Haunted Souls #2

Ghost Story

Rate this book
Newly-minted Ghost Detective, Jude Byrne, finally has his life in order. He’s got a job he loves, friends he can count on, and a partner he actually likes. Jude’s only problem is the growing attraction between himself and his partner. He knows nothing will sink their partnership quicker than giving in to those urges.

Psychic, Copeland Forbes, is settling nicely into Salem, Massachusetts. He and Jude have formed the perfect partnership, with the former P.I. researching the history of the places they are hired to investigate, while it’s Cope’s job to communicate with the spirits they encounter to either move them on to the other side or work out an amicable arrangement with the people now living in their home. So far, the duo has a perfect record and completely satisfied customers.

The detectives’ record is put to the test when teenager, Xavier Lewis, parks his bike outside West Side Magick and asks if Jude and Cope’s fee can be paid via weekly installments of his allowance money. When Jude tells the boy it all depends on the story he has to tell, neither detective is prepared for the tale that spills out of Xavier’s mouth. When the boy tells them about a ghostly woman in white that he thinks is trying to kill him, Jude and Copeland are all in.

The partners soon discover that not all ghosts can be reasoned with and that the risks of dealing with the paranormal are very real indeed. Will the Ghost Detectives be able to solve the mystery of the woman in white or will they become the next victims in her ghost story?

Audiobook review

I don’t know you guys… My main feeling after listening to this book is confusion. I’m so confused on so many fronts that I don’t even have the first clue where to start or what to think.

I’ve listened to all of the audiobooks produced in this universe but I still find myself majorly lost a lot of the time. I feel like I’m missing something, some back story that would make this story a bit easier to follow. There were so many tiny references to people and events that didn’t really serve any purpose than to confuse the listener. That might work with a print book, where you can have a moment to go back or to think about the character or event to fully understand the reference. But when you listen to the audio that will only make you lost. Not only losing the reference, but also the time spent searching your memory will cause you to detach from what’s going on here and now.

So to find out if my confusion was due to my own lack of memory of the previous books I went looking for a reading order, and boy did that ever give me the answers to my questions. There are three series intersecting in this universe and in my mind I assumed the audios were being released in reading order of the three. But you know what they say about assuming…. I found that we jumped 10! books with the release of the first audiobook in this series, and another 4 between the first and this one. No wonder that I’m confused about random people I’ve never heard of – or events that I can’t remember.

In theory each story does stand on its own – in that the case or ghost they are working on gets resolved, we get closure when the mystery is solved. But in reality there is also so much background story that keeps building, like children being born or growing up, more people are added to the main cast so to speak. And it’s not even that, it’s also the magical world itself that changes with the books. It started out kind of simple and straightforward, but now it feels like Pine is trying to add more stuff to keep the reader interested. But personally that haven’t worked, it’s left me confused and feeling like the roots and essence of this universe has gotten lost somewhere on the way.

While listening I didn’t feel a part of this story as I have with the previous ones. I’m a spectator looking in. There is a distance between me and the characters and not even Michael Pauley’s talents could really bring this book to life for me. He never gripped or made me invested. Mostly I do believe it’s because of the time-jumps that leaves the listeners confused. The story of the woman in white haunting a teenage boy and even trying to kill said boy was an interesting one for sure, but my mind and heart just wasn’t in it. Pauley is a solid narrator, there is no doubt about it, but even he struggled with maintaining the voices for the myriad of male characters in this book. He kept up the main ones really good, but the secondary and minor characters were all the same. It wasn’t bad in any way, it just added to the distance I felt to them all.

I’m not sure what I’ll do if/when more books are released in this series or universe. But most likely I’m going to pass on them if they are released out of order. I for one am not fond of feeling this confused.

Ghost Story

Pandora Pine

Arc Review Copy courtesy of LesCourt and Pandora Pine

One thing Pandora Pine brings to the table is a deft hand balancing romance and the secondary genre of her books. Sometimes one gets lost in the other, but I was just as intrigued by the ghost story the entity of the book, as I was the romance. I wanted to know what was going on with Xavier and the white lady as much as I was interested in Cope and Jude.

I like the variations in psychic powers and specialties. Jude's Phoenix and healing powers are unique to him, but Cope has an easier time talking to and seeing certain spirits.

