Knight's Dominion

Rate this book
Fight. Eat. Sleep. Fight some more. Chaos's world is raw, uncompromising and solitary - just the way he likes it. But when Hell's bid to conquer the earth escalates, the Knights need help. If only their best chance wasn't a beautiful demi-demon warrior who fires insults like arrows...and makes Chaos burn hotter than hellfire.

After she lost everything, Burlesque dancer Grace Paten vowed to rid earth of the demon scum murdering and enslaving her people. But one brutal, arrogant Knight stands in her way...the man who destroyed her world, the man who ignites her temper almost as much as he ignites her lust. The last thing she expects is a request to fight alongside him.

Only working together can win this deadly war. Yet Grace must keep a secret from Chaos that could not only test loyalties, but hearts as well.

Knight’s Dominion is book four in the Knights of Hell series by Sherilee Gray. I’ve been loving this series from the start. I don’t know if it’s because things are really ramping up in the war against the demons or if it was specifically Chaos and this book but WOW! It was amazing! This series really is best if read in order. You could read this as a stand alone but you would understand this world better, and get to know each of the Knights from the previous books, if you read the entire series.

Abs and wings.

Chaos is the leader of the Knights of Hell, half demon, half angel immortal men that were created to protect earth from demons. Chaos has watched as three of his brothers have found their fated mate, a female that was put on earth specifically for them. He has little hope that such a female exists for him. The war against the demons is getting more and more impossible. There just aren’t enough of them to go around. They are losing the war. Demons are getting through. At the same time, a vigilante type of group is running around fighting the demons as well, a group led by one very sexy and very infuriating female.

female blonde stripper - Google Search

Grace Paten is a Burlesque dancer at a club called Revelry. In her mind, Burlesque dancer is just a glorified title for stripper. Grace is a demi-demon, half demon, half human hybrids. Grace has had a strong dislike for the Knights all her life. They couldn’t do the job they were created for. She lost everyone that was important to her and she blames that on the Knights. She especially despises the leader, Chaos. But, she is also keeping a very important secret from Chaos.

“Why was he so drawn to her? What was it about her that had him zeroing in on her whenever she was near?”

Chaos and Grace were constantly frustrating each other, making each other angry. But, at the same time, Chaos felt an unexplainable attraction to her. He couldn’t get her off of his mind, all day long!

As the war against the demons worsens, Grace and Chaos realize that if they fight together, instead of against each other, they would be stronger. When Grace actually gets to know Chaos, and the other Knights, she can easily see that she was mistaken about them. They’ll do anything to protect the demi and also the humans. They hunt and fight every night to rid the streets of the demons. But it’s never enough.

The more time that Chaos and Grace spend together, the more they let down their guards and begin to respect one another, care for one another. Grace did frustrate me, though, in her determination to keep Chaos at a distance. I understood her reasons but I could see the pain it was causing both of them, especially Chaos. At the same time, things are getting worse, a sinister plan is in the works, and they are all trying to do their best to fight against the evil.

I could not stop reading this. Chaos surprised me. I didn’t think I would love him so much. But I couldn’t help myself. All that swoony alphaness!! I just can’t recommend this series enough. But, I might just say that with every one of Sherilee’s books. Everything she writes is amazing!

“He made her stronger. He made her whole. And she was never letting him go.”

∘ one-sided hatred to lovers

REVIEW
There wasn’t anything wrong with this one. Honestly, it was set-up from the start. I loved Demon's Temptation so much that it was going to be hard to compete with as is. Follow that with the fact that I didn’t particularly like Chaos, and that I really didn’t like Grace—well, the book never really stood a chance with me.

The push in a push-pull dynamic coming from the fmc is always interesting. The dynamic of enemies to lovers and fated mates could’ve been really interesting, but the body betrayal ruined a lot of angst.

I couldn’t stand the arrogance of either main character. Maybe if I’d liked them a little more, I’d have been more forgiving of their actions. Grace is said to be a good leader, but her lack of organization and recon made her feel disorganized and sloppy. While Chaos swallowed his pride and conceded to some of Grace’s points, his initial pigheadedness about his duty morphed into pigheadedness about his mate.

