Dear Wes, let's skip pleasantries. I'm not going to med school a v*rgin. I want to learn everything, and I want you to teach me.
I've looked at all the men in my life, made a list of pros and cons, found you the most suitable. Sure, a lot of that was your gorgeous blue eyes and your charming smile. The strong arms and the tattooed torso don't hurt either. I swear, I don't have a thing for bad boys. Just you. There's no way I'm ever sending this. I can't believe I'm even writing it. But, god, I really, really do want to study under you. Is that too formal? How am I supposed to phrase this? Wes, please, teach me how to love. I promise I'll study hard. I'm an excellent student. And, well, I'm pretty sure I don't need to spell out why this is win/win. - Quinn
Losing It is a is a standalone first time romance with the perfect mix of heat, humor, and emotion. Come see why readers say "no one writes broken bad boys like Crystal Kaswell."
Crystal Kaswell is the author of the Sinful Serenade series. She writes steamy new adult romance with flawed characters. She loves police procedurals, tea, and The Hunger Games series. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband.
Sometimes you need to think less and just feel... A new visit to the Inked Hearts world. Quinn is just a bit tightly wound. She also doesn't want to go off to med school still a virgin. She decides to approach Wes. Wes who she grew up with. Who she already has a crush on. And unbeknownst to her, he has a crush on her. It isn't just about a 'wham bam thank you mam' moment tho. She and Wes both have their issues. They are undeniably attracted to one another. Wes is living on the surface and Quinn is looking at a future that others have laid out for her. They both discover more about themselves and each other in the time they have together before she is set to leave California for Chicago and med school. What she thought was going to be a casual fling to rid her of that cursed virginity, becomes so much more. Wes teaches her to think about things less and she encourages him to think more. Even about the less pleasant things that he tends to avoid. Loved!! And of course, no Inked Heart would be complete without glimpses of some of the rest of the crew...and hints at the future books.

Let the fireworks begin! Crystal Kaswell rocks that special place in romance where funny, emotional, and hella hot meet. Losing It is no exception. The games begin when Quinn decides she's not going off to med school a virgin. She has the perfect teacher in mind with all the right credentials: big, tattooed, alpha. If you think you know what's coming next you're wrong. This book is a heartfelt surprise that will leave you smiling long after the swoon hits in force. Five yummy stars!
I love these books, but I always seem feel like I'm reading half the conversation. Which buggs me. With Wes and Quinn their story seemed to be forced. She wants to learn about sex, but she can't relax and enjoy it. Wes was the best out of this book. He what made this book.
Losing It Crystal Kaswell is the story of Quinn and Wes. Quinn is off to college but doesn't want to go as a innocent women. So she goes forward to get Wes to be the one to help her overcome that issue. Wes has always liked Quinn and he thinks this is the time to act on it. So he wants her to give him a few weeks before she leaves to 'teach' her about sex. Loved this couple! Really enjoy Ms. Kaswell's books so I hope to read more in the future.
As an anxiety sufferer, I could definitely relate to Quinn. A little too much, in fact. This was a cute read, but the format and dialogue were TERRIBLE.
Quinn is going to medical school in Chicago but before she goes she wants her friend Wes to teach her everything about sex. Wes agrees and the two of them have three weeks together before Quinn moves. They hang out and hook up and eventually both find themselves wanting more but are afraid the other does not want the same thing. I liked Quinn and Wes together. Wes showed a different side to Quinn and although she tried, she couldn't keep things with him all business. He was patient and understanding with her and it was sweet that he went to Chicago to tell her parents and brother that she wasn't going to medical school. I really liked the other characters in this book also and can't wait to read Griffin and Juliette's story in the next book.

