Enormous, commanding, and hotter than sin, Copper is the only man Shell has ever wanted. Even as a young teen, when it was impossible and taboo to capture the attention of a grown man, she longed for him. For years, Shell clung to the dream of turning eighteen and finally being noticed by the Hell’s Handlers’ rough and gruff president. But the universe had other plans, and she was forced to make a horrible choice. A choice that altered the course of her life forever, sealing her fate and ensuring the dream of being Copper’s ol’ lady would never materialize.
Sixteen years his junior. Daughter of his MC’s former president. Single mother whose deadbeat sperm donor doesn’t provide an ounce of support. Loved as a younger sister by every man in the club. The list of reasons goes on for Copper to stay away from Shell. Problem is, he’s been hot for her for years. Copper finally gets some relief when she moves out of Tennessee, but once she’s back, all those reasons to keep his distance grow weaker by the day.
Unable to fight against his own judgment any longer, Copper finally claims Shell for his own. But once again the universe steps in, revealing secrets with the power to destroy them both.
Shell will do anything for Copper, even tear out her own heart and confront the most agonizing parts of her past. But will she be too late to save her dream? Will she be too late to save Copper?
I wrote a review and for some reason it disappeared and this book isn't worth a rewrite so...... random thoughts
Copper stayed away from Shell Because she is the former president's daughter and is 16 years his junior but when she stripped in front of him all his reasons flew out the window 🤦
We've been hearing about Shell and her supposed unrequited love for Copper throughout this series, she was as pathetic as I expected
Her constant battles with Copper about paying for things when she's working 2 jobs and barely scraping by didn't come across as independent but really rather dumb and ridiculous
The mere fact that as a teenager she so loved Copper that she allowed herself to be blackmailed into sleeping with his brother so that Copper wouldn't go to jail ,showed just how pathetic she really was. I'm quite sure had she brought the situation to the mc something would've been done. The situation turned my stomach
Why didn't she tell Copper Beth was his brother's child? Ugh she deserved his reaction
Copper just came across as foolish, staying away from her for so many years then all of a suddenly it's my woman this and my ol' lady that. Ugh
The mc is starting to look incompetent in regards to the situation with Lefty
The sexy times were not sexy at all
I didn't like this one all that much but I'm still looking forward to more books in this series.
I loved Copper's relationship with Beth and the fact that he was celibate since Shell moved back to town.
**** I really really don't like this cover
******Dear author the characters in this series all wink so much I'm wondering if they all have a medical condition? Is it contagious? Will I too, be winking at everything people say?? 🤔
Lilly Atlas is one of my favorite MC authors, and Copper has quickly become one of my favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this story from start to finish. I had high expectations for Copper's story, and I'm pleased to say that the author delivered.
Copper, with his commanding presence and aura of danger, has always intrigued me. In this book, we see a softer, more vulnerable side of him, hinting at a longing for love and family that he believes is out of reach. Shell, the female lead, is a strong, independent, and loving character who captured my heart. Her sacrifices and unwavering love for Copper added depth to the story and showcased her resilience and strength. The plot is filled with drama, betrayals, and unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between Shell and Copper is palpable, leading to steamy and intense romance scenes that sizzle off the pages.
The emotional depth of the characters and the gripping storyline make this a must-read for fans of MC romance. I was captivated by the story and eagerly anticipate the next installment in the series. Overall, Copper is a heart-wrenching and captivating read that I highly recommend. Lilly Atlas continues to impress with her storytelling skills, and this book is a standout addition to her collection. It's a book I'll revisit from time to time. #RecommendedRead
The anxiety is seriously at 100% dudes and I didn’t think that was possible. The whole structure of the book was still magic. Painful anxiety inducing magic. Yes, Copper and Shell are a pair we have met and fallen for in the past but getting this hard core dive into what makes them tick, and what made them who they were? It was damned good. True the pain they suffer is the most intense thing ever. But for this family you have to be tough and they weather that better then anyone can really hope for given the obstacles against them.
