Poirot is supposed to be on vacation for the weekend with his friend Hastings, when a hotel guest's pearl necklace is stolen, so of course Poirot must take it upon himself to solve the case.

Another fun story of how Poirot uses logic & little evidence to solve a crime. Loved it!

I found this one to be much better than “The Affair at the Victory Ball”. The characters were stronger and had more personality; the whole story, especially the characters, had that classic Christie touch.

I will not be writing a review for all of these as they are structurally the same but I like the shorter mysteries, they are more cohesive.

A very short story, not one of the best Poirot stories but ok.

Even with Poirot practically telling him...Hastings is still oblivious...he wouldn't be able to find a clue even if it was strapped to an auburn haired hottie that he is always mooning over

Haha, I didn't realize this was a short story when I downloaded it on my Kindle for a plane ride. It was over fast, but it was a fun puzzle!