Notes: Attila the Hun should never be used in this context. Why? ( Lol. )

Ghost Story is a fun page turner. I would recommend it to a friend.

This book does contain some content that may bother victims of domestic violence or rape. None of this is between the main characters. If you want more detail, feel free to message me, but I'm not going to post any spoilers in my review.

This is only my second book in this universe and from Pandora Pine.
There are a lot of side characters with families and partners, kids, ghosts, and even a vampire. I think each character has their own series, and a lot seems to happen of page....but I still enjoy reading this.
The ghost mystery here was super spooky: I need to sleep with my lights on - scary. So good! I'll just ignore the confusing side characters and can't wait to see what will happen next to our ghost investigators 👻

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and this one was as good.
Jude is a great character whom I love and Cope fits perfectly.
I think I enjoy this series even more than the original one but both are good and I think the books have to be read in order. It is very difficult to start this series without knowing Ten and Ronan

I can’t get enough of this world. This investigation was really scary & I felt so sorry for Xavier, what he went through absolutely broke my heart. Not only does he get abused by his father, now he is being haunted by the Lady in White. I think what scared me the most was that the ghost was able to physically hurt Xavier. What was behind the reasoning the Lady in White is haunting the house was heartbreaking. I can't get into details as it would give too much away, you just need to read it. Lets just say, the sick responsible parties got what was coming to them. I loved seeing Jude finally accept his Navajo side & we get to see his spirit animal, so cool. Also we get to see the progression of Cope & Jude's relationship. I liked how it has taken its time to get where we are in the relationship & it wasn't just a fast jump in bed. I don't think that the relationship would have lasted in the long run if that is what happened between these two. I can't wait for more books in this series.

Really enjoyed this one. Did not fin d it as frightening as some of the other readers.
Liked how hopefully Jude and Cope are on the road to a proper relationship.
I also liked that although this is Jude and Cope's series, the other characters play a big part.

I cannot say this enough: I *LOVE* this entire Pandoraverse. And yeah, that’s what I’m going to start calling it now that it has expanded so much! After the first book in this spinoff series, I was dying to see where this next one takes Jude and Cope, both professionally and in their personal lives. Jude is finally truly embracing this, er.. unique.. family that is full of the love and support he and Cope both desperately need (even if they won’t admit it). He and Cope are also finding their way together as partners at work as well as friends outside of it. And while I do enjoy their friendship, delicious sexual tension of this magnitude has to spark and ignite (again) at some point, right??

Right.

And daaamn, is it ever hot when it does!

One of my favorite elements of this book, and the series so far, is getting to experience Jude’s journey with him as he reclaims the parts of his soul he has suppressed for so long. The mythos behind it all is so incredibly intriguing and I can’t wait to learn more about Jude’s heritage and see him really become the man and healer he is meant to be. Oh, and let me scream this from pretty much everywhere, yet again: I LOVE LOVE LOOOVE JUDE AND RONAN. I love everything about them and their relationship, and my love for them somehow grows with each book. One of my favorite relationships in MM romance, in fact, and go figure: it’s completely platonic. I happen to love that too. And them. Mine. I mean.. what?

As for the plot, this is one good old fashioned ghost story with higher stakes than anyone involved is comfortable with, and a twist that is a bit spooky on its own but is made terrifying with the real-life consequences Xavier and the others experience as Jude, Cope, and our favorite merry band of psychics race to figure everything out before anyone close to them is hurt or worse. The general story of the Woman in White is one that is well-known in many areas of the world, many having their own spin on it. Pandora Pine’s clever take on the legend lends suspense and significant danger to the story, and the result is a few hundred pages of wonderfully enthralling ghosty goodness with characters we have all fallen for over and over again. There were moments reading this when I gasped out loud in shock and some that had me actually holding my breath, some had me crying while yet others had me almost crying in laughter. I need more of these guys already, and I am so looking forward to what is coming next for Jude and Cope!

Let me start by saying that I do NOT like horror stories, movies, or anything that even comes close to that genre. Now, having said that... I have found that there is a VERY thin line between what I can enjoy and what makes me sick to my stomach, and boy was this story close to that line!

