Cable I was the club nerd. I didn’t see any sense in trying to deny it. And most of the time that was how I felt the most useful. Only, I was at a loss and hitting brick walls everywhere I turned. I wasn’t able to help my club out when they needed it the most. There was chaos all around and I wasn’t sure if there would be an end in sight. Kill the bad guy. Save the girls. That was the number one goal. Only, I forgot about everything else the moment I saw her in that room. That was the moment she put her mark on my soul. I only let her go because I had to. But the day would come when I would make her see that she was mine. Claire My life had been anything but easy. I blamed some of that on myself because I was forever making the wrong choices. But I was always able to pull myself out of them and I was lucky enough to have someone that was there for me every time I realized my mistake. Until I got myself into something I couldn’t get out of. I fell into Hell and couldn’t claw my way out. And what was worse, there were other’s I was helpless to save as well.
Eve R. Hart has a habit of weaving stories laced thick with romance. They often bounce between awkward humor and dark themes- sometimes making a scary combination of the two. It doesn’t matter how it comes, she just wants love to win at the end of the day.
Eve lives on the coast of North Carolina with their partner in chaos, three beautifully nerdy kids, and a ridiculously sweet dog. When they need a break, you’ll find Eve lost in a book, playing board games with her family, or whipping up something crazy in the kitchen.
I received this book as an ARC, the review below is of my own opinion.
This book reminded a lot of Boccas book where we get a lot of the suspense and action before the relationship between the two main characters. With a lot of heavy in the first 60% of the book the author does a wonderful job of inserting well timed comedic relief that had me bursting out laughing. Hint* The cover tells us more about Cable than we realize… Once Cable and Claire come together there is a sweetness about their relationship that took me back to how I felt the first time I fell in love. Cable is respectful of Claire because of the trauma that she has endured and there is a sadness because Claire has never had the luxury of knowing what it feels like to have a man want you for all the right reasons. Their relationship is very sweet and innocent without seeming juvenile. Eve R. Hart doesn't disappoint with the 6th book in this series and with the bonus scene leaves us anticipating her next release.
So this was a roller coaster of a book! Just wow! You literally get the best of both worlds in this book (a little bit of darkness and then light) Definitely felt like I got two stories in one. First we see Keften get what he deserved and then we get a sweet love story with Cable and Claire. As for the first ½ of the story – it got dark (but I love the darkness). And wow – Claire is so strong and endured so much yet she could come out so strong and independent was nothing short of amazing. And what can I say about Cable except he was the perfect match for Claire. He knew he couldn’t rush her and just kept waiting till she was ready before he went and claim her. Plus, Eve was great at making me want more…..more of Sketch and more of Iron and Petra (who by the way is totally bada$$). This book left me wanting more and I was super sad it had to end. Great book and definitely a must read for those who love the MC world!
Cable has a much darker start then any of other guys I beileve. Claire certainly has been has to hell and back. Seeing how their story plays out and just how grossly cute they are really was icing on the cake! Eve R. Hart really dug into how dark she could take things, and I loved it! Because it was balanced wonderfully with how sweet and adorable things can be as well. Claire is one hell of a strong girl and seeing her clawing her way to a happy ending was inspiring! Dont miss out on seeing these boys swinging into action to remind you how badass they are!
Cable slowly pulled me in.Claire and Cable are cute together. She is his perfect match. I found myself going through a range of motions with this one. I found I had all the feels while reading this. Cable is an enjoyable read. I hope we get Iron next?! Please? ARC given in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a great addition to the series. It seemed almost like two separate books the first half a dark, suspenseful and action packed nightmare and the second half a sweet, healing, love story. I was happy to see Cable and Claire move forward and find happiness with each other.
Loved loved loved Cable's story. He's so god damn cute with his 'thing'(read the book you'll find out!!!!!) Poor Claire she has/had such a shit life till Cable. As usual a brilliant read, this series just gets better and better, I so don't want it to end. As with all of this series you don't need to have read the others but to get the full effect its better as lots of the other characters turn up. Thanks Eve for another great read.
There is so much that can be said about this book. I think everyone 'knows' it's a rough, hard and dangerous life on the streets, but thankfully, most of society don't 'really' know... We also know that tbere are a lot of bad people in this world and good people get caught up in their webs all too many times. This is a hard book to read in many ways, but sometimes a light needs to be shone onto the evil that some people are capable of. But then we have Cable... a strong man with a confident, loving heart. Once these two get together, it's great to feel the love ooze from the pages. Absolutely loved this book and can't recommend this series enough.
I love this series and cable and Clare’s story did not disappoint take not of the trigger warnings. Well written with just the right balance of action drama and soppy stuff I want me a cable
This is a 2 part book; a before and after. Before they found Claire and after they found her. The before is quite intense, lots of violence and possible triggers for some people. The after is the love story between Cable and Claire. You will have to wait until a little over halfway through the book for the romance, but it will be worth the wait.
I just love Eve R. Hart and her beautiful love stories I never wanted the book to end but couldn't put it down and did it in one sitting I need Iron's book but can't wait for Mouse's story People should take a chance on this author and her amazing Steel Paragons MC series
