"Once upon a time..."
...my best childhood nights had started with this wonderful phrase!

Ever since I can remember, I loved a good story!

All started thanks to my beloved grandfather! He used to read to my sister and me, stories of mighty princes and horrifying dragons! Even now, sometimes I miss those cold winters in front of the fireplace in my hometown, Texas!

My best stories though were the ones from the Bible! Such is the spiritual connection that a cozy warm pass through my body every time I hear a biblical story!

My childhood memories were not all roses, but I always knew that the strongest shelter would be always there for me! It was Him!

Years passed by, and little-Chloe grown up reading all kind of stories! It was no surprise that I had this urge to write my own stories, and share them with the word!

If I have a God's purpose on Earth, I think it is to spread His love and wisdom, through my stories!

This was an excellent read. It was very well written. The author gets her idea for the book from the story of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15. However she makes the story her own. It is not similar to it at all. I am glad that she did that. It made her story very interesting. It too has a moral to the story. This is the story of two brothers that could not be more different. The two brothers are Walter and Arthur. Walter is very good at academics and studiously follows in his Father's footsteps as an engineer and takes over the company that his Father and his friend created. When the Father ran the company it produced engines for trains and helped to establish the railroad in America. Walter moves the company in the direction of providing engines for ocean lines making travel easier and quicker between the United States and England. Arthur has no direction really doesn't know what he wants to do with himself. He is not really good at academics and doesn't enjoy the type of work that his father did or his brother does. He also has an imagination and dreams of life in the West. As children growing up they had a very close friendship with Laura Adamson daughter of their Father's partner in Business. Laura shared the interest of both brothers so enjoyed a friendship with both. However Laura seemed to lean towards Arthur in her friendship although it wasn't so obvious when they were young. From very young the 2 boys competed. It was probably seen as more of a competition by Walter. However as Walter gets older he becomes more domineering in his relationship with Laura. Laura had gone to Walter for assistance in a matter involving her Father and in the process of giving Walter a hug for his assistance with the problem involving her Father. Arthur sees this and misinterprets what it means.

Arthur decides he needs to make changes in his life and heads to Idaho to obtain a land grant. Things don't go well as he tackles trying to make the land productive. He and Laura attempt to write one another to share their feelings; but Arthur intercepts their letters so that all communication between Arthur and Laura are prevented.

This is a very well written novel that is inspirational. Arthur finally straightens up his life and exercises his faith. He is able to overcome. It is also a story about second chances and forgiveness.

Her Prodigal Cowboy by Chloe Carley is a sweet historical romance about two brothers and the girl they grew up with. No two brothers had ever been different. Walter is serious, good with business, a hard-worker. Arthur is a ne'er-do-well who spends a lot of time drinking and gambling. One day Arthur sees his brother and Laura (the girl across the street) together and misreads the situation. He determines right there and then that he can't watch this relationship grow and that he has to make something of himself so he decides to homestead in Idaho. His father is able to speed the process along and he is ready to leave in a week. He embarks on his new life without saying good-bye to Laura.

This was a well thought-out story, pretty predictable but with such beautiful detail that reading it was a joy. Everyone knows the story of the prodigal from the Bible so figuring this one out didn't take much. The characters are written with a certain nuance and the information imparted about their lives and surroundings is clear and informational. It was a joy to read a book with such a positive outlook. I did have a huge question/criticism but it would be a spoiler so I will forget it for now. I recommend this book. It was a clever plot and an entertaining and positive read.

I received a free ARC of Her Prodigal Cowboy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Derailed 💘Love

Arthur and Walter are brothers that have grown up across the street from their father's business partner and his daughter Laura in New York City. Arthur was never keen on lessons and could be found often over with Laura at her home.
Walter was the studious one and heir to his father's share in the company that his father and Frank had built together. He was charged with looking after Arthur as they were growing up and was jealous that his brother was close to Laura and didn't have to show responsibility for anything.
Arthur was spending most of his time drinking, gambling and carousing often in company with others until one day he's approached by a man that knew his father and used to work for him, that mentioned to Arthur about the Homestead Act for land out west.
Due to a misunderstanding about the situation he'd seen between Walter and Laura, Arthur decides to check out the Homestead Act after talking to his dad about using his inheritance and procuring property out west. He leaves for Idaho without talking things out with Laura and when their letters to each other aren't received things between Walter and Laura becomes even more difficult when Walter's actions toward Laura are despicable after he holds the financial help that he gave her father over her as a form of blackmail.