I will admit, as I was reading this, I set my reader down and considered DNFing this one on several occasions. There were scenes that were "more" than I was prepared for, but I just had to know... you know? So, I pressed on, me and my box of tissues... grrr

I am trying to decide if this series is falling short for me because it is so dark (compared to what I normally read) or maybe Jude and Cope are just now starting to click for me? I'm not sure what that "thing" is that has made the other two series in this "series trilogy" so much more appealing to me that the first two books of this series just don't seem to have, yet, but I feel like it is slowly getting there... Maybe that's the whole problem, I like "instant" gratification and this series is making me work for it, hmmm...

Either way, if you are looking for that "sick to your stomach" scare factor... jump right into this one with both feet and enjoy because I did, enjoy it! It was a wild ride of emotions and things going bump in the night that kept me intrigued to the end. I suppose that is the sign of a talented author when they can take you out of your comfort zone and get you to enjoy something that you would swear could NEVER work for you!

Spooky, riveting, entertaining

Such an enjoyable book. This second book in the Cold Case spin off series featuring Jude and Copeland was intriguing and scary. When Jude and Cope agree to help a teenage boy who is being threatened by a malevolent spirit in his closet things are strange right from the get go. The story is well crafted and the spook factor is high. The spirit in this book is doing things we’ve not encountered spirits doing before here...we’ve got possessions, altering personalities, attacks on innocents...all creepy as hell.

I had a feeling right from Jude and Cope’s first encounter with the ghost that not all was as it appeared. The story unravels in an interesting way. Also cool is the way the story unfolding also gives us more of Jude’s story and solidifies Jude and Cope’s relationship.

Of course the whole gang is involved here and I was especially glad to see more of Cole as I keep feeling he gets short shrift to Carson in the other books.

The one warning I will give you is that if you like the stories unfolding in order you may want to read the novella Tiny Dancer first as there are spoilers here regarding that book which I found a bit disappointing as Tiny Dancer doesn’t come out for a couple of weeks. Seems it should have been released first as based on the discussions in this book the events there happen before the events here. Hence the spoilers.

These books aren’t especially heavy or long, but the mysteries are usually decent and I’m always down for a well rounded group of friends. Perfect for when you just want a little fluff read.

This book was so scary but it was uplifting in a way. I loved seeing the gang together. This ghost story was different and twisty and I loved every twist.

Jude was the star in this one and I'm glad it was. Even though we'd think Cope should be the focus because he's new and we haven't gotten a chance to love all his quirks, mainly because we don't know them all yet, but the transition from Cold Case to Haunted Souls needs the familiar. Yes, book one was all about Cope's situation, but that was more of an introduction and a laying out of their role within West Side Magick. This story is where the real transition happens because they get to hit the ground running and we have to see where they'll go with it. So Jude as the focus here makes a ton of sense. We've been given hints and abbreviated mentions of Jude's past up to this point, but with all the new feels Cope draws out of him, we get everything; the full picture of Jude is stunning. I love finally understanding his connection to his heritage and seeing him willing to embrace that part of him. Add in his subtle yet powerful acceptance of the newer, tender, deeper feelings he has for Cope and I'm gone for him.

I mentioned before that I saw Cope as a bland character, but more as a blank page that I had high hopes for in the coming books. We get more of him here; the pages are slowly being filled and giving us a bigger picture as to who he is and how he fits with the Cold Case crew as well as Jude in particular. His character is growing on me very quickly and I'm eager to see where we go with him. There are some know-it-all vibes that I get from him at times and they're usually directed at poor Ronan, which I'm not exactly thrilled about, but I think that as he finds his place with the Crew he'll soften and begin to truly blend with all of them without those moments of abrasiveness.

The haunting was incredibly interesting and I loved all the research they went through. It felt descriptive without seeming like I'm sitting in a classroom and brought up important parallels to the spirit world as they specifically interact with it. And the implications of increasingly strange and disturbing things from the other side bear large complications for both the Haunting crew as well as the Cold Case crew and I'm really excited to see everything that comes about from that. I thought this was a great first case for us to see how Jude and Cope deal with one another on a professional level before they add in the more romantic partnership. There was a good balance here that I was hoping for and I think it added depth to the story without one element overshadowing the other. So consider me sold on the series; I'm all in.