Copper was the fourth book in Lilly Atlas’ Hell’s Handlers MC series. We’ve been watching Copper and Shell since book one.
Copper was the Hell’s Handler’s President. He was forty and had the weight of the MC on his shoulders. Before the last MC President was killed and Copper took over, he promised him that he would always look after his daughter, who was sixteen years his junior and eleven at the time of her father’s death. Said daughter was now grown up and had a daughter of her own.
Michelle “Shell” Ward was a single mom to Beth and she kept loads of secrets. She was loyal to the Hell’s Handler’s even after her father was killed and her mother cut all ties. They were her family and she would die for them. She had loved Copper from afar since she was a teenager but he had made it known over the years that she was merely a child to him and he didn’t return her feelings.
Copper and Shell had been dancing around the chemistry since we met them. Copper refused to act upon it due to their age difference but he always protected her and Beth at all costs. Their relationship finally came to a head and we slowly learned the secrets Shell was keeping as Atlas unraveled more of the mystery behind the Hell’s Handlers.
I enjoyed the big picture of the storyline; however, it was hard to stomach at times - nothing bad between Copper and Shelly or even the Hell’s Handler favorites, but a few new faces made my stomach queasy. It was still well written and well developed, but personally not my favorite storyline.
All in all, it was fairly quick, steamy, suspenseful and an enjoyable read. The primary plot concluded but there were several open ended details that will carry over into future books. I’m not sure where Atlas will take us but there are still several stories to tell. I can’t wait to see where she leads us next.
Been waiting for this one for awhile. Copper and Shell. She’s got secret’s, what’s going on there, and Copper, yeah there’s an age gap but he’s had his eye on Shell for years, well ever since she’s been old enough to be noticed as a woman and not a child, but still Copper feels he’s too old for her. Will his yearning ever end? I wasn’t disappointed. The writing was phenomenal and the action and thrills keep a come with Copper and you’ll be astounded finally by the secrets when they are revealed. Loved it! Yeah! Copper has done terrible thing’s, but haven’t all the “brothers” done some thing! But you can’t help liking them and Copper is no exception...they love their women and cherish their kids...that says it all right there. Looking forward to more exciting MC reads. I highly recommend this book!
First off I have to say I have waited for forever for Copper and Shell's story ever since I read Zach's story. I had to know who this surly big man who bossed Shell around and she allowed it. The man who stole Shell's heart and never gave it back. I knew this was going to be one of those stories where I would laugh, cry, and get angry as all get up! Lily did not disappoint me in the least bit.
Shell has loved Copper ever since she was a kid. She knew she wanted to be his Ole' Lady one day and she just knew they would be together. But see there was a problem with that because her father warned Copper to stay away from his baby girl and Copper was much older than she was so he saw her as a sister at first then saw her as a young woman.
Copper tries hard each and every day to keep his hands and mouth and everything else off of Shell but it has gotten to get harder and harder for him. He can no longer keep his distance and he finally submits to Shell and his love when yes freaking YES trouble in the form of his brother comes to them and the club. Shiz gets real and there are things that come out that could destroy Shell and Copper's relationship. Is Shell and Copper strong enough to face down those demons and get them in the arse and move on to have the HEA they have always wanted or will the devil himself come up from hell and claim them both?
I said it before but I will say it again BEST EVER MC SERIES that is a MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've read all of the books in this series and liked them all. I've been waiting on Copper and Shell's story since the first book. He's sixteen years older than her and has fought against the mutual attraction for years. She's now in her late twenties for this book. The author took a unique approach for the villain in the story. I'm looking forward to more of the Hell's Handlers.
4.6 stars. Damn. This was rough, man. The shit Shell went through because of her unfailing loyalty…heartbreaking.
Copper and Shell together, though? So good. I love their relationship. Shell has been in love with Copper since she was a kid. Copper has been watching out for her forever, and lusting after her since she turned 18.
