Harriet Muncaster studied illustration at Norwich University College of the Arts before going on to get an MA in children’s book illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. In creating the art for her first book for children, she was thrilled to have found a good outlet for her lifelong fascination with miniatures. She lives in Hertfordshire, England.

I adore these Isadora Moon books! They are so charming and fun. The illustrations are full of the most darling details that always make me smile. The stories are well-written, the characters all feel well-drawn. This one isn't my favorite in the series... it felt a bit chaotic and far-fetched near the end... but it's still a sweet, fun story and I appreciated that Isadora's family used their magic to help others.

En esta ocasión no me cayó mal Mirabella, quizá porque fue una dosis pequeña.

Me di una divertida con toda la familia.

Que utilizaran su magia para ayudar a los del Carnaval fue bastante bonito, aunque terminan causando algunos daños, no fueron tan graves, solo era cuestión de trabajar junto a los monstruos.

Otra cosa a recalcar es que al leer solo este libro y no toda la serie, no te pierdes de nada, ya que te presentan a los personajes, así que no es necesario que lleves un orden.

Hola mis coquitos, hoy les vengo a hablar de otro libro de Isadora Moon…
✨ Estructura:
Según el orden de publicación, esta novela va después de Isadora Moon y el castillo encantado y aunque cada historia es autoconclusiva, varios personajes son frecuentes en las historias.
En esta ocasión la historia se desarrolla en el carnaval/feria la cual no cumple con las expectativas de Isadora y su familia.
✨ Personajes:
En este libro el personaje de Isadora me gustó porque de todos demuestra ser más prudente y madura, toma las riendas de la situación y trata de mejorarla.
✨ Trama:
Para ser libros enfocados a un público infantil creanme que los disfruto muchísimo.
Aquí la historia comienza con un folleto anunciando un carnaval espectacular al cual Isadora quiere ir porque solo conoce los carnavales de hadas y vampiros ¿Cómo es un carnaval humano?
Después de convencer a su familia y que a la aventura se unan sus primos, todos van a pasar la tarde en el carnaval, pero tremendo chasco se llevan al descubrir un lugar vacío, en malas condiciones.
Y la razón de esto es: no hay dinero para el mantenimiento porque nadie viene y nadie viene porque a las atracciones les hace falta mantenimiento.
Por lo que pese a la regla de “no magia en el carnaval” la familia de Isadora empieza a darle unas arregladitas a los juegos pero todo se sale de control cuando los monstruos cobran vida.
Creo que un mensaje constante en los libros de la autora es “no juzgar sin antes conocer”, ya que aquí los monstruos de los que todos huían no son tan malos ni terroríficos como se podía llegar a pensar.
Solo es necesaria una oportunidad.

Kurang suka ama yang ini. Terlalu banyak magic dan orang-orang ga ada yang protes? Waktu Isadora ulang tahun itu masih bisa diterima karena yang menyaksikan magic mereka adalah anak-anak. Tapi sekarang semua orang yang ada di sekitar karnaval menyaksikan hal-hal yang tidak masuk akal di karnaval.
Andai ada cerita mama Isadora trus ngeluarin mantra obliviate.

Isadora uses magic to make the rides more fun because they were rusty and the paint was falling off.