The Haunted Souls series is the spin-off from the Cold Case Detective world. While I believe that these characters would be lovable and heroic to anyone who reads them, it is definitely my recommendation to read both series in full to learn the complete history of the various people involved.
This series features the much adored Jude Byrne, former PI and current ghost detective, and his partner-slash-love interest Copeland Forbes, a psychic legacy witch. These men are funny, sexy, smart, and completely into each other. I love watching their relationship build, and I trust that it will be a great love in the not too distant future.
I won't rehash the storyline, since telling much more than the blurb would be too spoiler-ish, but I will say that this book has some very creepy vibes. Jude and Cope have their work cut out for them in solving this one, and everyone they love is in danger until that happens. I love how these men support and strengthen each other, and I enjoy the snark and innuendos they toss back and forth. I appreciate the focus spent on the large cast of characters that I love, the people who consider Jude - and Cope, too - family, those who cheer them on and calm them down. I love pretty much everything about this. The sexy times are limited, since these guys are figuring out how to balance their personal and professional relationships; but what they do manage to share is very hot! I can't wait to see the next steps they take with each other, while also jumping into new cases. I love how they work together, and I am planning on sticking with them on their journey. I have loved Jude for quite a while, but he's even better with an awesome partner. Jude and Cope are unstoppable!

Ghost Story takes place seven months after Ghost of Himself. Jude and Cope have settled into their partnership as the Ghost Detectives of West Side Magick, they're friends even though they're in denial about how much more they want.

When they take the case that teenager Xavier Lewis brings them things get scary, fast.

I'll admit this book scared me. There were several parts that were creepy and I didn't sleep the night I read this book because I was scared. However, I loved the story. I loved the way Pandora Pine wove the tale so that it fit in with the Cold Case Psychic series and made a little sense in some of the past events. The way she's able to weave both series together, without the reader really having to have intimate knowledge of both is great. But the stepping stones are there to get you interested in both stories.

As Jude and Cope get further in their investigation, they get closer to losing everything they love, they also get closer to each other.

I love how their relationship is developing slowly. They don't jump into anything, they are both broken and are slowly healing together and apart. When they do open up to one another it brings forward emotions neither of them expected, but they feel good together. I can't wait to see how their relationship continues to develop.

The case, the creep factor, the relationship building. It all told a wonderful story and I can't wait for more. Especially when they might run into some old, familiar faces from another Pandora Pine series.

I swear, every time it comes to review a new book from Pandora Pine it starts with Wow! But damn, this book is freaking awesome! There's such a good relationship story developing between our beloved Jude and Copeland with them now working together as ghost detectives at West Side Magick and alongside this there is fantastic plot line that is gripping in it's mystery, fear and worry for all of those they love.
Both men are showing more of themselves to the reader and each other but Jude just seems to be growing and allowing more of himself to emerge, especially since his healing act in book one.
This story involves everyone from the Cold Case Psychic world and at times can get a little dark but I found myself fully enthralled with what was happening, needing to know the outcome and how things turned out for the MC's, their family and the ghost that they are hunting.
Pandora has worked her way into my favourite author list with ease and with every book that comes out it just confirms how good her writing and story telling is when it comes to both her characters and the plot that they are involved in in each book. It flows really well, feels like a natural development throughout for all involved and I can't wait for the next story for the Haunted Souls series!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Ghost Story is book 2 in the Haunted Souls series by Pandora Pine and it can't be read as a standalone. Frankly, while I haven't been terribly lost without having read the series these books spin-off from, I think it would be a more enjoyable experience if you at least have an idea who all these supporting characters are.

I love Cope and Jude, but it was a bit frustrating at first that they had reverted to just being friends, especially since the potential for more was there simmering in the background. However, Ms. Pine didn't take too long until she got them back together, and while they're taking things slowly, I just adored them building the foundation to their relationship in this installment. I especially enjoyed that Jude opened up to Cope so easily, sharing things with him that he hadn't even shared with Ronan, who is his best friend.

The case was scary and intriguing and while it caused me some nightmares, I just couldn't put it down. I needed to know that they would all be alright, which thankfully they were.

This series just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to find out what else is in store for Cope, Jude and the rest of the gang in the future. Very recommendable!

This was so good. I was curious how Jude and Cope would navigate working together after getting together one night in the last book. Apparently they have remained in the work and friend zone, but both feel a pull for more. Cope has found his own apartment now that he is staying in Salem, so the distance has helped with that. This case comes up and freaks both guys out, though. Kids are affected which makes them frustrated and determined to help. Because they are so off-balance, Cope goes back to stay with Jude. These two are close. They really get each other. Their chemistry is great, and I appreciate how they aren't jumping right into a relationship. They have taken time for themselves.