Their relationship was hard fought. But I loved how it all turned out. I’m glad I decided to pick this one up, even with all the gut wrenching things that we learn Shell went through.( I’m being completely serious when I tell y’all to check trigger warnings with this book. Shell went through some truly terrible things in the name of loyalty.)
I just really loved this. I can’t wait to read more in the series and see these characters pop up around the clubhouse.
Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trope: friends to lovers, age gap Angst: 😱😱😱 Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥
This is one of my favorite MC stories of all times. I read it a couple of years ago, but decided it was time for a reread. Super fast paced with a couple of rip your heart out moments that will definitely make you cry. If you're a fan of MC romance and haven't read Lilly Atlas, you'll definitely want to give her a try. I promise you won't go away disappointed!
I love love love love Lilly Atlas books I've had the pleasure of reading almost every one of them and fell in love with the characters along the way . This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend that you start with the first Hell riders book Zach and work your way to this one the characters are mentioned through out the series and the couples from the first three stories do make an appearance . This is one I've been waiting for ever since the characters were introduced I couldn't wait to get my hands on this love story . My heart really broke for the couple with what they went through especially the heroine when we learn the full truth my emotions went a little haywire . loved Shell she was the bomb every thing about her characteristics drew me in just admired how she was with her daughter and the club . Copper oh my Copper he frustrated me but it was understandable why he didn't want to go there with the heroine even though he really really REALLY wanted to he may have put his foot in his mouth a couple of times but made up for it in the end , it was interesting to see such a strong hero be so insecure when it came to Shell . It's always amazing to read a dual point of view like how we get to see were the characters are coming from there thoughts and fears put in perspective for the reader . Shell and Copper share such a strong bond the chemistry is off the charts HOT SEX scenes are legit pantie melting . I can't wait to see what's to come from this series it's just amazing if Lilly Atlas is new for you you definitely need to check her out because wow plus if you a fan of MC books she is a go to author . copy provided for honest review **************************************** hero=10 heroine=10 secondary characters=10 Chemistry=10 steam=8 romance=6 humor=4 darkness level=5 action=5 mystery=4 enjoyment=10 angst=3 story line=10 Story ending=10 character development=10 pacing=10 cover=10 Blurb =10 Stars = 5 Is this part of a series =yes Can it be read as a standalone = yes but recommend the author would I recommend this book=yes would I re read this book= yes would I read future books by this author= yes
Good read, but I figured it out from the first chapter. I did read it till it was done. Glad they got their HEA since the tension has been around since book one. Love the MC that the women have created. They are even more scary then the guys are at times! Love them and their strength. On to the next since I have cleaned all the closets and really don’t want to do yard work! I pray we all get back to normal soon.
This is truly a great series.... I'm loving every little bit of it!!! This is Copper's book, the president of the MC and the one I've been waiting for. Is 16 years older/younger too old/young for the one who has loved you for 10: years? Copper thinks so. Shell has been in love with Copper since before she even knew what love was. He too has loved her but wouldn't allow himself to get together with her... she had even left for a few years and then come home with a little girl who has red hair just like Copper... Did she go and find a look alike? Copper has enough on his plate... His brother was in the prison for a few years but now out for good behavior. The brother he half raised. What's going to happen now? Read it find out... you won't regret it. For adults only
Oh, where to start? And I'm not asking that because it's going to be a good review.
The blurb caught my attention - younger heroine, older hero. Yes! I never say no to such a story, so I bought it and started reading it.
All was well until it wasn't. The heroine... she annoyed me. Okay, I get that she went through some bad stuff and they were all traumatic for her, but she's kind of a wuss - and she herself admits it. Fine, the first step in solving a problem and changing something about yourself is admitting you have a problem, right? Even better if you realize what said problem is. But if that's the only thing you do, well honey, it won't be changing itself.
