First Steps: All In the Family
Sasha was excited when her mother remarried. She liked her new step-father and the step-brother, Jax, that came along with him. Sasha met Jax briefly at the wedding, but it wasn’t until her parents decided to take a long honeymoon that she really thought of him again. As a recent high school graduate, Sasha’s parents didn’t think that she should stay home alone for the two months they planned to tour Europe. Deciding that it might be good for the new step-siblings to get to know each other better, they arranged for Sasha to spend the summer with Jax. Jax was ruggedly handsome, had the body of a god and was a United States Marine. Woah!! So hot!!!!
I loved this story of Jax and Sasha....who would have been the envy of all her friends had they known! A page turner that I really didn't want to put down, with hot, very detailed sexy scenes. The ending has left me hanging......I can't wait for more!

Definitely a must read for Tabo Lovers!!

Let me start by saying I am not a big fan of the step-sibling romance. Most books try to make it more taboo than it really is. I mean, they're not really related. At all. Yes, it might be weird, but there's really nothing shocking about it. So, going in to this one, I already had my biased opinion at the ready.
Let me start by saying, the sex scenes are extremely hot. I mean, the kind of hot that steams up your Kindle. The kind of hot that has you reaching for your partner after reading, or engaging in little self-love session.
But that's about it. There is no actual plot here outside of Jax's younger step-sister coming to stay with him while her mother and his father are on vacation together. Nothing happens except incessant naked time and sex. Throw in a voyeuristic BFF of Sasha's and there's just more sex with one more person in attendance. None of these characters had any depth and I had a hard time connecting with any of them.
Then, I became distracted by the constant reminders of their relationship. The words "Sis", "sister", "brother", "step-brother", "step-sister", or "sibling" are used over, and over, and over, multiple times on most pages. I found it insulting as a reader. I get it. They're step-siblings. That was made clear in the beginning. No need to re-hash it 4 or 5 times on a page. Not to mention the constant change in point of view, not by chapter, but by paragraph. That seemed too often to me.
So, sorry to say, this one didn't float my boat. If I was rating this book solely on the steamy scenes, it would have had a higher rating. But, I like more story in my smutmance. This one is more smut than storyline. Look, if that's your cup of tea, then you'll enjoy this one. For me, this was a borderline 3 star read.

Holy hot! This book exceeded all my expectations. The story of Jax and Sasha is so taboo but yet so unbelievably sexy I was not able to put the book down and devoured it in less than a day. Sasha is so innocent but when she is pushed to stay with her stepbrother Jax for the summer while their parents are on a trip she is at first not pleased at all...until her eyes fall on Jax. Right from the beginning there is this strong pull between them that makes them venture into forbidden territory. Jax is dominating and oh so sexy while Sasha is the innocent 18-year-old that has yet to loose her virginity. The chemistry between them is undeniably intoxicating and will make you squirm in your seat.
This book does touch the taboo of a sibling relationship (although they are not blood related) and has triggers of bondage and dominance it it. I have read several authors that have ventured into writing BDSM but this was the first book that had me squirming in my seat (not even 50 Shades has done that to me). The scenes are written so sexy, dominating and yet sensual that they just ooze sex right from the pages. What I really liked about this book is, that Sasha often does have the upper hand in their relationship even with Jax being the dominating one. I hope there will be a follow up book because I would love to see where their relationship is going.

I devoured this book in a few hours !!! It’s my first NJ Cole book and it won’t be the last, this story is HOT!!!

First time I’ve read this author and probably my last. I found myself looking for more storyline and character building. However if you love a taboo book, with lots of very sexy scenes this book will be right up your alley.
Sasha’s parents are going away for two months and suggest she goes to stay with her stepbrother. She has only met him once when her parents got married and isn’t looking forward to spending her summer break away from all of her friends. However without the distraction of a wedding Sasha see’s Jax in a completely different light. Their attraction is obvious but taking that step into the taboo is daunting. When they do bring their fantasies to life the mercury is through the roof.

Steamy, taboo and oh so good!
I really wasn’t sure if I would like this book but I did. A lot. I will be honest and say calling each other brother or sister made me cringe at first but they aren’t technically related and it’s really no different to calling a lover a pet name as some people do. Once I got that straight in my head I was really enjoying this book. It had some really great bdsm scenes in it and I really liked the main characters. They were well written and very believable. The chemistry between them was fantastic too! An overall very enjoyable book with an engaging story and characters.

This is a beautiful.story of Jax and Sasha. The are basically strangers except their parents just got married and decide that Jax is the best person to watch over Sasha who just.graduated High School. Except...the attraction and innuendo talk is too much. They don't want to get caught and keeping it a secret is difficult.what happens when Sarah's best friend comes over for a week. Well the car is out if the bag and now they need to make a decision.

I absolutely loved this book! Jax and Sasha are made for each other. The chemistry between them is steamy hot and fantastic! The storyline flowed smoothly and kept me fascinated throughout and turning the pages. Overall an enjoyable book with wonderful characters, an entertaining story, a great storyline and a definite must read!

Fast
I loved how hot and heavy it got. The scenes were some of the best I ever read. Me personally though I felt it progressed quickly and would have liked some more teasing before the relationship started but besides that it was absolutely amazing and I want so much more!

This is my first read by this author and it certainly won't be my last. The stepsibling trope is another favorite of min. Jax and Sasha have fantastic chemistry. This story does not disappoint. I highly recommend.

In all fairness, This one was a DNF for me. I picked it up on a recommendation. I read about 20% and then started skimming the next 30% and gave up half way through.
The book just lacked appeal for me. It wasn’t sexy. The characters and the dialogue just weren’t appealing.