I love this author, but this book was horrendous. I feel like this book was just used as a filler for the next coming, w/o having any substance. I could not stand hearing how she was just so damn cute or just so Quinn. Really disappointed but interested in ready Griffins’ story which I probably next.
I loved the main character, Wes, in this book. I liked how the female character, Quinn, secretly yearned for him since she was a teenager and vice versa. Their families were friends growing up, and they had not quite a friendship, but more than just acquaintances. She's somehow heading off to med school as a virgin, and does not want that to happen.
Wes is a very confident, flirtatious, know-it-all character. I loved his flirty nature, and couldn't get enough of his dirty talk. He was the real winner for me in this book.
I had a hard time connecting with Quinn, because of her naivete and her lack of confidence. I really wanted her to become more sure of herself earlier in the book.
There was also talk of Quinn having anxiety or something along those lines, but it was never really explored or explained in the book. And I think that if it had been, then maybe I would have understood her character a little bit more.
I still gave this book 4 stars because their coupling in the second half was well written and sexy.
Quinn Thorn is heading off to med school in four weeks, even though it isn't what she wants to do with her life. But before she goes, she has a bucket list of items she wants to complete. Top of this list is losing her virginity, and the only way to do it is ask her childhood friend Wes to teach her everything she needs to know about how to be good in bed and ultimately be the one to take her V card. Wes has always thought that Quinn was the most beautiful woman he knows and when she comes to him with a proposal, asking him to be the one who teaches her about sex and that she wants him to be the one that "pops her cherry", Wes can't believe his luck. Wes and Quinn are great together and the respect that Wes shows Quinn in building up to the big event, insisting on dating her, completing items on her bucket list and showing her what real passion is, is hot!! But when it comes to the time for Quinn to leave for Chicago, it's time to face the truth about their feelings. Another winner from Ms. Kaswell
This was a good read. Quinn is about to go off to med school. However, she doesn't want to leave a virgin. So she asks Wes if he would be willing to give her some lessons. Of course after spending all this time with each other they fall in love. Just like all the other couples they got their HEA.
I enjoyed this book for the most part. I was really let down that all the build up about their families and the drama regarding his mom being an alcoholic and her parents probably not approving of her not going to med school led to nothing more actually happening except as background info provided in the epilogue. No scenes where the tough stuff was said and laid out. Why lead up and lead up to not do anything with it?
3.5/5 for this one. It felt too similar to one of her other books I read. It had its moments but I wasn't really feeling it this time around with this book.
Quinn has four weeks before she packs up and heads to Chicago for med school; her only desire is to loose her virginity. Wes is the perfect man to help with Quinns dilemma. Provided she doesn't fall in love with him before she leaves.
Ive been waiting for Wes since his intoduction in Breaking the Rules and I was not dissapointed. Wes has issues behind his mask but Quinn so easily starts cracking walls.
I loved this book for the fact that it flowed so smoothly, the confict was inner turmoil, yet minute enough that it didn't spill into their relationship. Wes' reaction to Chases phone call had me on the edge of my seat & the resolution. Absolutely perfect.
Wes & Quinn are goals 😍 Lets face it, virginity aside, how many of us are Quinn level socially awkward, too busy for fun & sweat the big things. How often do we want to have someone come when we need that little extra help.
Horrible book. It felt like she was trying to plug all her other books into the story because she knew her storyline was lacking. The exchanges between Wes and Quinn were forced and stilted. This story definitely did not deliver.
In going to keep this short. I was excited to start reading this but not too far in and I was done. I did make myself finish just because I like the story line and I wanted to see where it went. However I hated Quinn's dialogue. Every sentence she said the word um, it started to get extremely annoying.
Wes Keating has been been approached by his friend Quinn to help her lose her virginity before she moves back to Chicago to begin Medical School. He doesn't hesitate to say yes but makes sure that they are both on the same page that this is a casual monogamous fling that will take place before she leaves. Quinn has had a plan laid out for her, for all of her life. The next step is to move back to Chicago and begin medical school. The issue with that is that she is unsure that that is what she really wants. Does she really want to go to medical school or is it that her family expects it and she feels that she doesn't have a choice in the matter? Can her and Wes figure out what they want most out of their lives before things go too far and they end up living 2000 miles apart? Can Wes let her in and can she let go of her preconceived notions on what she has planned?
If you have never read anything by Crystal Kaswell, this book has it all. It has angst, conflict, hot cocky guys and steamy scenes. If you have read anything of Crystal's, you see repeated themes again from her previous books. The alcoholic, the virgin, the I don't want to care about this person and it is all casual,is all over this book.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was an amazing read! First off, I am a huge fan of this author and I love her Inked Hearts series!
This was another great installment! The characters in this series are so relateable no matter what is happening and I already cannot wait for the next one.
But that being said, let me share what I liked about THIS book!
Wes has always been known as the fun loving playboy that does not let anything phase him, enjoying tattooing, sex, booze, and parties. Underneath this playboy ways, is a guy with real issues and does not let people EVER see him the way he truly is.
Quinn is kind of a bookworm that has never felt comfortable taking that last step in a physical relationship. She has not had someone that she trusted enough to do it.
Her and Wes knew each other growing up and she felt that he would be the best one to help her with her little issue. She is about to go to med school and wants to take the plunge beforehand.
The author does a great job of not only setting the stage for Quinn to lose her V-card but also get to really know these characters and how real they are.
I absolutely loved the characters, supporting characters, their interactions and basically everything about this book!

