Fast, fun, flavorless....

Few characters, but not much development of plot or characters. Some confusion over time to the important competition, and after all is well in the world. For the complex relationships created, the interaction was thinking. Spelling and typos created confusion of who was intended when descriptions got scrambled for who did what, with John linked to both Lee and Phil in the same sentence when it was intended to be Phil with both.

Quick paced story with short focus on events and simplified reactions and conversation. Not a very exciting story, but could have been much better if longer and more detailed.

Good story of recovery! Lee needs to medal to keep his swim scholarship. Josh estranged from his alcoholic dad, Phil. Phil returns trying to reconcile after being in recovery and putting his life back together. John knows him as the best swim trainer in the county and asks him to train himself and Lee. Then Lee and Phil fall in lust. What could go wrong? Can Phil hold it together and train the boys? Can John forgive his dad? Can Lee and Phil have a professional and a personal relationship? Nice story. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Good story about a young man falling in lust then love with his best friend's father. John's dad, Phil, had abandoned his family many years earlier and has now come back to make amends and try to reconnect. The attraction between Phil and John's friend Lee endangers those efforts as well as Lee's scholarship. Lee is caught between whan he wants and the guilt he feels that he is betraying his friend. This is an emotional story of guilt, secrets, redemption, family, sacrifice, friendship, and love.