The story itself had some freaky moments, but I really like how it all worked out. I could say it was a little darker than the original series, but I don't think that is the case when you think about all the garbage Ten and Ronan have gone through. The only difference is this is hauntings where Ronan mostly deals with live jerks.

I am loving this new series. I love the dynamics between Jude and Cope, and I love how intertwined all of the other characters are in this. Even though it is revolving around Jude and Cope, just like the other series, all the characters help each other all around.

Love this.

♡🌟(¸.•♥´🌟 "Blood of the innocents will be on your hands."

Ghost story is book two in the Haunted Souls spin-off of best selling author's Pandora Pine's Cold Case Psychic books. This story was phenomenal. The prologue set the stage for the rest of the book and had I not been a horror fan, it would have raised the hair on my head.

You know how some books just unravel and play out like a Hollywood movie? This book was it for me. Intriguing, delightful and a real ghost story. I was in awe of Pandora Pine's writing ability and her way of spinning a tale. Ghost hunter partners Jude and Cope are back, tasked to solve a mystery originated in the 1940's of the lady in white, who is terrorizing a fifteen year old boy.

As the partners delve into the paranormal, and try to solve the mystery, they and their friend's lives are threatened. I was never so excited to watch the growth in Jude as he took the helm and got back to his roots. Also, as he and Cope got even closer.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.

My reviews are my own. If you liked this book, I’m glad you enjoyed it. If not, I respect your opinion.  This is merely my opinion, so let's keep it courteous.

So I thought the series was going to be about them helping people, but it is not. The kid is going through it because of the MCs fault or past. Also, these people are supposed to be super strong, whatever they are, witches/psychics, but then all of these other external forces that suddenly appear are even stronger than they are. It seems like a very crappy plot overall. I mean, they keep reminding the reader that this Cope character is a generation's powerful whatever, but he is incredibly useless. Then the other MC is supposed to be this powerful shaman, but he is "not in touch" with his ancestors. Anyway......as ridiculous as the first book, unnecessarily long due to repetitiveness and info dump. I will also appreciate it if authors stop being so selfish in using all the characters they have ever created over and over on spinoff series because they are too lazy to create a new world. They expect the reader to go read other series, but if all of them are written this poorly, what is the point? I do not get why these books are so highly rated.

On to my next adventure, Happy Readings!!!

Action packed, intriguing mystery and a ghost story combine to make a incredible read. The writing is awesome, the writer weaves the tale and creates the world-building with such beautiful craft that it feels like a normal world. The story-line kept me glued to my kindle.

I am loving the Ghost hunting partnership of Jude and Copeland. They are very different men, but have so much connection. They have focused on their professional partnership, however this investigation requires them to offer some emotional support to each other. I enjoyed them getting closer in this story and that closeness felt authentic and as part of their journey. I am loving how Jude is discovering himself and growing as this series progresses. Jude and Copeland have so much to discover about each other and i can hardly wait.

This is book two in the Haunted Souls series and i think you really need to have read book one for this to be a meaningful story. I am enjoying this spin-off of the Cold Case Psychic series where we met Jude and the rest of the paranormal family. I so enjoy getting to see the inter-relationship with all the rest of their made family at West Side Magick.

Once again Pandora gives us a story that is so good you really will believe it's magic! I absolutely adore Jude and Cope. I greatly enjoyed watching them really settle into their partnership and their personal relationship grow as well.

In this book we of course get to spend time not only with Jude and Cope but the rest of the family too. When one day a teenager comes in and begs for help from Jude and Cope. Xavier is terrified because he is being haunted by a spirit he believes is trying to kill him.
So as Jude and Cope investigate and they get closer to the truth, secrets come out and not only do we learn more about both Jude and Cope but the spirits and what they hope to accomplish. This story is fun and really gives us those amazing moments that we come to expect, yet it keeps us at the edge with moments that just glue you to your seat.

I loved getting to finally learn more about Jude and Cope and can't wait to get a deeper look into who they are as the series continues. I also am very excited to see what is coming next for them, not only professionally but personally as well.
I highly recommend reading this book.

