My life isn't supposed to be this complicated.
At least that's what I thought... until I met Jax.

I was in for the most boring three months of my life. With my best friend and sister gone for the majority of summer, I was stuck by myself in Cedar Falls, our small town in Indiana. But then he showed up on my front doorstep - my mysterious, insanely attractive new neighbor.

I was instantly drawn to him. It was like there was a magnetic force between us, unlike anything I'd ever felt before.

When a series of strange events happen, it seems like there's only one thing that links them all together: Jax and his family arriving in town. Little did I know, I wasn't only imagining it. Jax has a secret, one that affects both of us.

He's a werewolf.

I've fallen completely head over heels for a werewolf, which is just as dangerous as it is stupid. But I don't care. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to be with him, even if it means putting my own life on the line.

But wait.

My life was already on the line, even before they came to town.

I brought this book as I loved the cover and so thought I would give it a try, story dragged out but I kept reading and then BAM.. plot is a exactly the same as FALLEN BY Lauren Kate .. CHANGE it from Angels to your werewolf and you have the same thing .. really disapointed that you can't come up with your own story or plot...

Will not be reading anymore from these authors again

I received Wolfbound in return for an honest review from the authors.

Camryn's summer was starting out to look bleak as her sister is off to summer camp and best friend is spending it in New York. While standing on her porch she has a moment with a cute guy who drives by. Next thing she knows he borrowing her shovel to work on his garden. Camryn's can't deny the growing attraction to Jax as he continues to push his way into her life but she's unsure if he feels the same way.

Jax and his family aren't the only new people in town this summer, a new girl has moved just down the street befriending Camryn. Those aren't the only strange things going on as her sisters rival has disappeared days ago. Strangers who seem to know Camryn seem to be showing up all around and her sister knows more than she is letting on. When a party changes everything for Jax and Camryn they will be forced to make a change or be doomed to repeat their mistakes.

I liked Camryn right from the start she's a sweetheart and Jax just knows her so well. I wasn't sure about the insta love, to be honest but this goes so much deeper than I had expected it to so it works. I like the chemistry between Camryn and Jax it's sweet he know's her so well and when he took her to buy books he had me sold.

I've had my eye on this one for a while and when I was given the chance to review it I jumped at it. Wolfbound is a sweet paranormal romance that captures the heart right from the start. You can't help cheering Camryn and Jax on as they try to beat the odds which seem to be against them. I really enjoyed the werewolf concept it was interesting to see the authors take on werewolves. I enjoyed the authors writing styles the story was captivating and hard to put down I had to know what would happen next. This is the first in an exciting new series perfect for fans of paranormal young adult novels.

Disappointed

I gave this book a chance since one of the reviewer said it might surprise me. Regretfully not. The storyline line just dragged on forever and I got bored at 50%. The part where the h just goes for a walk at night when another kid just disappeared was unrealistic. The h was so clueless. Even one of the character called her that. The whole I am nothing and my BFF and sister are better than me repetitive monologue just made me not want to continue reading.

The h was pathetic and had very low self esteem. The mother wanted her to spend a lot of time with the guy she only met once. Again not realistic. The plot maybe different than the usual werewolf story but it was too slow, not relatable, and not captivating enough. There was no development until at probably after 70% but I just skipped to the end. I can tell this was going to be multiple books in the series that pretty much be the same as mentioned by another reviewer on book 7.

Okay I gave this book a chance but I regret wasting my time when i was left unsatisfied reading this book. The writer does have a talent of showing the emotions of the characters instead of telling though. If you don't mind slow plot build up and reading about a low self esteem female who is clueless, go for it. For me, I wouldn't waste any more time and money on this series.

What I liked:
-Romance. I liked the relationship between Camryn and Jax. It seemed to progress and develop at a natural pace, without feeling too rushed or too serious too fast. I liked that there were no dramatic declarations of love between them after only days of knowing one another. It seems rare these days to find books that don't dive right into love.
-Writing. The writing was good enough to keep me interested in the story, though it could have used more description to flesh out some of the scenes. Everything happens so fast and no time is really taken to set the scenery.

What I disliked:
-Plot. It felt like nothing really happened for the majority of the book. Things only really start happening in the last two or three chapters, and even then, it's not very exciting or satisfying. The majority of the book is spent on boring day to day activities, while the more exciting aspects are overlooked in favor of Jax and Camryn's relationship. There needs to be a balance between plot progression as well as relationship growth.
-Length. This wasn't even really a book. It was more of a novella in length. 56,000 words, which equals roughly 220 pages. That's not a full-length book. I've been pretty disappointed in the length of these books. They could easily be condensed into one bigger book, but instead are released as shorter ones in rapid succession, and we're being charged full price for a book that's not full length.

