But there’s an even bigger secret—Patty and her sister are the daughters of the King of Shialia, and Patty is next in line for the throne. Fortunately, Sam is there to protect her, body and soul. And he’s going to have to work overtime, because everyone around him has their sights set on Patty. She’s worth a lot of money, but Sam is the only one who knows she’s priceless. Patty will do anything to protect her sister. But when she leaps before she looks has she bitten off more than she can chew?
Royal Hacker by Linzi Baxter is second in the White Hat Security series. Patty is used to marching to the beat of her own drummer. She hasn’t found a rule that isn’t in need of being bent. But when her hacking leads her to an exclusive BDSM club, she may have taken on a wee too much. But at least she meets the object of her fantasies….Sam. Sam is fascinated by the pixie that is Patty. I love that Ms. Baxter gives Patty someone who appreciates her quirkiness. I also love that Sam is ready for something more permanent when Patty enters his world. And Sam isn’t playing now that she has caught his interest. I loved that he wanted to get to know Patty before introducing sex into their relationship. Ms. Baxter made it clear that Patty and Sam had chemistry but also wanted to take it slow. I loved that Patty was all ready to jump into a sexual relationship but Sam slowed them down. Talk about a role reversal but it fit these characters. I enjoyed the sense of family Ms. Baxter brought to this world. This was my first time reading Ms. Baxter’s work and I can say it will not be the last. This world she has crafted felt real and believable and I can’t wait to see where she will take us next.

Hmm. A royal princess in hiding, but she tells everyone! A bdsm club owner who talks a lot about it but doesn’t do it!

In a lot of ways I’m feeling guilty that I only give this book two stars. But there are too many inconsistencies!

Sam owns a bdsm club and talks about controlling Patty during sex. It never happens, and the sex scenes are boring!!! Apart from sitting her on his knee and trying her hands during sex that’s all the bdsm!!!

Patty is the oldest daughter of a king and she hides who she is and who her sister is, to everyone. Yet then tells everyone who she is. It’s all so weird!!!

Some parts are ok. Sam treats her so romantically. Patty is awful!!! A true spoilt princess!!! She wants her way all the time and it’s annoying!!!

This review contains vague spoilers…

Overall I mostly enjoyed reading this, but there are a few things about the main character that literally made me want to scream. Patty is supposedly a brilliant hacker and royalty in hiding - but when she receives threatening emails that match an active serial killer she fights against and regularly complains about having security and a body guard?! What is wrong with her? Growing up as royalty she should understand why she needs a security detail and why threats must be taken seriously. When her friends and family essentially beg her to take the threats seriously she acts like a moody teenager. This response doesn’t make her a strong independent woman but rather careless and entitled.

good read

Patty was a fun character, with her constantly changing hair colors, obsession with Reece’s peanut butter cups, basset hound named lemon, impressive hacking skills which she used to prank her friends and body guards as well as run a tech company. Plus she’s a Princess, first in line for the throne of her country. But next to none of the people close to her know about her hacking skills or title. She works as a personal assistant for another tec company while secretly running her own on the side. Oh and she has a twin sister that everyone around her knows but no one knows they’re sisters… BUT! All of Patty’s secrets are forced into the open when she hacks her way into Sam’s private club to confront her cheating brother-in-law.

I voluntarily reviewed this ARC book. Good story with a HEA. Patty and her sister have a secret, they are royalty and Patty is a secret hacker. But someone knows Patty's secrets and covets Patty putting her in danger. Patty meets Sam after confronting her cheating Brother in Law at a BDSM club. He is immediately taken with her and wants her in his life. But even Sam cannot imagine the secrets that Patty will have to unveil for him. When Patty becomes the target of a deadly serial murderer all of her secrets are spilled out to the world stripping any protection she had. Can Sam keep her safe and locate the serial killer or will he lose Patty forever

I received this book via ARC. I loved it.
Patty, a hacker/princess in hiding, wants to fix her sister's problem of a stupid husband who is up to something. In doing so she ends up falling into Sam's lap. Sam runs a security firm and a BDSM Club. After they start to date Patty reveals she is getting weird emails. It ends up being the Waterville Starker, the same that Sam's company is investigating for kidnapping and murders. Things escalate both sexually for Patty and Sam as well as with the stalker. It will keep you in the edge of your seat. Now I have to wait to see what happens to her sister!

Secrets, Skeletons in closets, Kidnapping, Romance, Sex and some hot as hell spanking.

Totally invested in ths story from page 1.

One BDSM club owner and One spunky little Pixie the fireworks are sure to start flying.