"A Haunting paranormal mystery"

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book but it is available March 5th.

This is book 2 in the Haunted Souls series which follows Jude and Cope working together as psychic detectives, in which they take on cases of hauntings in people's homes.

This story was spooky and haunting. You could actually feel the evil. I also liked that the mysterious Jude lets us in a little more and we learn new tidbits about his past. This book focused more on the mystery than any MM encounters so I would say this was romance light.

I felt like the actual "spells" that rhymed were a little hokey and it would have been more impactful if it was something more like a single word or phrase that carried out the spells intent. I also felt like Jude told the same story to a couple different people at different times in the book which just felt redundant from the readers perspective.

Overall, it was a good addition to the series and the cold case psychic universe.

This is another amazing story in the Haunted Souls series and I love everything about it. I was hooked from the very first page and I could not put it down. It is beautifully written, sweet, hilarious, scary, spooky, has some surprising twists, there are evil ghosts, lots of suspense and danger, a chilling mystery and wonderful characters. I love how Jude and Cope's personal relationship is evolving and how much of Jude's past is revealed as well. They are faced with a daunting task that may be impossible to solve even with the help of all of their friends but they will do everything they can to help Xavier even when they and everyone they love are in danger. I love that we get to see all of the characters from the Cold Case Psychic universe in this story and I can't wait to see what happens next in this incredible and exciting series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Pandora Pine's Ghost Story is the second book in her Haunted Souls Series, and it has everything we've come to love about her books.

Along with a fantastic mystery, we get a whole lot of humor. The ghost story is developed in a fantastic manner, and takes the readers on a lot of twists and turns.

Jude and Cope are tremendously delightful and will not disappoint you. This book brings them closer, and we get to enjoy the ride with them.

One of my favorite things about this author's books is that despite revolving around some awful situations involving death, they are infused with great characters and a tremendous amount of humor. I am not a fan of paranormal stories in general, but Pandora Pine makes this stories light and fun despite the horrific topics.

Ghost Story is riveting, amusing, and remarkably entertaining. I continue to be in awe of Pandora Pine's brilliance.

This was an excellent paranormal story that tended to be on the scary side, but not enough that it didn't keep my eyes trained on the pages as I eagerly turned them. Jude and Copeland like their new jobs. That is until a young teenager asks them to get rid of the ghost in his room. Soon they face a dilemma that puts their children in the path of evil or give up saving Xavier. We get to see the whole crew throughout the book which is a plus and see Ronan and Ten with their new baby. This book is so worth reading as are all of the books in this series and their spin offs. If you like mediums, witches, hunky men and adorable babies and good winning over evil this book and the series is custom made for you.

It repeated some scenes from the first book without needing too, almost like the author forgot that they already included these facts, like Jude meeting Abigail Churchill and how Cope reacted was practically identical to the first book.

Despite the books swapping perspectives between Jude and Cope, it seems a lot more focused on Jude. Of course Jude has a lot to work through but all of Copes thoughts are about work and Jude while all of Jude’s are himself and work and occasionally bounce to Cope, so we get a lot more of Jude than Cope.

I liked this one a lot more than the first and it actually gave me little shivers of fright at points. Overall this book was good and if you don’t mind a bit of information being repeated I recommend it for you.

A case with a twist!

Cope and Jude, who are the Haunted House Clearing team, is approached by a child who is being hurt by a woman in white.
The father is a bully who doesn’t believe anything his son says, and is angry all the time.
So they have to find a way into the house without him knowing.
The story takes off from there and it goes through psychic attacks of one’s closest to them.
Everything you think you know, is turned upside down and so twisted that I could not put the book down.
This is a writer I found quite by accident, and I am so glad I did. The stories are different than anything I read before, and I can relate to the characters.
We call it the sight or Mountain Magic, but it feels good to read books about acceptance in so many people.

Copeland (Cope) and Jude have settled in to their partnership. They are each living in their own places and haven’t yet given in to their feelings from the one time they we’re together. When a boy come to them asking for help with a ghost they can’t say no. This case as it turns out, puts a target on everyone they love.

So hard to review these books because the twists and turns really need to be discovered by the reader. Not the best book involving all the people in West Side Magick but still an entertaining and goose bump (in places) inducing story. Enough Ronan antics to give me my laughs. I enjoyed it.

I received an arc of this book.
