The book is quite good as an introduction to the INFJ personality type. It's like it says in the title, it's a handbook, and as such very clearly made to look up and quickly turn to different parts of the book for if you need to reference something in particular.
It's not particularly in depth, and I would say that you can find most of that which is written in here somewhere else on the internet in different blogs and maybe even in conjunction with personality tests. However, having it all gathered together in a handy, physical, book is quite nice, so you don't have to keep track off all the different webpages.
Just be aware that if you're going searching for more in-depth analysis of this personality type, this is not the book for you. It breaks down your four cognitive functions and gives a short description of them and then advice/analysis on different parts of an INFJ's life.
So it's good as a handbook, will have it for if I need to quickly reference something that it's covered again.
Very straightforward and insightful. Just on a personal note, it made me a tiny bit sad that I'm an only child when she mentioned INFJ's are usually the one siblings go to in a family for advice. I wanted to give that advice! Tell them what to do! Never got the chance.
This was unbelievably accurate to my personality, which made me feel very seen and that I had the beginning of understanding how to improve my coping and success levels in life and relationships.
It was interesting to read about traits in myself that I wondered if anyone else had. I like people but definitely need hours of time alone or I feel agitated and exhausted. I always thought that made no sense. Noone else seemed to be like that. I am happy I am not alone.
This was a good book for an INFJ or for someone in a relationship with an INFJ. I liked the organizational format and I definitely learned some new things but it was also very concise and repeated many of the same things. I just wish there would have been a little more depth to the information but other than that is was a good read.
As an INFJ, this book is very informative. A great read for me since I enjoy research, advice, and topics to understand more about myself, especially when it comes to MBTI.
As the partner of an INFJ there’s not a lot in here I didn’t already know but some of the information given served to remind me about some of the needs of his personality type.