Loved how even as sure of themselves of their wants and needs the author still shows their everyday insecurites which makes the characters that much more relatable to.

I love how even the alpha males with all their testerone and then some let the women be themselves somewhat begrudgingly at times but totally bend to ne supportive when it matters.

Loved this second installment and cannot wait to read the next...

Sam and his Pixie

They are complete opposites, he is a DOM, serious, plays by the rules and owns the room when he enters. Patty is small, rainbow haired, takes pleasure in not just bending the rules but smashing them to smithereens, she works in the shadows and hides a major secret. But together they just...work! They challenge each other in the best ways, have chemistry that explodes from the page and he offers her something she never even knew she needed.
I really like this series, it has strong characters, an amazing support cast and twists that keep you guessing. A great read on Kindle Unlimited.

Fantastic Must Read. What an amazing story written by this superb writer. This is the 2nd book of the White Hat Security series and my second read of this author. Once again the writer did not disappoint with this fantastic set of characters and the storyline just flowed really well. Very intriguing plot. I loved the BDSM club and how it brought Sam the owner into the the story and how he wants to protect his priceless jewel in Patty who is next in line to the throne of Shialia, a well kept secret. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

Fun read!

Granted I accidentally read this book before book one, but I had a fun time reading it. I loved the spunky little pixie Patty. I also enjoyed the white hat hacker world this took place in. I'm not into all the sex scenes, but the story line itself was riveting. I adore this family of characters and can't wait to see what happens to her twin Jessica in the next book. What's up with these two repeatedly getting kidnapped?

I received a free copy of Royal Hacker by Linzi Baxter and this review was given freely.
Hacker and princess in hiding Patty meets Special Ops and now BDSM club owner Sam. The story is suspenseful and steamy with hints of BDSM and hints of violence intertwined with random facts provided by Patty's sister Jessica. This complex story has a few twists leading to a happy ending for one sister and a cliffhanger ending for the other.

I loved this book. I found he intensity level higher in this book than the first one. Loved Sam, a protective and patient alpha. Patty is a bit of a wild card, and this makes me smile, considering her heritage, she's a firecracker. I loved all the hacker hijinks that she did for all her friends. Definitely I could not put this book down. I'm onto the next chapter.

Very enjoyable hacker suspense

So I'm two books in to the series and I'm really enjoying it. There isn't much in the way of actually hacking being done. Its more about the suspense and the fact she is a hacker in danger. But the romance is sweet but dirty, just how I like it. And there are clues in the book for the 'who-dun-it'. I like the fact that the first 2 chapters of book 3 are at the end of this book. Having read them I'm definitely going into book 3.

An exciting, fast paced read that's full of thrills, suspense and hot, BDSM action. The story had plenty of 'edge of the seat' drama and unexpected added twists, with sexual content that wasn't too 'over the top' which I liked. There's some great secondary character's too which I'm hoping to see in future books in the series. I liked this book and would highly recommend it!

This is a book I picked up for free from a newsletter, an excellent surprise. I love Linzi Baxter's writing, it's fluid and beautifully constructed. I loved the suspense in this one, and the exploration of the hacking world, mixed with a touch of BDSM this one is explosive. Great character work. Patty is my new hero. It was impossible to put down.

Royal Hacker

Royal Hacker is a steamy sexy story filled with humor and angst. Patty and Sam complete opposites but they fit. Chemistry between them is off the charts. I wished there were more scenes at the BDSM club. Another good story from this author in my opinion!! Happy Reading!!

I'm loving this series of badass women hackers. Royal Hacker is the second book in the series and is Patty and Sam's story. I think Patty is my spirit animal with her spunk spitfire attitude and always changing her hair color. I can't wait to start the next book, which is Patty's sisters book (Jessica and Brock).

Gifted copy. Writing voluntary review

Royal Hacker is a easy read that is fast paced with suspense and family drama. Expect a few twists. While there are times I rolled my eyes at things during BDSM settings, it still was an enjoyable read. Look forward to next book in series.

The adventure continues with Patty and Sam. She breaks into his BDSM club and gets the ball rolling. He wants to teach her a lesson but not everything is as it seems and surprises just keep popping up. Read on and get ready for book three.

Patty’s intro in book one didn’t bode well for her book but I took a chance. Also, I’m very particular about BDSM books when she is disciplined right off it kinda turned me off. Three hard strikes with no warm up???

This was a hit and miss for me.

Simple but Sweet

I love these books because they're simple, sweet, but the characters are well rounded and the stories are good. There are no errors in writing, grammar, punctuation etc that stand out.