I usually love when an mmc begs, but here, it made Chaos feel slimy and predatory in a very unslay way. He had told Grace to stop resisting the pull, that no one else would ever be able to satisfy her because of their connection. He begged her multiple times despite her multiple rejections. And because of the lovely aforementioned body betrayal, he would justify it on the fact that she physically wanted it. While it may have come from a place of care, there wasn’t enough chemistry or affection between the characters (at this point; it does come later) to make what he said feel like it was true. He just felt sleazy.

For all my complaints, the novel really wasn’t bad. I had this come directly after the first book, I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed it. This is definitely a “it wasn’t you, it’s me” situation.

OW/OM DRAMA OM — Grace flirts with/dances on a sort-of business partner of her dear friend and boss. She is repulsed by him, but Chaos doesn’t know this and is obviously jealous.

Past OW — Chaos’s ex-hookup (and future main character of another series) makes an appearance, but there are no feelings or on-page descriptions of their times together
CHEATING no
THIRD ACT BREAKUP no
ENDING HEA — no epilogue; world is still in peril but the couple is happy and settled

AHHH!! I have been waiting for Grace and Chaos' book for the longest time! I absolutely love the Knights of Hell series and could not wait to read Chaos' story. It was everything I wanted and more. Chaos was alpha and growly but so swoony when it came to Grace. I could not stop reading!

We have been waiting for the broody and stoic Chaos's book for a long time but boy oh boy did this author bring it! I loved his connection to Grace. She was sassy and feisty and the perfect mate to Chaos. Their chemistry was fire and I for one could not get enough of them. I loved their storyline and can't wait to see what's next! 4 stars! ~Ratula

Chaos and Grace's book....the burlesque dancer and the leader.
A lot is going on in this book..Demios has upped his game by taking Rocco's mate to hell to further his plans for domination,Tobias is found and lost again,Gunner cannot "feel" his mate,I( wonder if she is "goth girl",)Lucifer makes an appearance, and Silas was thrown out of heaven! Whew!!!
While I enjoyed this latest entry into this amazing series, the heroine I did not like too much.I prefer a softer heroine and she was way too Alpha for my personal taste. There was also too much push/ pull on her part.I could not connect with her character and felt that the hero was more into her than she was him,my opinion.
Some prior couples make appearances which was great to see.
The love/sex scenes were erotic and combustible.
Wonder who is up next..is it Gunner and "goth girl"?Rocco???...
I do recommend this series if you are a lover of pnr and this author.

The stakes are much higher in Knight's Dominion. The tension is also higher. I loved it. There's plenty of action as well as sexy times. Chaos is grumpy and very no-nonsense while Grace is fierce and as much as a warrior as he is. I adored them. A lot happens in this book, most of it where the overarching plot is concerned not so good but man I'm pumped to see what happens next. If you're into paranormal romance that follows a band of warriors I definitely recommend this book and series.

Knights of Hell ROCKS🔥

I’m struggling to find words to convey just how much I ADORED and LOVED this spectacular next book in the Knights of Hell series❣️I’m at the point where I’m ready to recommend this for TV because it’s THAT GOOD😍

This story is long but man after waiting a while for it, it was WORTH it❤️ Chaos and Grace’s story is literally action packed, full of suspense, dominant Alpha male and a sassy and fiesty female character who makes me laugh even at inappropriate times. A few new characters are introduced and an ending I never could’ve guessed at😱 This spectacular series is a must read paranormal that is unlike anything out there and I can’t wait to read more😁 Looking forward to Gunner and Roc and maybe a HEA for Silas too....don’t worry Silas I’ll have a word with the author and see if she can find a woman for you too😜

I received an advanced copy for which I voluntarily leave my honest review😇

Knight’s Dominion is the fourth instalment in Sherilee Grays contemporary, adult KNIGHTS OF HELL erotic, dystopian, paranormal romance series focusing on a group of demon hunters known as the Knights of Hell, warriors whose birth was ordained by the mating of angels and demons. This is Burlesque dancer/Demi-demon Grace Paten, and half-demon/half-angel Knight of Hell Chaos. KNIGHT’S DOMINION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: There are graphic scenes of violence that may not be suitable for more sensitive readers.

