“It’s hard being a gay man when you think you’re straight.”
Straight men were never Jami Caulfield’s style and especially one with a wife who uses her babies by another man like a pawn in a chess game. Maxwell Gold never thought he would fall in love with a gay man, and especially one who is Trans with two ex-lovers who hold the secret to why they can’t let Jami go. Will Maxwell Gold discover Jami’s secret of why he’s so desirable? Or will he think that Jami is too over the top, and will never accept him or his babies? Will Jami make Maxwell his, and overlook the children, or will Jami return to his ex-lover and leave Maxwell wondering WTF just happened to his life?
Life has a way of messing with your mind and your love.
Jami and Max are trying to get married. Both are challenged by events and rumors and behavior by former partners and relatives that have disrupted their lives previously. Even friends and employees do things that try to come between them. Just as it seems too much, a death in the family change things again. But the pregnancy source can be identified by DNA testing to clear up the lies and power plays.
Jami: Darkness to Light is a fun second book in Sky McCoy's Boys With Toys series.
Jami's as delightful as ever, in this tale of change. Jami and Maxwell are faced with issues with Maxwell's ex wife, as they prepare for parenthood. And then if things weren't tough enough, Jami's sister is convinced that Maxwell should be with her. The sex is hot and we're introduced to a little puppy play, and we get to read about the smaller man being a top. I look forward to the next book.
Jami. Book two by Sky McCoy. I liked this one better than the first. I’m really enjoying the storyline and characters. I had some trouble reading, because I think the main characters names were switched sometimes.
The continuation of Jami and Mac's journey... This book delivers an entertaining story filled with twists, turns and heat. The characters are more endearing as they evolved and I can't want to read what happens next....
I really liked this one more than the first book. In this one I felt more connected to the characters and really felt their emotions. I felt like Max and Jami really progressed in this one, not just their relationship but also themselves as individuals. Great story with lots of heat and great twists and turns. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I enjoy this series but this one felt really rushed and a lot of missing things. The Segway from one person to another wasn’t really clear and the time jump was a little crazy too! I was glad to see more of the guys but jami past was still a jumbled cluster f*ck in the end. Perhaps book 3 will be better.