Overall, it was a decent book that entertained me for a short afternoon, but there was nothing spectacular about it. If you're a die-hard werewolf fan, give it a chance and you might find you like it. If you choose to pass on it, you're not missing much. I love these writers and think they have some amazing ideas, but I'm not sure this series is worth reading. 3.0

Spoilers ahead as there is a rant about some of the inconsistencies in this book...

So, this might be sold as a paranormal YA romance, with werewolves, but the “revelation” only appears 80% through the book. Granted, the main protagonist Camryn (whose name is really weird to me by the way, where did the authors find this name ???) is the only one who doesn’t seem to put the obvious clues together... SIGH, because when I say obvious, the love interest’s brothers drop words like full moon and soul mates...
Also did I not mention that Camryn is supposedly an avid reader of paranormal and fantasy books ??? One would think that she would pick up on the clues early on ?!?!
But I guess Camryn is too lovesick with her werewolf Jax to worry about anything but him and how he might or might not be interested in her to think about anything else... even when she has a stalker staying in front of her house at night and finally breaking into her room !

But let me get into why I really hated this book and was considering lowering my rating to a 1 star, and that is the writing. There are obvious inconsistencies that even a second draft should pick up on in either plot holes or character inconsistencies, since I picked up on them in my first read...
Like for example, Camryn gets very confused that Ajax knows her middle name, when her mother called her by her full name only a few chapters before in front of said Ajax (and that happened only a few days before at most in the narrative)...
Another example of plot inconsistencies, in the final reveal (cannot say plot twist because I saw 90% of it beforehand), Jax tells her he and all his family are werewolves, and she is his soul mate reincarnated, as there is apparently a curse that binds them. She basically every time meets him, falls in love at first sight, and starts the whole soul binding process by kissing him for the first time, but then she dies one year after that for... reasons ? Lol, they mention a curse, but nobody seems to wonder where that comes from ?... anyway, Jax says that this is the fifth life in which he has met her in his around 200 years of life. However, with a bit of math (since apparently her sister AND mother also reset their lives with her), you can say that Camryn is 17 and her mother at least had her at 18 so each life cycle is at least 35 years... multiply this 5 times, and you get 175 years... Sooo, WHY is Jax saying that Camryn has lived at least five times that he knows of ? There cannot be a possibility of other lives in the timeline we’re given...

I am sure I am trying way too much to give sense to this when the authors didn’t seem to give it a lot of thought... but I may be too harsh on this and they may have wanted to leave this for the continuation of this series. However, as the inconsistencies started to pile up, I became less and less interested to continue the series, and even though the book ended with a cliffhanger (Camryn’s sister is about to be forced to marry a werewolf from their father’s pack), I have no interest in reading the sequel...

I love these authors and was really excited to see the start of a new series in the shifter realm! I love the setup to the book and can't wait until the next one! Five glittery stars!

(Amazon posted review)
I don't know how I missed writing this review as I have already reviewed all the subsequent books in the series. So here goes.
It's a matter of opinion based on other reviews, but I LOVED this start to a new series by these two awesome authors. I've yet to be disappointed by them. This was a shifter book, soul mates, and the whole werewolf she-bang. If this is not something you enjoy, don't read it. No nasty review involved.
There were so many different twists that really build the book and the plot. It's a young adult paranormal romance book and was everything I wanted to read. Five glittery stars!

3 stars. The story was good but not one i really enjoyed and want to read again. I found it a bit too cheesey in some parts but would recommed it to anyone who wants a quick and light read.

I thought the cover and just under 4 star review looked promising but boy was I wrong.
First off it moved way too quick. A strange guy stares at you from a car as it drives by and then he later comes and asks you for a shovel and you step outside with a stranger?? And then kind of flirt with him and you ask him questions yet he doesn’t answer and when he returns the shovel to your mom she loves him but he’s kind of a jerk?? And then you get in a car alone with him to drive 30 miles away and he mysteriously disappears with another stranger who was following you??
Yeah- I don’t think so. She just knew and felt something, he was different.
This was definitely not a book for me and the main character “giggled” too much.
I recommend it if you like VERY fast pace paranormal romance.

Conflicted/ Storyline Feels Inconsistant

After finishing this book, I find myself conflicted about the series as a whole. While the characters are compelling and well-developed, the storyline feels inconsistent, with noticeable gaps that disrupt the flow of the narrative. It’s frustrating because the potential is there—the characters could carry an incredible story, but the plot doesn’t always rise to meet them.

That said, I’m invested enough to pick up the next installment. Maybe it’s curiosity, or maybe it’s my refusal to leave something unfinished, but I’m holding onto a thread of hope that the story will improve. Despite my doubts, I’m willing to see where the series goes. Here’s hoping the next book fills in the gaps and lives up to its promise.

