My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! I bought this book to read, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I own the book individually!
Secrets (Book 1)
This is a short story about 24 pages. It is a YA book with 4 friends who just graduated high school, and they are magical. This story is an emotionally packed rollercoaster. It is a truly fantastic and beautiful written story. It is true to life because sometimes friends or family can be clueless about things happening around them. Sometimes words accidentally hurt friends and family, but worse is when it is on purpose. I’ve seen families in chaos because of judgement. Love boundlessly and without judgement. You should read this story because it will move you! I cried…a lot!!!
I highly recommend this short story to remind you what love should look like and be without judgement! I can’t wait to see what T.M. Payne shows us next!
The Beginning (Book 2)
This is the 2nd short story in this series. This is for adults or new adults due to content. This is a short read, but I’m not sure on the page count. I highly recommend reading the stories in order because this story is about what comes after what happened in the first one. I love this series, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t usually like short stories. I love that it makes me feel something and yes cry!
Just like all major life events, there is what comes after and that is this story. Salem has come up with a plan. This was a quick read though I was screaming at the end because I wanted to know what happened next. Tension is building. I don’t want to give anything away, so I won’t. Salem’s parents are great and helping a lot. It seems like Salem seems like he is walking on egg shells to make sure everyone is happy. Will they all get their happily ever after? I want to know too!
I highly recommend to anyone who read the first story and was moved! I can’t wait for the next story!!
Life at Last (Book 3)
This is the 3rd book in the series, and it is a quick read only about 44 pages long. It is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence. I highly recommend reading this series in order because you will miss key information and together this series is more.
This book starts with a bang with trouble. This is about Salem and Bella starting their lives as well as Jinx and Enzo. Salem’s parents are always there to support their children and their choices. It is as it should be in all families. This book as the whole series touches on issues of bigotry and violence due to the insecurity of others. T.M. does a fantastic job showing the pain and strength that these 4 endure as they start their journey in life.
A Holiday to Remember (Book 4)
This is the 4th book in the series, and it is another novella length of about 50 pages. I highly recommend reading all of the books in this series in order because you will want the whole story.
I really love this series because it brings up real issues and the people it affects. I love how this family always sticks together and works to overcome anything that comes their way together with love and support. I especially love that it extends to their community too. I think the world would be a better place if everyone worked hard together especially with regard to being kind and supporting others. The love and lessons contained in these stories is what make them epic. There are all sorts of surprises packed into the 50 pages. I love reading about this family and community and hope we will see all of these characters again.
I highly recommend to any shifter fan especially if you’ve seem the pain caused by bigotry against any group of people and want a story of love and hope! I hope there will be more paranormal stories by T.M. in the future!

SECRETS - BOOK #1
This is a short story about a secret kept and the consequences it can cause. This is a beautiful story with a powerful message that we can all learn from. Caring and strong characters. I just loved it and highly recommend it. Fantastically done!!
SECRETS - BOOK #2 - THE BEGINNING
This is a short book and the second book in the series which continues with the four friends, Salem, Bella, Jinx & Enzo, making plans for their future journey.
They are going to open a security firm for the supernaturals who don't have the same access as the humans do. They will help with legal advice, counseling, medical help for the abused, a sanctuary and home for the ones that have nowhere to go, and security protection. All four friends will have a part to play in this endeavor. The firm will be called "Secrets Inc." This also is happening with the help of Salem's parents who have loved and backed the four of them from the start. It's quite an endeavor but Salem knows they all can do it. It's almost time for Salem, the lion, and his mate Bella, the dragon, to have their mating ceremony. Enzo and Jinx are finally happy together after the abuse of Enzo's parents which almost took Enzo's life. They are all looking forward to a happy future, but there may be trouble ahead.
There's an important message in this book. Parents are supposed to love their children, no matter what and be there for them in times of crisis to give them their support. (Enzo and Bella didn't have this). If they don't, please seek help, for there are many people out there willing and able to help you. I'm really enjoying this series and highly recommend it. This does end with a cliffhanger.

This is a fast read. All four of the main characters, Salem, Bella, Enzo & Jinx have come into their own. They have taught us some very valuable lessons for a happy and satisfying life. Always be true to yourselves.

This is the fourth book of the Secrets Series. Things have been going so well for the foursome-Salem, Bella, Jinx & Enzo. Then some hater decides to harass Enzo. Who could it be, well the security team is on it. The Holidays are coming and everyone is excited and there are plenty of surprises coming.
Just loved this short Holiday story which has hot romance, tears of happiness and plenty of holiday cheer. Love these four fantastic friends and highly recommend this whole true-to-life series!!

What an awesome set of 4 short and sweet PNR must reads! With smoking hot romance and suspense and unique plots with an important message of being kind, accepting people who are different, and stopping bullies that are sadly present in our real world... I previously purchased each of these 4 kindle books as they were released, but you can get them here in one boxed set! I honestly recommend this complete set of 'Secrets' to adult fans of fiction and I'm sure readers will be turning pages like crazy! I look forward to more works from Ms. Payne in the future :D

This group of short stories has a lot of promise. It touches on some very important topics, particularly one of acceptance, which I think was done quite well. A few things, it’s a shifter series but there wasn’t much shifting? I haven’t read a lot of these style of books so I was interested in how, why, when they would shift but it wasn’t really covered. There was some moments where I thought the story was going to get super intense and exciting but then that plot line was wrapped up in a couple of sentences. I didn’t connect with the internal monologue of the main character. I would’ve liked more insight into his brother, best friend, even mate. It just moved a little too fast where it could’ve expanded on some of the issues, like who was after Enzo? Why?
I did like the whole idea of the business, helping others who needed help. It had a great sense of family, love, acceptance. Perhaps using the term assault in regards to their intimate times wasn’t exactly the right term, that didn’t sit quite right with me.
Anyway, if you are after a quick series to pass the time, this isn’t bad. Maybe shifter stories aren’t for me but I know others will love it.

Book one is like a very quick prequel introducing the characters and more importantly the issues involved in the story. These issues are extremely sensitive and important and are handled well I feel.
Book two jumps forward in time but tracks back to fill in the background story. We get to know Salem and Bella much better in this book. Salem is a natural born alpha who is very protective, caring, loyal and supportive. Bella is softer and less confident, it’s great to see her confidence grow as the story progresses.
Book three sees a lot of action of a couple of different sorts! 😉 There is a threat by some rogue wolf shifters as well as true mating and bonding sessions for both couples. Both were written well and were extremely hot too.
Book four is a truly joyous book, actually double the joy. I am a bit confused by the timeframe but it is a paranormal story and fiction. The message in the story is again clear and valuable.
These four stories are quick and easy to read and do share important insights into life and values we should all remember and the reason for the extra half a star.

I loved this series. The story starts out with the characters and what their issues are in the story. It made the story better than ones I've read before. The characters are amazing. Jinx and Salem are what twin brothers should be. And Bella is the girl next door. Kinda ironic..lol..
