Ethical Issues in Women's Healthcare: Practice and Policy
Numerous issues confront women's healthcare today, among them the medicalization of women's bodies, cosmetic genital surgery, violence against women, HIV, perinatal mental health disorders. This volume uniquely explores such difficult topics and others at the intersection of clinical practice, policy, and bioethics in women's health care through a feminist ethics lens. Read this book for my Women’s Health Ethics class. Overall I really liked the book and the diversity of backgrounds of the authors. I loved their insight on some very controversial topics. I thought the book lacked in two areas 1. They would throw random sentences in the chapter to make it seem “inclusive” for minority groups without any additional explanations and 2. The repetition of information in the ending chapters was heavy. Great book for class and learned a lot!