Told from several third person perspectives including Chaos and Grace KNIGHT’S DOMINION follows burlesque dancer/Demi-demon Grace Paten as she leads a group of Demi-demons on their nightly fight against the demons wreaking havoc in the city but Chaos, the bane of Grace’s existence, continues to interrupt and threaten the group’s attempts to take down the demons. When a portal to Hell opens releasing all kinds of demons and discord, Chaos finds himself requesting Grace’s helps when the astounding number of combatants also reveals a Hell demon that is beyond their scope of battle. Meanwhile, a regular visitor to the nightclub Reverly, where Grace spends most of her time, demands more of Grace’s attention then she is willing to give. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Grace and Chaos, and the potential fall-out as Grace becomes the prize in a war between Earth and Hell.

Grace Paten knows the Knights of Hell warrior Chaos is her mate but our heroine has the ability to shield her true nature including the ability to shield her unnatural attraction to a man she blames for destroying her life but with her mating to Chaos comes a power that Hell is hoping to claim as their own. Chaos has no idea why his attraction to Grace is overwhelmingly uncomfortable and turbulent because her hatred for our story line hero is palpable and heart breaking. Unable to keep his distance Chaos will soon discover the truth behind his attraction, yet angry that his mate refused what should come naturally. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Chaya and Brent (Demons Temptation #3), Chaya’s sister Mia Westbrook and her demon hunting mate Zenon (Knight’s Salvation #2), Eve and Lazarus (Knight’s Redemption #1), Kryos, Gunner, Rocco, angel Silas, as well as Lucifer, and Diemos who is attempting to destroy the Knight of Hell, and take control of the women whose powers he can use for his personal use.

KNIGHT’S DOMINION is a story of family, friendships, betrayal and revenge; power, hatred, desperation and control. The action-packed premise is dark and gritty; the characters are charismatic, dynamic, and captivating; the romance is powerful, seductive and passionate.

Chaos & Grace's lust/hate relationship is a page turner. Enemies to lovers at its finest. The undeniable attraction, the stubbornness of both these characters and the hidden want / need for each other, will have you glued to the pages. Grace is a badass, a fighter, a survivor. She wont stop fighting to protect, and she sure as hell wont stop fighting her attraction to Chaos. The fierce and stoic leader of the Knight's. But be prepared, because when these two give in and open their eyes, sparks fly. Their connection will make you blush, laugh and root for them to get their HEA.

With new threats, and creatures crawling all over the city, the Knight's and their mates have a tough battle ahead. The Knights Of Hell series is action packed, from beginning to end. Every page brings new questions and threats to The Knights and the women who they will do anything to protect. Yummy romance, hot banter and non stop fights to protect the city from the creatures of hell, Knights Dominion is another great story to add to this fantastic paranormal world.

Meh. I really wanted to like this more than I did. A badass demi-demon who's a vigilante demon slayer? Sounds awesome, right? I thought so, but it absolutely did not live up to the expectations I had for it.

Grace for me was a very problematic heroine. She was independent, stubborn and headstrong. And she was angry. As in Grace had been holding a grudge and anger towards the hero Chaos and the Knights since she was a child. Of all the things I disliked about her that by far was of the top three.

Grace had unjustly hated Chaos and the Knights throughout about 60% of the book. She would sit on her high horse as if she was righteous in her behavior and actions. I wanted to smack her. She was so uppity and thought she knew everything but she didn't. Not even close.

And worst of all, she treated the hero Chaos like complete shit. And that was why I truly hated her. Oh she excused her shitty behavior towards him as her hiding in her grief of losing her family and not wanting to shame her dead family by being with Chaos because of what she thought she knew about him and his brothers and because she had heard her father say he didn't trust Chaos when she was a child.

What-the-fuck-ever. Not good enough! Especially....ugh. Especially because she HID that she was his fucking mate all these years. For real??? And fine, I could understand not wanting to be someone's destined mate without choice and hiding it. But even after her block fails and Chaos senses her as his mate she fights him tooth and nail on every damn thing imaginable.

I'm all for being badass and fighting to keep your independence and to be seen as an equal in a scenario where you're mated with such a dominant alpha male. But she was impossible.

