Gwen Riley is my former partner's widow and the object of my obsession. I've waited two long years for her heart to heal. Waited for a sign she was ready to allow another man into her life. I positioned myself to be the one she turned to and what did she do? Go out on a date with another man. Before tonight is over, my lovely lady will learn what I've always known--she belongs to me.Author's Note: Ryan's Obsession is a short, sexy romance meant to devoured in one hour or less reading time. Great for lunch breaks or those moments when your need for romance is greater than your time available.

3.25 Stars. (BWWM) KUB # 76. OMG! Jaw dropping! The hero, Ryan, is in love with the wife of his best friend and partnering police officer, John, the deceased husband of the heroine, Gwen. Initially, Ryan comes off as this creepy guy who is over stepping and interfering too much in the lives of Gwen and her son and Gwen comes off as a saint who has waited over two years following her husband’s death to venture out on a first date; then the truth rears its head, a ménage à trois, amongst Gwen, Ryan and John, initiated by now deceased hubby John. This revelation makes Ryan’s actions a little less maniacal and Gwen’s behavior a lot less saintly. As it turns out, Ryan sired her son and both Gwen and Ryan knew that and realized that John wanted them to be a family should anything happen to him and they moved to make it so. C’est la vie! Le livre est bon.
This was too short! Man wants his dead partner's wife and he goes after her. We get some background on their relationship (the mmc, fmc, and the dead hubby) which was eye-opening and unexpected; would have perfered this as a full story instead of a short one.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this short but it surely delivered. Ryan originally comes off as an alpha jerk, but the we soon learn that things are way more complex than they seem. Great writing. Great character development. I also love the succinctness of it all while still telling a very complex story allowing showing and not just telling. Great short read.
Short and sweet. Ryan knew he wanted Gwen. He was jealous when she went out on that date. Ryan finally let Gwen know how he feels about her. He finally got his woman.
Okay..the brevity of the story wasn't a problem for me as the reviews have all the warnings needed. Ryan and Gwen weren't strangers. There was a lot of history. But that whole situation between them and her late husband! Well I guess I'm just a prude because no way would I willingly do that. Just imagining it turned my stomach. Yuck....I'm nauseated. 😵 But to each his or her freaky own..right? I didn't bother with the other stories. I don't mind unconventional as long as it doesn't come wrapped in a layer of disgusting. But for you freer more adventurous types..read on! 😏
I was really excited by what was going to follow up in this book, but to my great disappointment it was more of a shove down your throat type of book.
There was no scene leading up to the big scene. There was no after scene where they would come across a problem. It was more a Bam, Slam, thank you ma'm. This really was a short story. But more so a straight to the point story.
I like how determine Ryan is to be with Gwen, but I wish there was more too the story.
This is the first time I've read this author. I didn't know what to expect but I was thrilled after my first story. Gwen and Ryan was not what I was expecting but I enjoyed the turn of events. Gwen is a widow of a wonderful man who planned for a possible future between her and his best friend and partner (Ryan). 2years after his death, Ryan was ready to claim Gwen as his bride. 💓
Nothing like a man staking his claim once the mourning period has past. This story could be longer and be an,awesome menage if the author wanted to. Great sexy short read. I understand having excerpts of other stories but they shouldn't be longer than the story advertised.
This was one of those stories that could have been a really great book. The story itself only goes until about 35%. I would have loved it, again had iy been longer. It was just so short that everything was rushed. Great premise though. This was my 1st read by this author so I'm not certain if this is her style or a one off.
This was as advertised. You can read it on a work break. Pretty straightforward story. Gers right to the point fast. Which is sort of a shame because the scene you're waiting for is also fast.
The actual story is only like 30% of the book. The rest is samples of her other books. Which, ok, fine I guess.
I enjoyed reading Ryan's Obsession. Good story and it held my attention from start to finish. Great chemistry between Gwen and Ryan. The story had a twist that made me like it even more. I like to read more about this couple.
Nope.....not enough. We need an entire book about Gwen, Ryan and John. We need to see how the three met, became partners, got married and turned into a threesome. This short read was very good but disappointing when it was over.
The reason I am not sure about this book is I thought it was going to be one full story Although I enjoyed the first story very sweet storyline. When I read the summary I don't think it mentioned that there were other stories with just one chapters each.
This a really a short. Quick, to the point, about 3 chapters if that many, good steamy sex though. The entire book is like a sample of a few books. I didn't go any further because books are not in kindle unlimited. Seems like good books thigh.
This is a very short interesting story about a woman and her deceased husband's best friend and partner. When her husband died, the best friend step in to take care of her and her son.
This is not my cup of tea. The man character has an ex-lover that is criminally obsessed with her. It is set up early on that he means literally if he can't have her no one will. I just don't want to read that kind of story.
Great short story. Only 4 stars because it really didn’t go to conclusion leaving the reader to imagine the wedding, if any, and others reaction to Ryan and Gwen’s marriage.
