Nickelodeon takes on the tween audience - with Zoey 101, starring Jamie Lynn Spears, l'il sister of "the Brit-ster!"
Being the first group of girls at a formerly all-boys academy has its big ups-as in, boys, boys, everywhere! Choosing "the one" is as easy as, "Eeiny, meany, mighty, Whoa!," isn't it? Maybe not so fast. As Zoey, Dana, Nicole and Quinn find out, some of the guys - this means you, Logan! - have "eyes" where the girls definitely do not want them!
Jane B. Mason grew up in a large family in northern Minnesota. She has written books for kids of all ages under many names and on many subjects, among them ghosts, Jedi, detective duos, princesses, twins, mean girls, and slam books.
Jane has lived in the midwest and on both coasts, but appears to have settled in Oakland, California, and writes almost every day at either a friend's dining room table or a little studio in her back yard, where she has a purple loveseat, a whole lotta books, and an odd selection of trinkets she has unwittingly been collecting since she was a child.
4.25 stars. In the first portion of this book, Zoey attempts to defend her brother Dustin from his math class bully. Her actions backfire, and Dustin becomes embarrassed causing a rift between the pair. Dustin eventually stands up to his bully, and the siblings make up. This portion of the book is the storyline of the TV episode Defending Dustin. In the second portion of the book, the group of friends audition for a play. This situation leads Zoey to develop a crush on Logan. It doesn't take long for Zoey to snap back to reality. This portion of the book is the storyline of the TV episode The Play.

In the first part Dustin gets bullied and Zoey wants to help him. In the second part Zoey get the lead role in a play. Two fun episodes exactly the same as the show.
