After a well-deserved slumber, Derek wakes up to a few changes. His elf went off on a quest to save the elementals without him. Despite his concerns that this may lead to another disaster for someone, he has to admit there's a lot requiring his attention. New portals open, new possibilities and horizons lay before him. It is time to find out where the other permanent portals go to. This may incidentally narrow down where the army of demons is headquartered in, however with the dimensions locked down and chained up, he may have to travel the hard way. So many things to do. So little time.
With the second demon invasion on the horizon, Derek attempts to get a coalition of allies to face it. At least in between his more important research projects. However new threats continually distract him, such as vampire gods, aliens, and interplanetary attacks. Why is it always so hard to get a moments peace to read a good book?
Daniel grew up reading fantasy, science fiction and playing various RPGs. He has enjoyed sharing his worlds as a GM (Game Master) and thought he would share some additional stories he thought up.
Born in Canada in 1969, he moved to Chicago when he was about four years old and then a few years later moved again to New Jersey where he finished his school years. He is married and has two daughters. He presently makes his living as an engineer in California.
Good Read A Shuffling of Planets by Daniel Ruth is a good read. This is a third book in the series, and I probably should have read the first two. I could follow along in the story, but there were pieces I didn't quite get, or weren't concluded in the story. It's an interesting fantasy story with twists, but it feels a little slow pace in the beginning. However, I look forward to reading more by this author, and that may mean reading books 1 and 2, and then reading this one again to get the full effect of the story. This book is definitely recommended by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.
I adore the MC so, so much. He is what makes this series awesome along with his Apprentice Beth. In fact if it wasn't for the bad editing job this would be given a higher rating. Come on! Dragons. Need I say anything more? I am eagerly anticipating the fourth book by a great author and urge you to try this series.
I enjoyed this book but like the other two in the series there should probably be one more pass for editing. Nothing bed with the spelling but there are a few repeat words and the occasional wrong word thrown into a sentence that makes you reread it it a few times. Other than that I can’t wait for book 4
Been following the series and the humor and characters have remained consistent and well done throughout. Definitely one of the better self published titles out there. Keep them coming.
