Etiquette: the least you need to know

Rate this book
“You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Have you ever heard this saying? Before we get a chance to say a word, our gestures and manners have already spoken for us. Though some of the rules of good manners change, others remain constant. This book is about the the least you need to know to make a good first impression. As Clarence Thomas once said, “Good manners will open doors that the best education cannot.” Use this book as a master key to open those doors.

Bought this book today because I'm generally interested in the topic and at the same time wanted to support the local author here in Azerbaijan. First at all, generally I liked it, the book is abound with pictures and is quite informative, especially great for introducing children to the etiquette. However, 10 pages (5 of them are only pictures) were dedicated to how to hold a different types of glasses for beverages, while no words said, for instance, about the car etiquette, the telephone etiquette and how to hold a conversation, especially in this period of time when car and telephone have become an integral part of our lives. I wish the author released a second part or a revised edition of this book.