I mostly liked the hero. Plot wasn't the best I read, nor the worst, so it was ehhh. Take-it-or-leave-it. But the heroine... Yes, I'm back to her because *mild spoilers* when she has to confess something, her friend does it instead because she just stands there and lets the bad guy twist the situation into his favor. I didn't know whether to roll my eyes or stop reading.
Anyway, it also seems to have some filler sex scenes - which is a big no-no - that I ended up skipping. Actually, the last 20% was me reading one or two dialogues from a page and I haven't missed a thing.
I just wanted a great MC book. This was not it. 2.5 stars.
I really enjoyed Copper and Shell's story. It was a fast paced lots of drama, action and super hot steamy scenes.
Copper stayed away from Shell because firstly she was too young, and secondly he promised her dad, the clubs old president he would keep the other men away from her. But on his fourtieth birthday he just couldn't stay away anymore and did he really want to. Life was good, the club was doing well and he just got the best news ever, his brother was getting out prison. But the moment Rusty came home, things started going wrong. Someone was stealing from the club and Shell was pulling away from him. Shell has been in love with Copper for as long as she can remember, but he wont give her the time of day. But lately things has changed, and it seems that finally she her wish is coming true. She finally has her man, but fate has other plans for them. She has been living with a terrible secret and will Copper do when he finds out her secret. Will her stay by her side or will this be something that tears them apart before they have even began.
Lots of drama, lots of action, funny moments and a great MC story. Hope there is more in this series.
Well this is the book I have been waiting for. In the first three books in the series we all picked up the attraction between Shell and Copper, and it was everything I wanted and more. This can be read as a standalone, but for more enjoyment it great to read the books in order. The story is alternating points of view’s between Copper and Shelle. Well this book has it all love, hot sex, hunky prez, And some disturbing action, but I loved it . I was pulled in at the beginning and couldn’t put it down. This was a late nightery or an early morner read, as I really needed to finish. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the Audio book. Lilly Atlas’s audiobooks are usually duet narration and this series has been great so far.
For the life of me I do not understand the need to write such weak, stupid female leads. For someone who grew up in a MC Shell was TSTL. I have absolutely no sympathy for her. All she had to do is tell Copper, or one of the other guys in the Club, what was going on with Rusty years ago and she would have been protected. Or she could have said something when the ass came home but she choose to stay quite and protect the creep.
And the guys came across as stupid. It's like they had one brain to share and it was out being cleaned. None of these so called 1% were not the least suspicious about who the thief was? Who was running drugs? Not a one of them?
Copper is book #4 in the Hell’s Handlers series. Copper can absolutely be read as a stand-alone but you will miss some of the back stories and understanding of certain characters. I recommend you start with Zach, book #1 and so on. Now that my warning is done here is my review!
But there’s a code. There’s loyalty, family, protection.
I have been waiting for Copper’s story since Zach! Copper is the president of the Hell’s Handlers MC. He has been fighting his feelings toward Shell for years. Copper feels that Shell is off limits because she is sixteen years his junior and the daughter of the previous Hell’s Handlers president. He promised her dying father that she would be protected, and not let any of the bikers in the club near her.
She was the perfect combination of sweetness and biker babe all wrapped in one sexy as sin little package.
As Copper approaches his fortieth birthday he starts to wonder why he feels so restless and dissatisfied. The men in his club are all settling down and it is starting to have some appeal. Copper and Shell have had a natural pull toward each other. Chemistry in spades. But Copper has always kept his distance. He knew he’d be done if he touched her…
…he never touched Shell, not hugs, not pats on the arm, not even so much as a handshake.
I loved Shell! She suffered from unrequited love for many years as she crushed on the gruff, raw & fierce Hell’s Handlers MC president. She is loyal to the club and has made many sacrifices for them. Shell still considers the club her family and it hasn’t stopped loving them even after her dad’s death.
Strong females are present throughout the Hell’s Handlers series. I love how the women support each other. Shell is no exception. She is a single mom to 4 year old Beth. She works hard and refuses to take money or “hand-outs” from the club. Shell is stubborn, thoughtful and kind. She is never afraid to go head-to-head with Copper. Having Beth at eighteen has kept her busy. I loved how Beth was incorporated into the story. Such sweet and funny moments as she wrangles all of the big MC men around her little finger!
