Quinn Valley Ranch #9

Addie's Adventurer

Rate this book
Addie Collins runs Quinn Valley Collectibles, the souvenir shop in town, and loves coming up with unique merchandise to highlight the different goods and services in the area. She has always been interested in advertising, and this has given her a way to bring all her talents together into one spot, and she's living her best life.

Jason Miller has his dream job too - he travels the country with a truck and trailer, writing magazine articles about the points of interest he sees along the way. He's grown a little cynical, though, and his articles lack some of the human touch that would really make him shine.

When Addie, his ex-girlfriend, writes a letter to the editor about his latest feature, he's assigned to visit Quinn Valley and write a new feature about what makes that area special. As it turns out, the most special thing there is Addie, but it just might be too late for them to mend the broken fences and find the pieces of themselves they lost so long ago.

Amelia C. Adams is a wife, a mother, and a novelist. She spends her days dreaming up stories and her nights writing them down. Her biggest hero is her husband, and you might just see bits and pieces of him as you read her novels.

She loves all things historical and enjoys learning about days gone by, but she's glad she was born more recently (she won't say how recently or not recently) because the Internet is awesome, and she's glad she doesn't have to wash her clothes by hand in a galvanized tub. She has hit Amazon bestseller status twice, once for A Clean Slate and once for A Clear Hope.

ADDIE’S ADVENTURER is a tender romance of two people who once upon a time were in love until their separate dreams could not mesh together and fear, mistrust, and anger pulled them apart. Each has moved on to create those dreams in other ways but the memories linger on. Now, because of one action on Addie’s part, they are brought together in the same small town. It’s up to them now to make the changes in attitude that is needed to get back what they once lost – each other. It’s not going to be easy, but when the love is real it’s worth the effort.

Addie and Jason both made mistakes in their past. There were many times in this story that I didn’t like Jason much. He is so closed off to anything but his own opinion and his fears. Addie was not without her own faults, but it was Jason I had the most trouble with during this story. It was wonderful to see some old friends, and their bunny with messages from the fairies once again. I love the crossovers that we so often get in this spin-off series. ADDIE’S ADVENTURER takes a hard look at the past, the mistakes made back then, and the possibilities of the future. I enjoy anything by Amelia C. Adams and this story was fun and heartbreaking at the same time.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

This is another really good story by this author that just shows her range of talent when she writes a story. I fell in love with Addie and Jason, but for Jason it took a bit longer. Their story of getting back together is one of redemption on both their parts as well as growing up to be able to reflect on their immaturity before, in a growing relationship. The quirky characters of Quinn Valley make it fun to revisit this town as the people who live and love there. Characters from the River's End Ranch series also show up and in this one, if you are a fan of the River's End Ranch series you will love Jacylns visit with her husband Simon and one of her bunnies to give Jason a good "what for" from the fairies.
This author will have you laughing and rooting for this couple.
I highly recommend this story and all the others in this series and the other series I mentioned.

Wonderful

This book has really made me excited about this series. I loved the River’s End Ranch Series and was sitting on pins and needles waiting on the next book. This series started off a little slow for me but bringing in Jacklyn was awesome.

Can’t wait for the next book. I think you need to do a family tree of the Quinn’s so that we know which family and who is who.

Loved it!

Another great Quinn Valley Ranch book. Addie and Jason are interesting characters and it was fun to read their story. My favourite part was a cameo in the book from a well known character that we all love (I won't give out more spoilers 🤣).

Jason broke Addie's heart and now has hinted her down to win her back. After all that was said and left undone can he convince her to take another chance on him? Addie isn't sure, until the fairies weigh in and open his eyes ~