OMG I loved the first book in this series! I was sucked right into the book and didn't want it to end. Of course I needed to get the next book in the series immediately.

Camryn (AKA Cammie): Both her sister and BFF left her for the summer and she was worried about being bored. Well everything changed once she met Jax.

Jax: The new sexy neighbor that Cammie falls really hard for. He is so mysterious and wants Cammie, but also wants her to stay safe.

The story line was great! I love the whole soulmates storyline! That ending was intense though! If you have not started this series, I highly recommend you go grab book 1 now!

Kiss

Camryn is abandoned by her sister and best friend. Zoe, her bookworm sister, went to pre-med camp. Bryce, her best friend is in New York, NY, visiting her father. In a one her one stoplight town, Camryn is set for a boring summer. Then new families move into town. A girl Camryn’s age moved into the house four houses down from hers. Her name is Roxy and her middle name is Trouble. A family of seven kids moves half a mile down her dirt road. Five boys and one daughter. Camryn and Jax meet for the first time and kiss in the forest. When they meet again they kiss in Jax’s room. Then the weird stuff really starts. Not sexy time, furry time.

I believe this is the first book I've read from this author. I love how it grabs you from the first page. Keeps you on the edge of your seat with the story especially the mystery part of what's going to happen why it's all a secret. Then it leaves you with a cliff hangar for the next book. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't like reading swear words. There's only a couple and I read over them. Also, it seemed a little wordy for me at times so I skimmed through the wordy parts. This is my own preference. It's been a while to actually read a book all in one day!

Where should I start first of all Cammie said she was a senior in high school, but her sister went to school with her and was year older. How is that possible unless Cammie moved up a grade and considering her sister was the smart one, that still would not make sense. Also Cammie mom said her whole name in kitchen when Jax was eating pancakes. Then later on she asked how he knew her middle name. And how about sometimes a dog seems aggressive toward Jax and then nowhere around. Authors please read your own stories and reread, because these mistakes coul have been avoided

I wanted to love this book so much, the beginning had me intrigued but it slowed down for me and the characters were linear for me. I wanted to be surprised and moved but I was left guessing before arcs were revealed and feeling underwhelmed. I am going to give the other series in the book a read because I do not want to judge it based on one book. Jax seemed awkward and whiney and Camyrn seemed like the worse friend, sister, and daughter after finding Jax. Sadly nothing got real good until the last 2 chapters and there was a lot of filler writing on mundane activities.

Mixed Feelings...

First, I think I’ve read this ebook before, but it,apparently, didn’t make much of an impact. I like Camryn and Jax. They’re pretty flat as characters, but they have potential, much like the story. Book one is hundreds of pages of the same thing happening over and over. There is no true rising action or climax. Still, I wanted there to be. I kept reading in hopes that something would happen. I don’t know if it’s worth it to read book 2. If I do, I’ll review it. Until then, I suggest saving your time and coins.

Fast

This read can be pretty quick. I enjoyed the idea of romance that lasts through the ages. Reminded me of hush, hush. Just not as well thought out. The pieces were there but the whole plot got a tad boring. Add in the way over protected mother and it was annoying. Lock the door was said so many times it could be a hazardous drinking game.
If you like gated mates and need a quick read this is it

From the very first page I was immediately hooked and the book kept me turning page after page until I had finished the entire book. It was a steady pace and always kept me interested. I particularly loved the build up of the storyline and it kept you guessing what was going to happen next. Im interested to see where the next book heads with this storyline. This promises to be an amazing series.

Boring summer made interesting with new neighbors

Such a cute book. Camyrn's sister and best friend are both off to different places for the summer leaving he home. But a few new neighbors take what she thinks will be a boring summer into a fun, interesting one! Not to mention all the craziness going on in their town like a missing, presumed dead teen.

Couldn't get past the writing

Yikes. I started reading this and my first thought was that the writing was elementary. So very basic and choppy. I thought I saw a lot of reviews for this book (now I think I mixed it up with another book) so I kept going thinking it would improve. It doesn't. It's a story about teens and seemingly written by one.

Good start, but typical as there was no ending

Great story line. Sorry, quick read. Good characters, but the story barely started when the book ended. No build up to conflict or resolution. Seems like the book only has what I consider the base development to the plot and ended. Authors really need to work on writing a full story on one book there days.

Okay read

This had all the right Ingredients , however I struggled to connect with the main characters and everything about it felt rushed. This is definitely suited for a younger reader , I won't be continuing with the story myself .

Ok

I think this book was just ok. It wasn't bad or particularly great. It is well written and interesting. I wish the characters had more personality. Maybe we get more in the next book. It's worth checking out.
