This eclectic selection of micro-fiction encompasses stories, poems, glimpses, fragments and even a tiny playlet. From nature to sport; from despair to joy; from culinary doctors to sailing pigs.
The material was provoked on to the page by random ‘prompts’ and as a result of a break-up, a breakdown, and an unbidden desire to complete a project – at last.
With clarity, surprise and wonder this book will take the reader on a remarkable and unforgettable journey, in which they will encounter comedy, mystery and despair as these evocative pieces transport them to other lives, other worlds.
At times dark. At times joyous. At times hilarious. This is what a collection of short (micro) stories should be. A different flavour every night and always engaging.
So Someone Does, is a wonderful collection of daily thoughts, poems, short stories, and micro-fiction; all of which are a true delight to read. David’s stories never get old and leave the reader to ponder the sometimes hidden meaning behind all of his lovely words. A lot of what David writes is relatable as well; often causing the reader to end up on their own trip down memory lane. Such an incredibly fun, and well-written book, and my only hope is to see more written works from David in the near future.