DELIGHTFULLY DELICIOUS!!!
OMG! Wow. Man, I don't know if I have the words to describe this incredible adventure. A whirlwind of emotions and events that feed from the excitement and nerve racking tension that brings this bad boy roaring to life flawlessly. All twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches and bumps here and there pull you deeper into this raging storyline and hard hitting plot. Throw in all the drama, intrigue, uncertainty, fear, danger and suspense, you have one intense, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention and holds it from start to finish. The characters are complex and so believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. The scenes are so realistic you have no trouble picturing every scenario as it plays out perfectly. Chloe definitely nailed this bad boy 100% on point with such realism that it makes for one thrilling experience. Remarkable job Chloe, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

GREAT NEW READ WITH THIS AUTHOR 'S SIGNATURE QUALITY - the EXTENDED EPILOGUE

This was another touching story by Chloe Carley. This story concentrates on two families with three children. There are brothers, Walter and Edward and their dearest friend, Laura. The families are business partners and also the best of friends. However, as the boys have grown up they are each in love with Laura. The reader gets to enjoy the story of these young men as they have grown and seek their own pursuits in the world. Growing up in a life of riches and pleasure, watch how these three choose the paths of their lives to find their own personal HEA. A beautiful retelling of the "The Prodigal Son", which pulls the reader into the story. A totally clean, sweet and inspirational romance - with that wonderful signature quality by this author - the EXTENDED EPILOGUE! I would recommend this book to any readers that like inspirational romance.
I received an ARC copy of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review with my own personal thoughts and opinions. Vicki from Wyoming

This is a book based off the prodgical son. Walter the smart business minded and greedy son and Arthur the charming directionless son. They both are in love with Laura the girl across the road and their fathers business partner. Arthur ends up going out west to Idaho to seek his fortune since the father left the company to Walter when he retired. With Arthur gone Walters mean spirit continues to grow! Using deception and trickery he tries to get Laura to marry him. But Laura is in love with Arthur despite the distance apart. When Arthur returns and is embraced by their parents Walters bitterness continues to grow. When Arthur finally succeeds Walter can’t cope and completely disowns his brother. Bitterness rules Walters life and love and forgiveness rules Arthur’s. This was a long but good book.

This is a new look at the story of the Prodigal Son set in the late 1800's when the train connected both sides of country together. The younger son takes his inheritance and goes West to make his way as a homesteader. Walter the older brother does everything to keep Arthur and the woman both boys have been vying for attention from since they were young. I was awed and inspired by the author's attention to the older brother's heart. It was one that didn't recognize what love really consists of and considered anything or anyone he wanted a prize or possession. The younger's heart knew love and though his sins were many; he found redemption even through failure, because he knew he couldn't go it alone. This story touches the heart, mind and soul.

2 brothers love the same girl.

Another great book by CHLOE Carley. 2 brothers, the oldest, Walter, is a very conniving, mean spirited, selfish, boasting bully. The younger, Arthur a never do well who is kind and happy go lucky. The older changes for the worse and the younger for the better. They both love the same girl. Laura is a very sweet girl who has always loved them both as children, but her true love is only for Arthur. Arthur goes west and becomes the prodigal son. I recommend this book to all who enjoy good clean reading.

Though it started out a bit slow, this book was full of action, misunderstandings, manipulation, salvation and grace. When Arthur feels he's lost the love of his life, he gives up his drunken life and heads cross country to start a new life. His successful brother seemingly has it all--including the girl of his dreams. After tragedy strikes, Arthur returns home to pursue "risky love" and finds where his treasure is there his heart is also. I enjoyed the parallel of the prodigal son--with a little twist.

Society vs Homesteader

Chloe Carley’s books are always filled with twists and turns and this one is no exception. I appreciate how she takes a portion of Scripture and builds a story paralleling it. This love story will have you sighing with satisfaction. You will see and hear the bustle of New York City and the contrasting space and beauty of rustic Blackfoot Halt. Here is a tale of two mismatched brothers and a beautiful, sweet neighbor girl. Enjoy!

Bravo, Chloe Carley. This story was wonderful and I truly enjoyed reading it. Laura and Arthur are perfect together. Arthur goes West to find himself and prove he can be successful on his own. He left New York City mad and not even saying goodbye to Laura. This haunted him for two years. It takes a terrible storm to send him back and hoping his love will win Laura back. God will help them through it.

I like how Chloe took the Biblical parable of the prodigal son & turned it into a practical, believable real life example of 2 brothers & their 2 very different way of handling life. Started slow for me but turned out very enjoyable. It has the lesson of how to treat people & how not. I received an ARC & this is my voluntary review.

This is a great story! Character descriptions allow the reader to feel as if he/she knows the characters. I loved how this story was not predictable. It looked as if things were going in one direction but then things shifted. I love that the characters are all flawed in one way or another. No one in this story is perfect, but they fit perfectly together to make a page-turning, exciting story.
I recommend this story for someone who craves a good, clean story. Set in the West, this story is quite descriptive of the hardships of farming an untamed land. So, this story is perfect for lovers of that time period. It also explores the demands made on those of high society.
Be warned...when you pick up this book, you won't be able to put it down til you read the final page!

Definitely Inpspirational

Two families live and work together from the beginning. A female and 2 males are the children produced of these matches. It’s only natural that they fall in love with each other. But with one woman and two men, how will it be resolved is why you keep reading this book.

I enjoyed reading this book. While Arthur was kind, he was wasteful. His brother Walter was rich but he resented his brother. Both of them love Laura, the only daughter of their father's business partner. But who will win her hand? Which one really loves her? This is a Christian romance and it is sweet and clean.

GREAT READ

The storyline was magnificent! I am glad that Walter could not come between Arthur and Laura! I'm glad he decided to see her in person and true love finds away. But.... Tom and Ella. Should have realized what Walter was doing and they should have been told.