I didn't respect her. She came across as emotionally immature and stubborn to the point of being stupid. Because of course she would run head first into danger knowing she shouldn't after they were already mated.

Chaos deserved better in a mate. She treated him like trash and liked to pick him up and play with him when he was useful. It was aggravating. And nevermore so than in the final chapters when Grace loses her mind over Chaos being injured and suddenly... SUDDENLY she realizes she's in love with him and she couldn't live without him. What bullshit. And tbh that is such a lazy way to get an ILY from a MC. Especially a stupidly stubborn immature one at that.

Ugh.

Chaos I really liked. I wish he got a better mate because he did not deserve the baggage and crap Grace gave him.

Another great tale in this exciting and fascinating series! As in the previous tomes, there is a lot of drama, action, mystery, angst, intrigue and suspense to be had. Since this world and it's general backstory is now well established, things here are pretty much just up and running from the get-go. In fact, we even know both of the main players already.

Chaos's mate is in indeed the ninja demi warrior Grace whom we met in prior volumes. The two are inexorably drawn together, even though he can't figure out why. It turns out that they are destined mates – something that she has been aware of for quite some time and has been blocking him from realizing. Only when her focus is gone and her guard drops does he learn the truth. Which doesn't help much, since she hates him beyond all reason and revels in telling him so constantly. Even though he has no idea what he could have possibly done to deserve her wrath. Eventually we learn the semi-valid reason behind her feelings. It still takes much time and effort before Grace begins to feel at all kindly toward Chaos. But he is finally able to show her by his actions, rather than his words, how much he cares about her and everyone else as well, and how much he values her as a partner. As with all of the other books, however, if these two had just communicated with one another... well, things would have been a lot easier for them, but a lot less interesting for us. LOL!

Of course, there is still a battle against evil going on in the midst of their personal drama. Things are really heating up, and the good guys appear to be about twelve steps behind and losing by a mile. Additionally, Grace doesn't help matters by making some rash choices and taking some unnecessary risks, including trusting some people that she really shouldn't. But with help from a couple of unexpected allies, and the sacrifice of an old friend, the knights and the demi warriors manage to hold their own... barely... at least for now.

We do get a few brief glimpses of all the major players from the prior books in the series, as well as other characters we've been introduced to. We also learn the identify of a few more individuals, and start to see a little bit clearer picture of what the other side intends to do. The only real question that remains is if the knights and their allies are up to the challenge of the ultimate showdown. The answer for now appears to be no, but hope springs eternal that some sort of power shift will occur to help them in their ultimate battle. And I, for one, can't wait to see what happens in the last couple volumes of this intriguing series!

3.5🌶️

Grace, side character from previous books, has been blocking, but also thinks she has no powers, as a demi.

She knows she is the mate for Chaos. He doesn't because of her block.

Until one night, she's injured in a fight and her block drops. He sees. They agree to mate - her basically for the enhancement of her powers - she can funnel her power into someone by touch then funnel hers & theirs out of them. (It's not super clear.)

Lucifer shows Zenon where the monster is. The knights chain it, then Lucifer walks in with Tobias (known to be dead) who is cut and sacrifices himself to take the demon back to hell.

Then Grace's boss, whom she feels is family, tricks her into getting into his car - makes her cut her link to Chaos, and takes her to the demon facility, thinking she'll join the demon cause.

Chaos goes almost crazy.

She's beat up, but kills Oden, who used to creep her at work. Then she's freed by the goth girl that helped her escape the cocktail party. Chaos rescues her, she goes to the hospital for injuries.

I liked this one much better than the previous. This one is the first that I feel really can't stand alone, it's too deep into the story arc, and there is a "pause" here for the end, but still more questions than answers.

What's going on with Rocco's mate?
Why was Tobias still alive?
Who is the creepy demon controlling the demon buildup on earth?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I didn’t read the first three books in the series. These characters and world were all new to me. I was able to follow along pretty well. some of the drama from previous books mentioned or hinted at in this book I obviously was not aware of or didn’t quite get the severity of it. Which didn’t hinder the story at all. I fell in love with the Knights and the Demi’s and their world. I was disappointed when the book was done. I was hoping to see Chaos and Grace have more fight scenes. There are characters in this book I would love to read more about Gunner, Goth Girl and Lucifer for starters

Chaos and Grace had chemistry from the start a lot of sexual chemistry. I think it was very obvious from everyone in story. Those two were combustible it was just a matter of time. All though I wanted to scream at Grace a few times for her being soo stubborn and not willing to budge. Chaos jumped on the train pretty fast once he figured it out.