First off I love Crystal. She has some great story lines. I can still to this day not decide who I love the most or what series I love the most. She is a fantastic writer and adds the angst and love in all her books.
This book was about Wes and Quinn. Quinn is tarting school at the end of the summer and has a bucket list for the rest of the summer. The bucket list includes losing her virginity from her player of a friend Wes. Wes is not a commitments type of man. He knows helping Quinn is a bad idea but how can he say no.
Quinn and Wes start a “teaching relationship” to help her sexually advance. They are also crossing off everything else off the bucket list. They have rules and know where they both stand. 4 weeks and every Monday... until it’s not like that anymore. Now the time is ticking before it’s time for Quinn to leave. Does he tell her not to go ? Does she ask him to go ? Read it and find out. You won’t be disappointed.
I’m giving it 4 stars because I felt like the way it was written kind of bothered me a little bit. I felt like a lot of it was conversation and I would have to go back and see who it was that was talking because there would be so much and I would lose trAck. Even with that said I still highly recommend this book for a cute short love story.
Wes is a tattoo artist who is struggling to put his heart into his talent, though he has other passions and it's those that Quinn wants.
She's to head off to med school soon, leaving California and still holding her v-card unless she changes that. So why not get Wes's help. They've been family friends for years even if they only know each other on the surface level. Helping her doesn't need to have strings attached. Except when he helps her with her anxiety their hearts start to get involved. ..but they are running out of time.
I liked this story but I found it wasn't a balance of steaminess with romance and character development. I didn't get to learn why Wes doesn't get his heart involved often, nor learn why his relationship with his family is what it is. I also didn't learn what started Quinn's anxiety or if Wes helped reduce it.
I got to see Griffan and Juliette- is there going to be a novella or novel on their relationship? I'd be interested to read theirs.
Overall the story was cute. Especially with the old movie references, wine and tea knods.

Hot & Heavy First Time Love💘😍🌹 4.5 Stars 🌟 (Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Quinn is on her way to med school in Chicago in 4 weeks. She's a 22 year old virgin, has anxiety issues & lusts after Wes, a manwhore with a devil may care attitude and a face & body made for sin!!🔥 She just needs to be brave & ask if he'd do the deed & teach her his wicked ways!!😉🙈
Wes hides a lot behind his carefree attitude & smiling face!!😢 His family is coming apart at the seams but he can't face what they're saying & wants to bury his head in the sand!! He's always had the hots for Quinn, they'd seen each other on & off throughout their childhood as their Mums grew up together & stayed friends!! When she asks him to take her virginity & teach her about sex he can't believe his luck. Even better - it's got an expiration date of 4 weeks. What could possibly go wrong in 4 weeks??🙈😍😆
I loved this very steamy romance. Apart they were faking it, but together they were so much stronger!!💘 A lovely 4.5 Star read 🌟
I read this whole series and I though Ryan story would always be my favourite but I was wrong! Wes is now my favourite story.
I loved Wes and Quinn both individually and together. Wes isn’t as annoying as Dean which at first I thought they where going to be too similar. I love Dean but he is over the top!
Quinn is so cute and innocent and finally stands up for herself and she become more confident which I think she needed and Wes helped that.
I loved that there was no wrong between them like a big mistake and then a make up because that happens all the time. This time it was just the situation and they figured it out on own and no drama.
I loved that we got a idea about others and looking forward to hearing about Chase and Griffin. I think Griffin might become my favourite based on this book but we will see. Can’t wait for more.

What a fabulous read! We first meet Wes in Hunter and Emma's story. He seemed like quite a character and I looked forward to getting to know him. I wasn't disappointed. He's outgoing and charismatic with a heart that he is trying to hide. Then we have Quinn. I enjoyed getting to know her and following her on her path to love, even if it was unplanned. These two were perfect for each other. They had been drawn together for so long but denied themselves because they didn't think the other person would like them as anything but a friend. There was so much chemistry between them that their connection was undeniable. I loved watching them fall in love. I also loved watching Quinn grow and become bolder. Her strength just kept shining. What a great match. I'm looking forward to more to come. I'm curious about Chase and want to see what happens with Griffin. Thanks for another amazing read! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
I have read each book in this series and 2 other series that Crystal has wrote. I loved the first few books I read but then they all started blending together. The use of the same phrases over and over really bothers me. “It tastes like (character’s name). “It smells like (character’s name).” “One inch at a time.” “There.” Whenever I see these lines, I instantly disconnect. And someone is always obsessed with tea or coffee. I just feel like I’m reading the same books with slightly different storylines over and over now. This book wasn’t bad per se. I was just hoping for it to be different. With this book in particular, the conversations for sloppy and I had to go back a few times to see who was who. The story was cute. But I was just hoping that this book would be it’s own.
Before Quinn heads to Chicago to start medical school, she wants to lose her virginity and she knows just the man for the job. Wes and Quinn have been friends since they were kids and he has always been attracted to her. When she asks him a favor that will benefit both of them, he agrees as long as she follows his rules.
Four weeks of fun turns into more than a fling and both Wes and Quinn will have to decide who and want they want from life.
I enjoyed both these characters. Quinn is sweet and innocent while Wes’s bad boy persona hides his vulnerabilities and the chemistry between them was hot.
Quinn and Wess- a beautifully awkward combination of heat-seeking sparks, and guarded hearts- Their four-week adventure of scratching off Quinn's bucket list and Wess's messed up family life bring them closer to something neither thought was on their radar... Delectability naughty, humorous, with a soul search here and there, this heat and heart fueled journey claimed my attention from the very first page and still has not let go! Ticks off everything I look for in the romances I read. I highly recommend checking out Wess and Quinn's sexy, zany and sweet story for yourself!