There is so much to Copper and Shell’s story! Circumstance and situations from the past and the present kept me on the edge of my seat! Although Copper is the tough MC President he also has a soft side that Shell brings out of him. And Beth! Copper will melt your heart as he loves and cares for the tiny but mighty four year old!
I have really enjoyed the Hell’s Handlers series! Although it is a bit contemporary I felt it had a great combination of angst and romance with just the right amount of grit. Jigsaw gave us many emotional moments. Copper did as well but combined them with heartbreak moments as well.
The women of the MC were its heart. And quite possibly the backbone. Each strong and kickass in their own right.
If you are look for a sexy, hot MC series with strong men and even stronger women then Hell’s Handlers is for you!!! I am hoping for Rockets story next and I have a feeling it will really grab at my heart!
I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to finally get my hands on Copper and Shell’s story and it was totally worth the wait! So. Much. Happens. Which means this review will be nice and vague because, spoilers sweetie, I don’t do them. What I will say though is, my god but can Lilly Atlas write a story that is entirely captivating! I was completely enthralled with Copper and Shell! I’m talking couldn’t put this down for even a second, shushing anyone who dared to try to speak to me, and maybe bumping into a couple walls while trying to read and walk. Shell has been a bit of a mystery for a while. The years she was gone remaining unknown to everyone along with the identity of her father’s daughter. The one thing that has never been a mystery has been how deeply in love she is with Copper. Copper on the other hand is the total opposite. An open book when it comes to his brothers and the MC family but fighting and denying his feelings towards Shell. The sparks have been flying between these two for pretty much the entire series and even that could not prepare me for how incredibly explosive they were when Copper finally stopped fighting. All that incredible chemistry paired up with some truly sweet, yet still full of MC grit romance makes for major swoon. There are so many eye opening twists and turns to go along with it you’ll be kept on the edge of your seat while your heart is stolen!
I was really looking forward to this! So very patiently waiting and so excited! At first it was amazing, sexy, charming and exactly what I was expecting!
But.... the end of this book pissed me off. Way too many tstl moments. And by the Hero no less, which was “different” I suppose.
It was great until Rusty was released and entered the picture. Hello, Mister President?! So, suddenly Rusty is back and someone is stealing from your club, selling drugs and beating your brothers up, acting all twitchy!? And you don’t even suspect him? Then the way he reacted to her side of the story? Yeah... hey. How about you don’t worry about dear old Rusty for five minutes and take care of your woman. I would have preferred her telling him the truth right out of the gate, but I get that that wouldn’t have made the story as “dramatic” I just hate miscommunications in books, especially when they lead to this kind of drama. I do understand why she didn’t tell him immediately, and they were only apart for a few days (thank goodness) but yeah... not a happy camper... and then meeting his psychopathic brother with no backup. Eye roll of epic proportions! 🙄💥
Typos can we talk about those?! Why are books being so poorly edited these days? I don’t understand how editors miss so many blatant errors. It’s very distracting.
On a final note, I think Copper should have killed Rusty. But alas the bad guy did it and is being preserved for future books.
Ok I’ll stop ranting now.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series, and I have been waiting to read Copper and Shell’s story since the beginning. Shell has loved Copper the president of his MC forever, but he has convinced himself he is too old for her. No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster journey, and is filled with action, suspense, secrets, twists, humour, heartbreak, and love. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
I'd definitely give this 4.5 🌟🌟🌟🌟's! First book I've read from this author and it likely won't be the last. I noticed a few grammatical errors but it didn't stop me from finishing the book. Nice story, sexy H and h, 🔥scenes, some suspense and a HEA.
I feel like I've waited for the Prez to have his book forever and it was so worth the wait. I just love Copper and Shell. The make the perfect King and Queen.