I’ve already download the other books in the series so I can read them as well. I’m excited to continue the series until book 5 comes out cause I’m definitely getting it when it’s released.

Chaos is the leader of the Knights of Hell. Always serious, always tough. And being driven slowly insane by a demi who will not listen to him. Grace is tough. She leads an army of demi who aren't content to sit back and let the knights defend them. Not when they are more than capable of fighting for themselves.

I loved this book. Reading about Chaos trying to deal with Grace was highly entertaining, but as with the other books, there was both tenderness and steam mixed in with all the drama. The story was highly enjoyable.

I do have to say, this book was probably my favorite in the series so far. Grace learning that holding onto the hate, loss, and the pain of losing her family was holding her back from completely loving Chaos. As for Chaos, even the leaders are allowed to fall apart sometimes. However, it's important to get back up and pull yourself together and keep on fighting in this war against Hell. I wonder who is pulling the strings on Earth in helping the demons and Diemos. Another thing Chaos learned is that even the mightiest leaders deserve to have love in their lives.

I am hooked on this series and this book, like the previous ones I loved.
It was interesting to see Grace's struggle to keep the pairing from being something insignificant, when in fact it was everything.
It was fun to see all that macho Chaos fall hard for love, when his girl wanted nothing to do with him, even hating him for something that wasn't his fault.
Luckily love and fate always wins.
In the background the looming war, the daily struggle against the demons and the imminent danger of Diemos coming out of hell.
Gripping.

Chaos needs Grace.

Chaos is the leader of his pack of half breeds who protect the demis. His grumpy, has no game and is utterly clueless about mates and relationships.

Grace is a bad A vigilante who fights and wields her cross bows and her middle finger. She hates Chaos but he needs her when they loose Rocco’s mate (she’s a hellgate).

I loved these two strong willed demon fighters, especially Grace.
There’s nothing like fighting and the other F.
Recommend.

While I felt like there were too many sex scenes (two could have been deleted, as they appeared to be filler), the action and intrigue in 'Knight's Dominion' more than made up for it, hence the four stars. There were some big surprises and revelations in this one!
Chaos and Grace were very strong characters, and their story was just as emotional and heartfelt as the previous couples in the series. Wondering on who the next featured knight will be, I'm looking forward to the next book!

My Favorite so far in this series. I absolutely loved this one. Alpha Male + Alpha Female... Yes please <3 This one was an enemies to lovers trope. Chaos was a character I was intrigued by from the get go. I loved Grace as well. She was a total BADASS and stuck to her guns. I liked that she didn't give in to Chaos immediately. The angst in this one was phenomenal. My heart breaks for Rocco and I cant wait to read his book. Gunner's up next.

Oh my word….these books destroy me every time. This was another amazing story set in this crazy world. I have to admit Grace took a long time for me to warm up to because was just so dang stubborn but I loved Chaos so much. All of these characters are so well fleshed out and the story lines so well thought out. Loved it.

I liked this...like Chaos and i'm all for a kick ass heroine but i don't love an argumentative or 'humongous chip on their shoulder' heroine, which unfortunately, Grace was. I didn't really start liking her until the last quarter of the book when she finally came around and started showing some genuine feeling towards Chaos.

Excellent!! Fantastic!! Fabulous! Yes, I loved this book.
So exciting and interesting from page 1 until the end. I couldn't put it down.
I absolutely love this series. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
My only complaint is Sherilee's books are not part of Amazon's KU. I am currently unemployed and books are expensive.

Great series

I love these stories, plenty of blood, guts, hate, lust and love. Unfortunately this particular book had some bad editing, paragraphs repeated, causing confusion and frustration. But I persevered and did enjoy the ending.

I'm very character driven as a reader, so I can’t like the story when I dislike the characters. Grace is an angry and stubborn woman and Chaos is just bland.
My favorite moment was when we finally got to meet Lucifer!
