Riley had a hard life; she had less that five dollars; and, she pulled into Aspen Cove to find hope. I cried, I laughed and I loved this book right up to the last page. There are sensual scenes so I recommend this for adults.
Another good story in the Aspen Cove series. Riley and Luke have an interesting love story full of ups and downs. They teach each other and help each other to grow as a person just by being in each other's lives (loved the keyring symbolism). I felt for Riley with everything she had been through and went through. There was one character in this story that I felt their story wasn't quite finished enough for me.... I could guess what happened next but I'm high maintenance and wanted it handed to me in amongst Riley and Luke's story.

Riley had stayed with her father until his death, despite her step-mother making life difficult with hateful barbs. Finally free she takes up on an offer from her aunt and cousin to move to Aspen Cove and finally work as the artist she is, wealding sculptures to her heart content, while earning a little money at her aunt's diner. She makes friends and small-scale enemies when local fire-chief Luke shows an interest in her. A nice, light story, entertaining and partly funny, especially as the relationship with Riley and Luke starts of on a mis-understanding. A good read for a few hours of entertainment. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Starting over I really loved Riley and Luke’s story. Riley has had a harsh life and she needed to make a fresh start after being thrown out by her stepmother. Aunt Maisy comes to her rescue and tells her to come to Aspen Cove. Fire chief Luke has been thwarting unwanted attempts by waitress Meg to the point that he’s uncomfortable about the situation. In walks Riley and he only has eyes for her. This story is all about their powerful attraction, misunderstandings, forgiveness, jealousy and nastiness causing harm. Another lovely story in the Aspen Cove series which makes we want to keep listening / reading to find out who will be next to fall in love.
