He’s forgotten how to be a daddyBut he’ll learn for his Montana Twins
It’s no surprise that Sawyer West doesn’t recognize the beautiful woman visiting his ranch. After an accident, he doesn’t remember anyone. Not even his twin toddlers. Still, something tells him he can trust Olivia Martin, who offers her help with the girls—and recovering his missing memories. Yet that trust may shatter when he learns why she’s really there…
This is a clean cowboy romance, and this is the 3rd book in the Montana Twins series. I have read the first book in this series and I loved that book. I have to say I did not really connect to the characters in this book, and I also do not think the storyline was really good. I found myself was boring was the time while reading the book, but lucky it was a short book.
There's been a rash of amnesia stories in the Love Inspired lines this year and I'm always amazed by the way each author manages to put their unique spin on the topic. Patricia Johns' A Rancher to Remember is one of the most innovative plots I've come across. Love that it's the hero suffering from amnesia which leaves him vulnerable -- and cranky and frustrated and so impatient with himself. And I also love that it forces him to be led by his heart rather than logic or experience. And when he meets Olivia, his heart draws him in. But their past is complicated -- a past he has no recollection of even though Olivia remembers every excruciating detail. The result is a page-turning, angst-riddled, emotionally gutting contemporary romance! With a cowboy! And sweet twin girls! Call me a happily contented reader. :-)
I really liked this book. When someone has amnesia, even for just a short time it gives you a perspective on life. I mean what would it be like if you had no idea what kind of person you were? Were you kind or not? hard worker? friendly? godly? What would we see if we saw ourselves from others eyes, would we even like the person we are? Sawyer is going through this in this book and he as twin baby girls to deal with while going through it. He knows he loves the girls but that is about it. This book is such a great story it grabs you and you have to keep reading it. Patricia Johns knows how to write a great book!
It’s crazy how hard we can let life become for us, especially when the toughest part is just forgiving ourselves. That seems to be the struggle that Olivia Martin struggles with when she comes back to Beaut to hopefully convince Sawyer to reconcile with his in laws after his wife’s death so they can see their grandkids. Olivia just needs help with her late mom’s medical bills so she agrees to help them in exchange for paying off her debt. That was the plan until Olivia realized that Sawyer doesn’t remember anybody and things are going to take time to work things out. Sawyer West is frustrated that he can’t remember his late wife, his twin girls and he feels drawn to his friend that has come to help him more than his late wife and that irritates him to no end. As Sawyer learns to put his faith back in God and his memories slowly start filtering back will he and Olivia be able to forgive those who’ve hurt them to start a new life together?
A beautiful written story about Love, Inspiration and Forgiveness! I love the character of Olivia Martin and was able to understand her pain and suffering...also Sawyer was truly a great guy who lost his memory tragically after his wife, Mia, died in childbirth with their daughter, Mia and Bella...(the supporting characters, Llyod and Brain, were also very creative and loving)...highly recommended....
