AI Empire #1

The Link

Rate this book
An impossible enemy. A fleet surrounded. One AI's struggle to save his machine brothers and sisters--and humanity itself--from complete destruction.

Jain and his fleet of elite AI warships hurry to Earth's defense when an alien empire known as the Link stages an all-out attack. Though his fleet is equipped with the most powerful weapons tech ever developed, with enough firepower to raze an entire moon base, even Jain's mighty vessels prove no match for the enemy.

When unexpected allies show up, the tide seems to turn in his favor. But will it be enough?

Perhaps. The aliens were expecting to find a race of organics barely out of the stone ages.
It must have come as quite a shock when they realized they faced a budding AI Empire.

"Earth is requesting assistance."
Author Isaac Hooke brings together his various teams of Mind Furbs from three different series eras to fight to save the earth, and the future, from attack by the Link Empire. As always, the book is packed with original fighting scenes, unusual tactics and fun interactions between the once human, now AI brain controlled machines (from smaller mechs to starships) but with all of the memories of humanity still in place. Great read for those familiar with previous series but also a good jumping off point for anyone new to meet these awesome warriors - humanity's next evolution

Fast paced action on several fronts

This is an interesting book, as three different veteran groups are needed to help defend Earth from alien invasion. Things go relatively well when each group is in their own area and there is minor head butting when some of them need to work together on a mission; not too much though.

The action is fast paced most of the time and view points shift among the major protagonists, though for full sequences, so the story flows pretty smoothly.

Amazing Story where Isaac was able to combine all the AI and Mech into 1 story to fight the Link an Alien Empire who attacked earth. The earth had made an alliance with the Mimics who then broke the alliance. A lot of action.

Sorry I tried with book, despite starting in an action scenario, the whole concept that everyone is an AI/Avatar I found it just became a jumble of parts so gave up part in. May appeal to those more into this but not for me.
